Orsa & Winston
Went for a bday celebration and our expectations were far exceeded. The food and service were incredible. They were delightfully accommodating of my dietary restrictions and couldn't have asked for a better meal. The place is beautiful and was overall a beautiful night. Highly recommend!!
L.A. prices, so not necessarily overpriced in relation to other local restaurants but the tasting menu alone isn’t a lot of food without additional a la carte items. Very interesting and offbeat natural wine selection with some real gems.
One of the reasons that LA is the culinary capitol for the US!
Delicious food, wonderful ambiance
Fantastic choices in the tasting menu with wonderful wine pairings. Thank you so much for an excellent dining experience!
It is delicious food and strongly recommend.
The tasting menu is the best buy in LA since Spring closed. The snack of rice spagghetini was a wonderful extra. Wines are affordable. Service was courteous and informative.
Very bad service we felt very not welcomed
One of the best meals I’ve ever had. The food & service are magical. If you’re not in the mood for the 5-course menu, they also offer a new snacks & small plates menu that’s a la carte, and it’s phenomenal!! I’m already dreaming about going back.
The quality and taste of food kept us there - service and time to get food out was beyond belief . I have to think that this was a one off else this restaurant can’t survive. The multi grain pancake was the best pancake I have ever had. All the dishes were good but they have to improve service and timing to get food out.
Came here for the first time and tried the Tasting menu. EVERYTHING was great. We received a complimentary snack from the chef, it took me a couple bites to figure out the flavors but it grew on me with every bite. The service was attentive and timely. Will definitely be coming back again when the menu changes. The scallop pine nut dish was my favorite. Definitely a must try.
Great！Love the seafood congee there- a perfect mix of Japanese style seafood，Asian concept of congee and a surprisingly mingle of Italian seasoning. Only down：the Scouffle does not taste as good as the one in Souffles in koreatown，a bit hard here
Exciting Snacks Menu. Good variety of small plates and preparations. Eastern European wine flight was a fun and different offering. Coursing could have been paced a bit better. Acoustics a bit too loud for a “fine dining” establishment. Overall a good experience.
Tatiana, our server was so nice and attentive. Food was amazing per usual.
This restaurant never fails to deliver an excellent meal coupled with excellent service. The menu is constantly changing and always interesting. Though not inexpensive, the quality of food is superior to most other restaurants in Los Angeles that are priced considerably higher. Always appreciate the pairings of wine with the meals.
super solid and thoughtful tasting menu at a relatively affordable price. for fans of unique flavor combos they may have not tried before, top tier service without being stuffy, and a great neighborhood spot to grab a solo seat at the bar to watch the show, eat some snacks, and maybe strike up a chat with one of the line cooks and get a few extra nibbles on the side.
Tasting menu plus snacks were ordered. Was very slow start with about 1.5 hour from first snack to first course. We let our server know and service sped up but was there for about three hours starting with an 8:30 reservation time. Was very delicious though and will go back.
Th flavors, variety, and presentation of the food were all spectacular. We also appreciated the pace at which the courses were delivered to our tables as well as the extras such as the panacotta and rolls.
Beautiful set course meal from start to finish. Especially loved the hamachi crudo! The boyfriend’s favorite was the rice porridge. The restaurant was smaller than expected so it felt a lot more personable and intimate. Even though this was fine dining, it wasn’t stuffy or pretentious and I really appreciated that. The waitstaff was also excellent and attentive and definitely made my boyfriend’s birthday feel extra special.
This used to be one of our favorites, but no longer. We attended a Valentine’s set menu dinner, which was fine as the menu is always preset. They were accommodating with my food allergies, so that was kind. But the menu was too heavily Japanese. For a Japanese-Italian fusion restaurant, probably 4 of 5 dishes were Japanese-heavy. There was no balance and too much umami with each dish. It was boring and not what we used to love about O&W. So because of that, it wasn’t good value for the money. We could’ve spent that kind of money at Le Comptoir or Chi Spacca and enjoyed ourselves so much more.
Severely over priced. Service was as you’d expect. For the most part, the food was good. But not nearly worth what they were charging.
The tasting menu is always a treat. Service impeccable. Had the pairings and the info and diversity of the wines was spectacular.
Service was impeccable. The food was a fun surprise as every dish came out. I would definitely go again. ⭐️
Great 5 course (+2) menu. We also had an add on from their brand new a la carte menu. Wine pairings were great, and food was absolutely delicious. Service was great as well, never felt like we waited for anything we needed, and a minor food allergy was taken care of no problem.
My fave brunch in LA. Service is excellent, and the food is brunch at the next level. I always look forward to coming here.
The soft scrambled eggs with truffles were outstanding. Other dishes on the brunch menu were more Japanese and compared to typical Japanese restaurants what we had was mediocre. I didn't see much Italian influence on the brunch menu.
The decor was too plain for my taste. Chairs are uncomfortable.
Loved the food and service.
Some of the courses could of had larger portions but still amazing overall .Glad I finally got to try this place.I love baco marcat and have only been to bar ama for happy hr but will return for dinner sometime.
The yellowtail vinaigrette was out of this world. The Donabe ingredients were outstanding and thoughtfully prepared. The overall was ok, not outstanding. It is worth the time and money to go to this place. Service was excellent, we went midday and parking on the street was easy. And yes, I would go back and try different dishes. Definitely a place with good culinary skill.
We had such a wonderful experience at Orsa & Winston! They change the menu daily, which keeps things fresh and exciting. We got to watch chef Josef Centeno work his magic in the open kitchen area too, making it extra special. The food was incredible and the service was great. We each got a panna cotta on top of the dessert included with our meal, on the house! The food was so unique and beautifully presented. Every dish was so well balanced. I never wanted it to end!
My favorite dish of the night was the squash agnolotti with brown butter. It was hands down, the best thing I've ever eaten in my entire life and I don't even like squash. My boyfriend even said he could eat it for breakfast, lunch and dinner and never get tired of it. My only complaint is that we wish there was more!! hahah.
Truly an amazing experience from start to finish.
Wonderful food and service. I brought my mom during DineLA and she was so bowled over she was texting me for days saying that it was the best meal she’d ever had. As for me: if not my favorite meal, it’s up there in my top five. Superb all around.
Bravo! All the stars!
Lovely staff and delicious food.
We went for the DineLA menu. We were completely happy with the spectacular food, the great service, and the spot-on wine pairing from a friendly sommelier. The Chef even gave us three complimentary items! That was our first time dining there and it won't be our last. We look forward to returning and trying out other items on their regular menu.
A great spot for a date. The food is delicious, and the service was superb. Highly recommend!
Came into Orsa & Winston for Dine LA! The food was amazing. I was highly skeptical that Japanese and French Cuisine could blend together that well, but every dish was both creative and delicious. I am excited to come back in the future and try out the full 6 course menu.
All of the stuff we ordered were great! They even added in two dishes that were compliments from the chef. Went there for in January for DineLA and everything was pretty dang good!
Came here for first time during DineLA week. There is no signage outside, so need to know the address! Excellent ice tea which set the stage for a good experience. Enjoyed the smoked fish and the warm matcha rice pudding. Will come again to try other items on the menu.
A couple of my friends and I went in for the DineIn LA, and we absolutely loved their food!
Excellent service and every dish we had was delicious. We went for the DineLA menu and added the Steak tartar and the wine tasting. It was all wonderful and we got coffee at the end of the meal and even that was really good. I'd eat there every week if I could.
Extremely expensive for a 6 course menu. Paid probably $280 for a tiny bit of food and neither me or my gf were full at all.
Foods good but legitimately not worth it
