Excellent service and food! We came back the next night!
Just wonderful all the way around- stop in if in area.
Pasta for >$20 should be better than just noodles. Penne ala vodka was appetizer portion sized for $22. Spaghetti and meatballs, spaghetti was mealy and doughy. Not good pasta for an Italian restaurant. Good calamari, good linguini and clams, except for the doughy linguini.
The restaurant itself is beautiful. The waiter did a great job. I ordered Chicken Parmesan, and the noodles in the spaghetti were chewy and the marinara sauce didn’t taste good. My boyfriend ordered the steak medium rare, and it came out medium. He liked the steak even though it was overcooked, but we couldn’t figure out what they put on top of the steak, and when my boyfriend tried it, he said it tasted sour. I would be less disappointed if it wasn’t as pricey, but the food is a bit pricey, and in that case, we expected better quality.
The noise level in the small building made it really hard to simply converse. We were at the small table in the middle of the bar and constantly had people bumping into us on both sides as they’d walk by or stop to talk at another table. Other than that, it made for a romantic yet lively restaurant. The food was very good!!
Hostess at the front was not pleasant at all. She was snobby and unwelcoming. Our order was wrong. The kid who brought the food out tried to argues with us that it wasnt wrong. Someone needs to teach these kids a lesson. The customer is always right. After i explained to him that the order was incorrect the server jumped in and had the dishes sent back. $24 for a plate of pasta w olive oil and basil? Gtfo. I make better pasta dishes at home for under $5bucks and i dont have to deal with arrogant little twats. I Would not dine here again.
We enjoyed Orsetto during the off-season. It was great to get there at 6:00 while it was quiet and then the restaurant filled up around us and was energetic. Our waiter was great and very attentive. Food was good and most in our group had the special which they raved about. I had the Veal Marsala which was good, but a little too much fat for me. Great wine list and everyone had good knowledge of the wines.
Very good food.
I ordered the clams & linguine. This was very good and the lemon sauce was exceptional. My husband ordered the "spaghetti" with a mixture of game meats sauce (can't remember the name). This just tasted like everyday spaghetti. Portions were very small. I appreciate the 2-for-1 special though. Service was great! Very noisy.
Our group of 6 dined at Orsetto for our last meal in Jackson. It was recommended by both a tour guide and hotel staff member. We made a same-day reservation online without difficulty. A restaurant employee called later in the day to confirm our reservation.
Our waitress was friendly and informative. Since it was low season, they were having special rates of buy-one-get-one free. While you would think this would result in a lower bill, the prices were actually quite high and our total was more than we expected. This is mentioned just as a cavaet.
We had a variety of meals: the "safari in a bowl", the bison spare ribs, the eggplant parm, and chicken parmigiana. FYI--the eggplant parm is done in thin layers, lasagna-style, and is very thick and filling. It does not come with or over pasta and I ordered some, thinking I would need it, but I definitely did not. All the meals were delicious. The place was busy and had a fun vibe.
The odd thing that happened was that when it came time to decide on dessert, the server, a different person that our waitress, actually tossed two copies of the dessert menu onto the table as he walked by! Threw, them, in fact! It was very bizarre. We had not been annoying customers in any way and had simply enjoyed a nice meal up until that point. I have no idea what that was all about or what we had done to deserve that treatment, but it definitely left a bad taste in my mouth.
If you are looking for a delicious Italian meal while in Jackson, you will enjoy Orsetto. Hopefully you won't have wait staff throwing menus at you!
We were delighted with our dining experience at Orsetto Italian Bar and Eatery. The food was excellent. I tried the pasta dish with roasted butternut squash and hickory nuts and it was amazing. My husband ordered the spaghetti and meatballs and loved his dish. In honor of breast cancer month, they were offering a buy one, get one free on their entrees with a $2 donation to breast cancer research. We loved dining here and contributing to this worthy cause.
Excellent preparation of creative versions of classics. Good service. Nice decor.
Basic linguine and clam sauce was so salty it was inedible. Salmon dish ok. Dessert was something taken out of the frig.
I had higher expectations. The service was good. The food was overpriced for what was offered. Keep ordering simple, and you should be ok. The eggplant parm was not good. It tasted like fried breadcrumbs. Spaghetti and meatballs were good along with the salads. Good wine list. You will be sitting very close to your neighbors and will hear everything they are talking about!
Really enjoy this restaurant. Some of he entries are a bit pricy and the wine list is medium to expensive but expansive. Great service.
Great restaurant in the middle of downtown Jackson Hole! Food was excellent, the wine list impressive, and the ambiance is warm and contemporary. Our waiter was very efficient but not particularly friendly or interested in having to engage in conversation with yet another tourist...oh well.
Always great, never miss it when I'm in town. Probably my 10th time in and never anything but perfect.
When at dinner, my Mother asked for the cheapest glass of wine. When asked what she drinks, she responded by saying merlot but any type of wine would be ok as long as it wasn't too expensive. Bryan said he had a merlot and decided to bring her the second most expensive wine btg they had ($20).. Ok, that's not ideal, but when we asked Bryan about it, he was completely rude and made my Mom feel she was in the wrong for being upset. Not cool Bryan.. Besides that, everyone enjoyed the food and had a good time.
Always great. A favorite for all occasions.
In Jackson and choose this as it was walkable from our hotel. Beautiful restaurant. Generous portions. Efficient service. Nice to get away from Western themes for a couple hours.
Went to work the next day and told EVERYONE, they have to go here. The food is outstanding, price is great for our area and the service is the best! It is nice to see the same faces in the fall as in the spring. I was also very pleased that my reservation was honored over the walk in folks that had been waiting. It is a great dining experience and we always book our table for our family birthday dinner.
$81 bill, including tip for 1 glass pino Grigio, 1 local beer, chicken parm entree, and egg plant entree. Why is everything in Jackson so damn expensive. No more.
Had a very good dinner here. Service was very good. Had the scampi which was a good light dinner. Excellent wine list at reasonable prices. Would certainly recommend this restaurant.
Loved it! Would go again when next in Jackson.
It seemed all they wanted to do was turn their table as soon as possible. I ordered a grilled veal chop with Marsala sauce. The chop was fine but swam in sauce. The vegetables were a la carte, no plating. I ordered sugar snap peas as my choice. They arrived quickly, but swimming in a 1/4 inch of butter and were so salted I could not eat them. We did not stay for dessert.
We had dined here before, when they were a new to the Jackson dining scene and had a truly memorable meal- very good. That's why we returned. Regrettably, we will not return.
I have never given a negative review on Open Table, but this time felt obligated.
small venue. very good food. lots of energy. several tables either outside or beside wide open doors that gave the feeling of outside. service was the only thing that was slightly off but it wasn't bad. it was a busy night
A bit louder than expected, but food and service very good. Veal was tender, although a bit over cooked for medium rare. Rigatoni was very good. Good wine list. Seats a bit uncomfortable. Altogether good, not great.
Overall we truly enjoyed our dinner - the only down side was the tight the seating. We brought another couple with us......but we talked with the table beside and behind us just as much....meaning we all felt like we were sitting together. Even with the tight seating, we enjoyed our meal and ALL the conversations.
Nice restaurant, good menu...just did not live up to the hype.
Nice food with excellent wine selection. The bread was outstanding. Overpriced but par for the course in Jackson.
Likely the fanciest, casual place in Jackson. Dress up or come as you are as we felt so welcome!
Beautiful drink menu-quite unique and a wine list to die for.
We started with the smoked trout bruschetta, we felt a must order item and it was a smooth texture and delicious!
Orchechetta (sp) Pasta was outstanding, big portion and super delicious. Their garlic bread was great. I wished I had the recipe. We are now a thousand miles away, back at home but I can still savor this restaurant in my mind!! ❤️
P S Did I say outstanding service!! It was!!
Italian dishes were average , halibut was over cooked and dry. Good location and wine list. A bit pricey for what was presented.
Delicious dinner. The homemade pasta is amazing! One of my favorite restaurants.
Great overpriced food & wine
A few years ago when Orsetto first opened in Jackson, they strived to serve real Italian food. Two dishes were highlights on the menu, Cacio e Pepe and Vitello Tonnato. Fast forward a few years, and these dishes are no longer served and Orsetto has become a place to get Chicken Parm with a side of spaghetti in red sauce.
Great food, great service, great wine selection and cocktails are strong...LOVE this place.
The food, service and ambiance was great. Would definitely recommend and also go there again!!
Outstanding food. Nice atmosphere and a creative chef.
Good food, nice atmosphere, kind of pricey - $6.00 for a single meatball, $12.00 for a glass of ok wine. Service is friendly and attentive.
Fantastic all the way around. Great selection for a table of varied tastes.
