Initial service was pretty good but declined over the course of the meal. My entree was undercooked, I was unable to order a glass of wine until my entree was half gone and it was almost completely gone when the wine finally arrived. I was offered a free desert as compensation which I declined.
Layout of the space seems inefficient and results in considerable foot traffic by wait staff and hostesses past diners.
Disappointing experience, unlikely to return.
Our server was excellent. I think her name is Angela.
Excellent little Italian restaurant. Authentic, cheap, and good portions
Awesome food, great service, love this restaurant!!
The food and service was amazing. I would recommend to anyone. We will definitely be back.
Great little gem of a restaurant. Excellent food and service at a very reasonable price. Everything always tastes fresh and not doused in heavy sauces or seasonings.
This is not only a delicious dinner restaurant, but with their offerings you could just as easily just share a starter and enjoy a drink with a friend. Or go for desert and barista coffee. It’s nice that they have daily as well as monthly specials too! Would not hesitate to recommend.
Food was fabulous, as always. Our waiter, Lucas, was great, too. Orofino never disappoints!
awesome as always! my wife and i favorite restaurant! even went back the next day for more! ❤️❤️ this place!
I went here with 2 friends while on a guys week. We had an excellent reasonable priced meal. Mario took good care of us. I wish I lived closer to this restaurant.
legitimately, orofino is my favorite restaurant. they just finished renovations, so RIP to the gelato counter, but now it’s a bar so hell yeah, kind of an upgrade. good food at a fair price for the quality you’re getting, which is ALWAYS top notch.
The food was amazing.
The food is consistently good. Staff is attentive and we can sit in the courtyard with our dog!
They seemed to be off that day - have been there several times before and everything was amazing. This time the entree was very good but the salad was not nearly as good as it has been in the past. The waitress seldom came by - she was busy but she also spent a lot of time chatting with some of the other clients instead of checking back with the other tables. Hope this is not a trend - it has been much better in the past.
As always, the food was excellent. I tried the gnocchi with tomato sauce for the first time and it was a winner! Of course, I love their pizza and their meat sauce is my favorite!
My husband and I enjoyed our dinner last Saturday night. It was delicious!
The food and the staff was excellent.
The combination of great food and terrific service make this the perfect “Little Italian Restaurant”.
We had a terrific dinner consisting of several courses and the wait staff was very attentive. Pork chop with wild mushrooms was incredible. We had an outside table and were very happy to get it since we made our reservation fairly late.
Dinner party with a group of 8. Service was outstanding and everyone's food was excellent. Great overall experience.
We are visiting Fredericksburg and our host family suggested a relaxing dinner evening at Orofino Restaurant. The meal, service and Chianti wine with our dinner were all great. This is a fine restaurant.
Great Food Great atmosphere. Samm is an awesome waitress.. makes dining fun.
Great service from Ashton!
Everything was outstanding! Wine was the best🍷🍷🍷
Food was delicious. Just like previous visits. The only complaint and it's a very small complaint was the sun coming through the window was right in my eyes and they couldn't move us to another table.
We were passing through Fredericksburg and were looking for somewhere to have a nice meal. We found Orofino on the web. We were both very pleasantly surprised. The service was excellent and both of our meals (selected from the specials menu) were outstanding. The prices were also very reasonable. Overall, a very nice evening.
It was our first time there and Julia made our experience amazing. The food was great and the service was excellent. We will definitely be back!
Excellent and very authentic Italian food. Our waitress was extremely helpful in picking out the best wine. She was always right there when we needed something. The restaurant is owned and operated by an Italian family, you can hear them speaking Italian to each other when he go into the dining room. Overall a wonderful experience and highly recommend if you visit Fredericksburg
This was our fourth or fifth time at Orofino. First time for the pizza from the new oven - it is very good and we are picky about pizza. The waiter, Luca, was fabulous. Very helpful, lots of suggestions.
Birthday. Lemon cake with candle. Nothing more needed.
Friendly staff and wonderful food. We can't wait to go again.
We were here for our anniversary. Our waiter didn’t even ask if we wanted coffee or dessert or anything else. We had to ask for coffee and then before we were done, he put the check on the table when we had wanted to order a pizza to go for our kids.
The food was incredible, but it was the worst service we’ve ever had here.
Our waiter, Victor, was super. He was very attentive from the beginning and checked with us regularly (even if just to walk by to see if we needed any attention -- no need to speak words to disturb our conversations. The food was fantastic and a great value. Really enjoyed out lunch.
If you like Italian food and in great old town setting, there is none better than Orifino's. We have been enough to know its not a "one off" and all in our groups have enjoyed each and every time
Great food in a great atmosphere. Watched the host walk out in pouring rain for a customer craving some gelato. Where else do you see that level of dedication to customer service?
The Burrata appetizer was amazing! Large meals! Would be great to share between two.
Go for the food, but wear NASCAR ear plugs or better if dining inside. Really. The food is amazing and this restaurant is tops in Italian in the Burg. But there is zero ambience. The inadequacy of the sound dampening in the small spaces indoors makes you want to run away before your food has ever arrived. Two in our party turned their hearing aids down, finally took them out and were still miserable. Forget having a conversation at your table unless you can read lips. For God’s sake don’t add to the din by screaming at each other, as everyone around us seemed to be doing. This is an antique property, and noise remediation is difficult, but sadly until they fix the problem we will not go back unless the weather is mild and we can eat outside. Please go for the excellent food especially if you can order take-out and eat in the peace of your own home. You have been warned. I have never done a negative review for an Opentable restaurant before. Makes me sad to do so now.
Tried the local specials. they were all good, nice setting.
