Food and service always very good salads onion soup my favs
Great upper east side neighborhood French!
Wonderful service. Great outdoor setup with heaters but still enough open air. Food is very good, but menu seems to be getting a bit more limited(less salads available at lunch)
great roast chicken, mushroom soup no cream and good service
Two days in a row of good food, good service, comfortable setting.
The outside setup was comfortable with good heat lamps. Food delicious as always and great wines by the glass. Look forward to them expanding their menu when they can.
Could use more outdoor heating
They did an excellent job preparing and serving our 20th anniversary lunch outdoors, while protecting us with partitions and ensuring our comfort.
I've been going to Orsay for nearly 20 years and it's never disappointed. Best martini in NYC.
Not good outdoors dining experience extremely cold!!!! Not going back😩
We’re disappointed that both the chicken and duck salads are no longer available.
Delicious food and good service. For COVID they have a good outdoor setup next to the restaurant and on the street. Menu has been modified but still contains excellent classics such as beef bourguignon, steak au poivre, and roasted chicken. And for dessert they offer my favorite, floating island.
This place is a fine dining establishment so your meal will be on the pricey side, but I think it is well worth it.
Best outdoor dining on the Upper East Side. Food is amazing, service is excellent and you can sit on their terrace which is open and airy.
Not much to say except I will go there again with my friends.
The hostess tried to seat me on a sidewalk table under a metal awning although I had over a week ago made the reservation requesting specifically the raised patio table next to a heater. Thankfully after I protested, a patio table materialized. But then, we were subjected to continuous drilling of plywood for the tent structure they were building on the sidewalk to accommodate more outdoor tables. I had to put my mask back on as I was breathing all the construction dust from this ongoing drilling. My friends were split up among those who could look past it and those who wanted to get up and leave. Ultimately we stayed and made the most out of this. While I understand that restaurants are in a hard place right now with the looming indoor shutdown this Monday and some have rushed to reinstall outdoor structures to compensate for the loss of profit, I still feel this could have been conducted at a different hour of the day or closed the restaurant for a couple of hours until the work could be completed. When we called the manager to speak to him about all this, he shrugged his shoulders nonchalantly and told us it is what it is and that this construction would go on all day all night (which I found ludicrous and disingenuous). We weren’t even offered a free bottle of wine or dessert to compensate for this horrible situation. I would never go back to this place and I won’t forget in good times who were the decent restaurants who took the health safety and comfort of their customers into account and who were the incompetent solely profit driven machines. This isn’t a time to mistreat your paying customers! I would have given 1 star but I felt bad considering food was good (although nothing stellar).
Always so pleasant..wonderful service with great food..salads always amazing. My preference
This is one of my favorite places. The food is always great. Yesterday (obviously for covid reasons) they had all doors and windows open when it was 34 degrees outside! Changed our orders quickly to two hot onion soups and had to get out of there quickly! Even with coats, gloves, etc., is was just not do-able! Brrrr!!!
Too cold! All doors open for COVID. Overcoats needed.
Great outdoor dining..food is always very good as well as excellent service
Excellent food. We were cold because we had an outside table (we requested one), and the overhead heaters weren't doing much. People at other outside tables didn't seem so cold - younger crowd?!
Bread, Salad and tuna tartare excellent
Expensive
The food is always wonderful, service excellent.
Just one comment the coffee was not hot enough.
Apart from that all perfect.
Not bad ambiance , great waiter ! Pretty place , but food was just ok... not enough choices ... soup was sweet , fish was ok, bread crust hard to bite through , table leg was unsteady and they attempted to fix it but Could not .
I expected a lot more from such an expensive restaurant ..
Dessert and tea were good !
Great service
Good distancing, heater, and air circulation outdoors
I'm a downtown girl and rarely travel to the UES but when I do this is my go-to place. Service is excellent, food delicious and all covid-19 protocols are in place. The heaters are a nice touch. The one thing to be careful of (and this is no fault of the restaurant) is if you are sitting on the Lexington side be careful of oncoming traffic. The tables are basically in the street and you can hear and feel cars whizzing by as you're eating.
We have always had such a wonderful time here and are so grateful to the kind staff for making this holiday a beautiful one for us.
My boyfriend, parents and I had a lovely Thanksgiving meal here! The food and service were wonderful. The outside setup was great and safe.
Excellent as always
Food and service was very good but we asked to sit on the balcony where a table was open and were told no; probably because we are not regulars.
Lovely (and warm) outdoor seating
Staff attentive. Moved table due to small child. Staff very courteous...
Ate outdoors. Table nice and food was good.
Outdoor dining set up well.
Best bloody marys. Awesome tuna tartar. And Best eggs benedict in town
I eaten on outside on the porch several times. Excellent and friendly service, good food - definitely a go to neighborhood place to dine
It was a very chilly day and raining so we asked to sit inside. We had to keep our coats on through lunch!
The duck salad Is delicious.
Orsay has some of the most authentic French cuisine in NYC. I had a lovely salad, a delicious wild halibut, and decadent chocolate lava cake for dessert. The servers treated me very well, even though I'm not one of their UES regulars. A great place to go for the ultimate NYC French restaurant experience.
Perfect French bistro with delicious food, great wine and outstanding service!
Food was fabulous! The service and wine was perfect!
