Had a fantastic time, but outdoor seating could use a few more heat lamps as it got quite chilly even though only in the 40's outside. Otherwise food and service were excellent!
It was nice to be back at this brasserie. The ambience is definitely Parisian which is nice in these days of restricted travel. The service is excellent. The servers have the right balance of friendliness and discretion. I enjoyed my eggs norwegian and truly loved the poached artichoke. I haven't had a whole artichoke in a while. The balsamic vinaigrette was very tasty. The artichoke had been expertly prepared (tender, no hint of choke). Overall a good Sunday brunch experience. Great french comfort food.
There was some type of party that took over the bar area with nobody wearing masks and crowding over people like us that were seated at tables adjacent to the bar. We didn’t get bread or our order taken for over 45 minutes and couldn’t hear each other speak (due to large group of people). Food was not spectacular, which it what should be expected for the price.
We were VERY disappointed about our nite with friends there. It was noisy with the tiled floors n we had to flag with waitstaffs for ordering everything. On top of that, besides missing utensils of every dishes that they served, they completely forgot one entry without apologizing n coming to check if everything was alright?! With the price that they charged, they really should do better than that!
Except for the food which was fine, in decades of dining here and abroad, I have never been so rudely treated in a
restaurant-without any cause on my part. With only two waiters to serve a packed restaurant, their grumpiness.was
perhaps understandable, but there was no excuse for the
maitre’d: hostile, insensitive and absolutely neglectful.
I do not intend to return to subject myself to such unwarranted conduct.
The food was OK with one exception: The Escargots were TERRIBLE !
Wrong spice combination and WAY TOO MUCH GARLIC.
Offensive ! The chef would have been thrown out of the kitchen in Paris!
You better fix this problem!
57 dollars for a small thin burnt steak. Horrible
Delicious food, great service. A friendly place to enjoy lunch
We were outside and that helped because the noise level inside was very high
One of the people in our party had mussels. Half of them weren’t open. The waitress sent over the manager who offered her a small sharp knife - ??? Is that service?
Orsay is ever-reliable. Solid bistro offerings and very attentive waiters. Perfect for quick oysters and Sancerre or a homey roast chicken or boeuf bourguignon. The aroma of the steak frites at a neighboring table made me a little envious and doubt my order - but my chicken arrived and iit was perfection. Just means I'll have steak next time. See you soon!
Orsay is our go to place. Comfortable and classy with wonderful food. Like being on the Left Bank.
Wonderful atmosphere and service. Great food. The only issue was that the temperature inside ( we were at a table by the windows) was a little cold.
Food is very mediocre. And overpriced. Service was good though but not excellent. And the best feature is the ambiance, it’s so Paris
Very good excellent food
We booked for Thanksgiving and it was the best! Met every expectation.
Thanksgiving was wonderful, great service!!
What an amazing Thanksgiving dinner experience and our first ever in a restaurant! A wonderful French touch on the traditional classics - from Soup to Chocolate Mouse! Cocktails and wine were delicious and the staff super friendly. I may never cook again. :-)
Considered our needs nicely and were seated at an appropriate table. The service was fair but take into consideration the lack of ample staffing at this time. Food was fair.
The food was high quality & the service was excellent. The staff was very welcoming & attentive.
We ate here for Thanksgiving and it was wonderful.
The Prix fixe was not good
Off the menu has been good in the past
WOW! We absolutely loved Orsay! Everything was perfect. From the Art Deco decor to the professionalism of the staff, to the exquisite meal, to our friendly server who made us feel right at home, we were certainly impressed. Even the price point was spot on! We are very much looking forward to returning many many times! Thank you Orsay for helping to make out Thanksgiving celebration one to remember!
Rude service from manager on down. Misleading and unannounced Thanksgiving price fix only for $80! Sat for 20 minutes without human contact during "staff meeting" notwithstanding arriving at reservation time. Manager was rude and completely nonconiliatory. Could not have been treated worse. I have eaten here many times in past 20-plus years and will not be back any time soon.
Lovely place and yummy food!
Still a classic bistro, with dishes prepared just as you'd expect.
not my first time however always for lunch. I would like to experience the vibe at dinner
We must have caught the Maitre d' on a bad night. He was outright rude when we requested a table other than the first one offered because we thought it was too close to other diners. A waiter stepped in, smoothed it over and we went on to have lovely dinner. The tomato fennel soup was delicious, our entrees perfectly prepared and the wonderful dessert -- a cream puff pastry with vanilla ice cream rather than whipped cream and a drizzle of chocolate sauce was a perfect ending.
We'll be back with a hope that the night starts off a little better
Beautiful restaurant, great food. We will be back!
Have eaten here many times over the years. Very consistent. 'Good food.
Lovely as always!
Excellent and authentic French cuisine. Attentive staff at all levels.
Terrible service. Waiter was training/talking to another member of staff and totally forgot about us. Food took forever. There is enough staff, just badly managed and overpriced. Disappointing experience.
Lovely lunch with a friend and, as always, this French Restaurant has superb service, all around.
The steamed artichoke appetizer with a balsamic vinaigrette was super to share, and I’ve always loved oysters, while the garginelli pasta was enjoyed by my guest. Do try the chocolate mousse yo share! Light and full of rich flavor.
Love the restaurant.
Very noisy. The service was indifferent and unsatisfactory. The diners did not receive the entrees at the same time. The serving staff needed to be reminded. The prices are unjustifiably much higher than previously experienced.
