Nice French bistro that makes you think you might be in the first arrondissement, at least until the waiter arrives and starts speaking in English. Solid French fair, good service, splendid setting.
The waitress was not great, did not take the time to explain the menu or deal with questions in a helpful manner.
The runners were attentive but overall the service was subpar
I went to Orsay with my granddaughter (college student). My food was great, burrata appetizer and sea bass. She thought her onion soup was excellent, but her steak, though cooked medium rare as requested, was somewhat dry and nothing special. A 55 dollar steak should be better than dry and nothing special. The service was attentive, friendly and professional. The portions were generous.
Saturday night, restaurant was busy. Initial greeting was fine.
As the time went by, service was
Wait staff were very friendly, and the food was delicious
Beautiful French gem! Amazing terrace. Very attentive staff and host. Perfect place for a scrumptious light lunch and Sancerre!
C’est super, comme d’habitude !
Food was very good…tuna tartare was excellent. Wine was just okay. A little noisy and a bit over priced but would recommend.
We picked Orsay as it was close to an afternoon appointment. I had never been there before. It was delightful. The service was attentive; the food good and the pricing reasonable
Farewell and appreciation dinner
The food was just what you would expect from a bistro. The wine list is fair. Nothing under $60. They did a nice job splitting the steak for two at my table. I loved my moules frites.
We love Orsay!
Excellent taste .
I feel just like in Paris.
Manager Claudio is top!!
Flute Champagne bar
The dinner was wonderful-tuna tartare, delicious pasta, superb hamburgers and excellent wine-and lovely Peach Melba. And the service could nor have been better.
Jammed, hot, noisy. Service was slow. Food was good.
Not the brasserie it once was. Limited menu, not well executed; dreadfully inattentive service.
A lovely late lunch. The steak au poivre was excellent as was the cold corn soup to start.
Tablecloth on our first table was dirty when we were seated, so we asked to move and the waiter accusingly said “how did this happen?” Not a great beginning. Second table was unsteady and rocked so hard we spilled our drinks when trying to cut our steaks. The third time we asked, someone did help balance the table.
Most concerning was our waiter telling another waiter he felt sick, but had to come to work. In this age of Covid!!!!! Inexcusable
I don’t think we will be returning.
Hoping the waiter was not sick, as he said he was. A very concerning experience.
Orsay never fails to impress me. Tried the poached salmon and it was heavenly!
With a full house, the service was spot on !
Our waiter was slow and distracted. My steak was very tough and I sent it it back. Graciously, they took it off the bill.
This restaurant used to be one of my favorites but last night, it was way too noisy, uninteresting food and barely passable service. A huge disappointment.
C’est super !
Love upper east side dining spot. Food was very good. An Escape to Paris bistro in NYC
It is our perfect neighborhood 'Club'..always welcoming and delicious...
Very nice authentic French brasserie near Museum Mile makes for a great lunch spot before enjoying the arts!
Great snails and moules frites. Accommodating and cheerful wait staff. Décor of a Paris brasserie. A long-time favorite.
Really good and friendly service the food was delicious.. and well presented. Nice atmosphere and a pretty restaurant I highly recommended it
Lovely place, nice staff, really good food. Love it.
Wonderful place, great menu, very helpful staff. It’s always a pleasure to go back
I’ve been here many times and this was honestly disappointing. The only good part of the night was our waiter. He was charming.
A "favorite " of mine. Consistently good food , service and cordiality. Real neighborhood ,(upscale) gem.
Still prefer to be spread out more in the restaurant versus squished together.
Delicious Great service and wonderful atmosphere.
Definitely will return
Lovely French onion soup. Floating island was divine
This is an elegant setting, with terrific food and excellent service. A real favorite.
Overall very good experience!
Food and beverages were exceptional.
Menu items were priced too high.
A wonderful classic French bistro. Great food!!! A bit pricey but worth it. The staff was extremely professional. Will return.
Great food, service was slower than usual. Please add the prime rib back into the menu on Wed nights (or every night!).
Always a great time at Orsay. Great food, service and atmosphere. Our neighborhood favorite.
They ran out of creme brule, otherwise it was a delightful lunch experience.
