Welcome to OROSOKO Sound Bar, a South End restaurant and cocktail lounge featuring a unique East vs. West menu, exquisite sound, comfortable acoustics and a team of gracious hosts, passionate in delivering inspired hospitality. This cocktail, or “listening”, lounge offers a unique setting to enjoy craft cocktails and relaxed fine dining from renowned Chef Jay Pound, while immersed in the curated sounds of a skilled DJ on our world-class audio system. There simply is nothing like it.

Indulge in our beautifully crafted signature cocktails, while savoring Asian and Latin inspired tapas-style shareables in a natural environment that exudes sophistication, comfort and luxury. At Orosoko, we pride ourselves on delivering a first-class, welcoming atmosphere that is stylish, but never pretentious.

**We are currently operating under our Summer Hours schedule and will be closed on Mon/Tue until Labor Day, 9/1/25. Open Wed-Sat, starting at 6:00pm, and on Sundays for brunch 12-4pm.**

We were really looking forward to dining here for a special celebration—a 25th birthday—and unfortunately, the experience didn’t live up to expectations. We arrived 10 minutes early for our 8 PM reservation and were seated promptly, which was appreciated. However, it took nearly 15 minutes just to receive water, and even then, the hostess didn’t greet us—she simply dropped off the glasses and poured the water without a word. Another 10–15 minutes passed before anyone came by to check on us. A server finally approached and asked, verbatim, “Do you guys have a server?” After we told him no, he replied, “Great, I guess I’ll be your server.” At this point, we had already been sitting for close to 30–40 minutes, despite making eye contact with multiple staff members who never acknowledged us. We ordered a round of drinks, but were surprised that the bartender wouldn’t allow a simple substitution (tequila instead of vodka), which felt unnecessarily rigid. The drinks themselves were well made, but it took over 30 minutes before we had the chance to even order a second round—largely because our server was more focused on dancing through the restaurant than checking on our table. Most disappointing of all, no one ever asked if we’d like to place a food order. Even after we mentioned after our second round of drinks that we might want to order something, our server never came back—except to ask if we were ready to close out. What stung the most is that we had included in our reservation that we were celebrating a birthday, and it was completely ignored. No acknowledgment, no gesture—nothing. We were excited to support a newer, niche spot, but unfortunately, the lack of attentiveness and professionalism made it an experience we won’t be repeating. First impressions matter, and sadly, this one missed the mark.

Second time coming here and the service was terrible every time. Ordered a drink and it never came. Waitress never came back to see if we wanted anything else and only filled our water once. Last time she didn’t bring my drink for about an hour. Very weird.

First time going to Orosoko and it didn’t disappoint. The food, music, cocktails, and service were all great! We will definitely be back!

Wonderful soft lit space. It’s 3rd or 4th or married date night territory where you feel comfortable getting up from the chair across from your companion and same side sitting on the bench (if it’s not too full) to lean into each others ear as the DJ transitions from one song to the next. A little too loud for a first date for all the conversation required. Thursday night was a shuffle of 70s and mid 80s grooves, energy but not so much you felt compelled to bounce in your seat. $10 for a single mushroom taco is unfortunate. It was tasty, the spicing of the batter paired well with the dill crema. The okonomiyaki is great shareable value. Great service, attentive & knowledgeable, but not hovering. All our questions about dairy free items were answered, and our mocktails were great. After we had our food, we could bliss out and enjoy the DJ. A little hard wave and we got our check. An excellent night, would come back again on a weekday for downtempo electronica.

Food was ok. For the price I would imagine better flavor. The hostess very rude because if a miscommunication between her and the manager for our reservation. The 2 hour limit table is ridiculous. What is this? It’s a decent place but not worth the price for a 2 hr pressure since you sit down.

The only negative is I had reservations set for 10pm but didn’t get seated til about 30-35 mins after from my reserved time. Overall, great experience and great ambience!
