   Having been around Italians most of my life and their food I could say this place reminds me of being back in Italy. The ambience is charming and the staff was amazing. I can’t remember the owners name but he came down and greeted us and gave us recommendations both for food and wine pairings. The carpaccio di manzo was amazing! Penne allá vodka was delicious. We also tried the New York steak, which I recommend. The tiramisu was on another level. Overall a great place for a date or even just dinner with friends. I’m looking forward to coming back and trying out new dishes.

   An Unforgettable Dining Experience at Orto – Santa Monica From the moment we arrived, Andrea and Alejandra welcomed us with the warmth of an Italian home. Their hospitality, flawless service, and a cozy ambiance straight out of old Tuscany set the perfect tone. We kicked off with cocktails — a true showstopper, as the bartender smoked them tableside, filling the air with a rich, irresistible aroma. Appetizers followed: a light, elegant Burrata with Prosciutto, and the Polpette della Nonna — tender, hearty, and full of tradition. The highlight: Andrea’s tableside Cheese-Wheel Pasta. Flames danced from a Grana Padano wheel as brandy melted the cheese into a silky sauce, finished with delicate truffle shavings over fettuccine — pure perfection. For the main course, I savored the Filetto al Pepe Verde — juicy, tender, and expertly cooked medium-rare. Orto is Italian dining at its finest — passionate, authentic, and unforgettable. Bravo to Andrea, Alejandra, and the team!

   What a wonderful restaurant! From the appetizers to the sublime pasta, all a hit. It felt like being in Italy without paying the airfare. Would definitely recommend!

   My wife, kids and I dined at ORTO recently and had a great experience. It’s always a little stressful bringing kids to a nicer restaurant, but the staff was incredibly accommodating and made us feel welcomed right away. The atmosphere is relaxed but still feels special, perfect for both families and couples. We started with fritto misto and the burrata and prosciutto, both of which were outstanding. The creamy burrata and salty prosciutto paired beautifully with a bottle of Barolo Francone we selected from their impressive wine list. Orto truly has a great thoughtfully curated wine list. For mains the cheese wheel pasta w fresh truffles and the filet mignon w peppercorn sauce were both outstanding. We finished with the cupola di orto a must get! Overall, a fantastic night we’ll definitely be back soon!

   I feel that the Italian food was amazing and delicious. The service was great. I love their cocktails and wine. My family and I have a good experience at Orto S.M. It is definitely recommend.

   My friends and I had an amazing time at Orto. The ambience was classy with good food and wine. I ate spaghetti di mare con mandorle. It was so delicious. I love how the owner ask the table if everything was fine. My friends and I really enjoyed the experience.

   From the moment we walked in the ambience was absolutely stunning. Elegant, warm, and inviting, perfect for date night. We started the evening with a glass of wine recommended by our server, and it was exceptional—perfectly paired and full of flavor. The pasta was easily some of the best we’ve ever had. fresh, perfectly cooked. Every bite was a delicious. The service was also outstanding. Attentive without being overbearing, the staff made us feel genuinely welcome and taken care of throughout the entire evening. This place exceeded all expectations, and we’re already looking forward to coming back very soon. Highly recommend!

    My experience was absolutely perfect. As soon as you walk in, the vibe is great, the music and the great customer service.. Don’t even get me started on the amazing dishes. I really enjoy the salmon It had just the right ingredients and great taste. Looking Fwd to going back an tasting  all the amazing Italian dishes.
