Festive Season Menu - Open December 20 to January 4, 2020 for Dinner Reservations
Great food and drinks, service was excellent, great scenery, pricey though
Excellent Food, nice quiet atmosphere, good service. Also have a Kids menu. Excellent Fairmont experience!
The food was just ok. Wasn’t at all happy with the Calamari. The service was ok. For a restaurant of this caliber and price I’d expect more. It’s more of a curiosity because of its location and perceived stature. I wouldn’t return for a second go around.
Excellent service and delicious food.
I think it was because they were closing the next day, but the service was way below what I expect. Long waits, lack of coordination, forgotten items. I would have liked the rolls and drinks with my appetizer and my coffee with my desert. Sadly none of this happened. The food, however was very good.
Just a weird experience. Was told they didn’t take reservations through open table by the hostess. Then we were told they were very busy so she’d take a name for the waitlist (table for 2). Waited only 5 Minutes before we were seated in a restaurant that was maybe 50% occupied but with what looked like a full cohort of staff...
We were undecided on buffet or al la carte so took a walk past the buffet — we passed on it as it looked like the food had been sitting for a while (skin on the hollandaise on the eggs benny and the beans, wilted garnishes, dried out looking bacon). Not very appetizing.
We ordered the blueberry pancakes and eggs Benedict from the menu. They were fine, nothing great or above my expectations. The orange juice was nice, as was the carafe of coffee for our table. Service was also fine.
Overall the experience was fine. Just. Fine. For coffee, OJ and 2 a la carte items it was about $60 which for a Fairmont hotel breakfast is normal I guess. I just didn’t leave there with any desire to return, nor was it memorable beyond the weird “we don’t take reservations through open table” situation at the beginning.
The menu was very odd and noticed others cancelled their reservations due to menu options. The menu choices were not appealing to our taste.
Excellent view, cozy, terrific service! Very accommodating.
We had a lovely dinner here. The service was great, the lobster pasta was fantastic and the view is beyond perfect.
The location is beautiful, the restaurant is overpriced for the quality of food, and the service is adequate; thus, the restaurant is pretentious. That said, it is difficult to have a bad experience in such a gorgeous place.
The butternut squash ravioli was yummy! Great service!
The restaurant had outstanding ambience, views and service. Truly first class. The waiter was very personable and friendly....and did I mention the view of Lac Beauvert is stunning? The food is Italian...very good. Not an extensive menu, but that’s fine by me. As one would expect at the Jasper Park Lodge.....it’s not inexpensive.
Pasta dishes did not taste good. I could have made better at home. The dessert, Manicotti, was terrible! I told manager. I think the main ingredient was left out. It tasted like pure sweet jellotin.
Nice restaurant with an amazing view. Food was really good. We had some good pasta, italian with a canadian twist. The service was also good!
We both had pasta dishes that were good Italian but not fantastic. Satisfying but did not blow us away.
Outstanding risotto with wild mushrooms and truffles after extremely fresh (and large) portion of calamari. Very attentive service and friendly atmosphere.
very ordinary food, disappointing. Friendly fast service. Food vaguely Italian at best
Very good food with great views! The service was exceptional!
We had an amazing meal and server! Such a great experience. Thank you!
We were expecting fine dining, but the food was quite basic. The amuse was simply a cucumber slice with tzatziki on top. There were no fresh vegetables as sides, only potatoes. The bread was cold, The vegan option of salad was romaine and tomatoes, and the vegan main was simple penne (unevenly cooked) with a tomato sauce. The other traditional main courses were mediocre at best. Service, wait staff were goodC, attentive, friendly. We had a much nicer meal experience the next day for lunch at the Emerald lounge, we should have dinner there, too.
Not great food or ambiance considering this is a Fairmont Hotel. Very small menu selection and they ran out of asparagus. Pasta dish very salty and overpriced. The JPL is a lovely place that needs work done on food and basement spaces.
Food was well prepared and high quality. Service was attentive. Good Italian dishes. Dessert was terrific. They handled allergy issues fairly well (asked ahead of time). Slight issue with staff trading tables and not transferring information. The manager of the restaurant is excellent and focused on the needs of his guests.
Very good service. Amazing scenery.
I had the whole sea bream that was very well prepare. Everything was very tasty. Highly recommended
The food and service were both strong. Can't wait to go back.
The service was below average and was very slow. Our meal for three took over two hours. The food and drinks were expensive, although that’s typical for the resorts to gouge their patrons which is unfortunate. The view is lovely although I can not recommend this spot based on the very slow service and cost of the meal.
Owen is a wonderful waiter. Best service ever. Fabulous causal salad and special entree of duck. Owens wine suggestion was right on. His dessert selection of cheesecake was deluxe. We ordered a second one.
Restaurant in the Fairmont Jasper Lodge. Food and service were very good - cost is a little high since the hotel has a captive audience. View of the lake from the restaurant.
Great restaurant in the bottom level of the Fairmont Jasper Lodge. Very good Italian dishes. Menu was a bit limited but the quality of the food was very good
Excellent service and food presentation. Customer service perfect as expected for high class restaurant.
Highly recommend Orso Trattoria. It was a fantastic meal, great service, good portion sizes with a fantastic view!
Meal was good but way to expensive for what you get !
The food wasn't worth the prises, way to expenses! People where nice and friendly, chairs where very uncomfortabel.
honestly, just too much money for what you actually get
This was a very nice dinner for our anniversary . Good very good and nice view and atmosphere
This restaurant has a good solid menu with a great staff and a wonderful setting. We had a delightful and, more importantly, relaxed dinner here with Frankie ends. The view is stunning if you are lucky enough to get a seat near the window.
Very nice Italian restaurant in a beautiful setting
We thoroughly enjoyed our evening. It felt great to relax with a delicious martini prior to dinner.
