Ortine Cafe is a family owned and operated restaurant with a diverse menu. The restaurant is run by Sarah Peck, who previously ran two other local restaurants. At Orintine, she tends to the restaurant's herb garden as well as running the kitchen and creating the menu. Her husband, Steve, is the restaurants' beverage director and comes up with Cafe Orintine's drink menu. However, it doesn't end there. Steve's mother, Barbara, is the restaurant's lasagna and pizza expert and she's the one who runs the ovens. Orintine Cafe's menu hits several different notes, with no one region or style of cuisine dominating the menu. Guests can find items like Belgian waffles on the brunch menu, or braised short ribs on the lunch and dinner menus. Some of the specialties of the house include a corn-peach soup and a pizza that is topped with smoked trout, caramelized onions and egg.
