Have been here many times for the excellent lunch items and the Pour Over Coffee prepped by Head Barista / Head Pastry Chef Remi Ho.
First time for the Afternoon Tea and will definitely come again . The sweet and savoury offerings really are Top Notch and the selection of tea also is. The service is $45 per person and is really quite reasonable for the quality . Staff is also friendly and attentive with special Kudos to Karen and Remi✌️👌.
All in all an excellent Afternoon Tea in a very Nice room.
I came here for Afternoon Tea and really enjoyed my experience! The service was warm and attentive, and the food was delicious. Their dessert offerings, in particular, are better than most high tea places I've been to. I got the oolong tea, and I liked how flavourful it was, even after a few pots. Definitely recommend this place for an amazing high tea experience!
i enjoyed my meal but have a few personal opinion about the food.
1. The oysters, i wish the pearls had more pop and tartness to it. Felt a little chewy and was hoping for a pop of citrus from it.
2.Boeuf tartar, i couldn't taste/crunch of the cornichon. It would have helped balance the dish more with more acidity.
3. The pomme frites were interesting, i felt if the inside was fluffier it would've gone much better with the clams and mussels. The insides were a bit waxy and soft for the dish.
The bar tender was super helpful and nice, i will totally come back just for the drinks.
Four of us walked in for lunch and it was very lovely. We were spoiled by the selection of their pastry and desserts you can pick from the display case. We will come back for dinner soon.
Great dinner experience. Fantastic wine selection and friendly service. Highly recommend this place for a date night.
The food was delicious, the service was perfect. I will come next time soon. Thank you.
Fabulous new restaurant in Richmond!
The entrees were outstanding!
Can’t wait to return!
What a treat! A true designation for foodies. The scallops and the duck were amazing. The sommelier recommeded a very special bottle of natural wine from Burgundy. Wow, it was soo good.
Overall it was an enjoyable experience. We were attracted by the liquor & coffee bar in the background. Drinks were very good non-alcoholic/cocktail/coffee. The menu was clean & simple and had the items I wanted at a French restaurant. Although overall the dishes were good but I still had better elsewhere (escargot, beef tartare, foie gras) especially the duck was a tad underwhelming tho the black rice made the dish interesting. Each dish can benefit at bit of tweaking.
Our server was knowledgeable and passionate, gave good recommendations and she made our dinning experience 5 stars!
It was busy when we came in for lunch but we had an excellent experience. My steak was done perfectly and the service was very attentive and friendly. I will try the dinner soon.
We were looking forward to trying out this unique Afternoon tea service. Good food, but everything was 2 bites or less. Service was spotty, considering there was plenty of staff and a nearly empty restaurant. I had to wave down the server to replenish the tea. We had a party of 3 and they decided it wasn’t worth their time to try and put all the food onto tea stands, or spend the time washing 2 tea stands. Our third person had their goodies spread over 2 plates (not very appealing) and he was also missing a savory. We told the server and they brought back 2 items to make up for it.
Eventho we went during afternoon tea time every one has to order one set of afternoon tea. However the server accommodate our special dietary restrictions. Service was excellent.
Great service !
I had tried the dinner before, food was great. This time I’m trying the afternoon tea set, which disappointed me a little. The savoury items are very limited, and the choices of tea are also very limited.
a gem in richmond. staff was very attentive and needless to say, the food was amazing.
It was way too noisy with DJ on site. We can’t really chat as they were blasting clubbing music at 2pm. Maybe try to play something softer if they decided to have DJ again.
Cozy modern french restaurant. The wine list and coffee program is the best in town.
Despite the table is a bit too closed each other. The high tea
Lovely space with delicious food and very impressive wine list. Love the scallops and the sablefish. I would love to try their afternoon tea soon.
Really cozy dining experience. Service was warm and attentive. The sommelier was very knowledgeable with food and wine pairings. The Pappardelle with black truffle was to die for!
Needs more development if aspiring to be a higher end french restaurant. Cooking did not match prices. Some items delicious, others below par. Courses should be served to all diners at same time. Table clearing too casual. Some staff not knowledgable.
The food, service, and drinks were great. I can't wait to go back
The staff were very friendly and accommodating. As one person in our party is very allergic to fish they made every effort to ensure that nothing would touch her portion. They were attentive but didn't intrude on our space . A place to hang my coat would have been appreciated as it kept ending up on the floor.
Great experience. Would definitely go back. Nice to have a French themed restaurant open for lunch in Richmond.
Not true French food. Musselsand claims taste more Indian/Chinese fusion, spices were wrong. For $$ expect table cloth and better service.
Food was very tasty but the portion is slightly small. Value for money is not too good but the food presentation and taste was top notch!
Food was excellent - definitely going back. the portion sizes are good - not to big, not to small. Very fresh ingredients. can definitely share one dish depending on what you get, or share a few if you want to try a few things on the menu. Service was really great -- friendly, interactive staff, knowledgable - timing of service - great. Food came out in a timely manner. Coffee and drinks and wine are a bit on the pricey side.
I want to try everything on the menu and the dessert was really good.
Tried high tea here for the first time since they offered it on their menu. Must say, was worth the drive! Very nice atmosphere and the layout and design is very modernized. Nice wine cellar display and the coffee/pastry bar was nice! We made reservations a couple weeks in advance for their high tea menu since it’s very popular. Worth the try! Good service as well. Will definitely come back and try the dinner menu.
When we arrived they couldn’t find our reservation and I had to show them the email confirmation I received from Open Table. Somehow they still couldn’t find our reservation. Regardless we were seated shortly.
Service was extremely slow even though the restaurant was not busy. It took a very long time before a waiter came to service us and asked us what we would like to drink.
Noise level was good especially for conducting business meeting.
Food was not bad but nothing to write home about.
Simple menu. Good Food. Good Service. But, it is expensive.
Had a wonderful meal celebrating my birthday. Was a bit disappointed that they ran out of the black truffle pasta.
Brunch selection is limited, and menu specials really aren't that special at all. We ordered a mushroom spaghetti dish that was a special feature and it tasted like spaghetti from a HK style café. For the prices they are charging, the food is really subpar. Service was good and attentive though.
We had an amazing time dining in this restaurant. The Rib-eye steak was done perfectly and the sable fish was superb! Exclusive French wine list with great selection. Definitely recommended for foodie and wine lovers.
Limited options. Meat used in sandwich was extremely salty resulting in unbalanced flavor. Although the positive of dining here is the decor is modern and chic. Attentive service to be applauded.
We started with escargot,
Followed with lamb and sable fish, both excellent.
All the dishes were of the highest quality, but modest in quantity, in that there were minimal or no sides.
The staff were excellent, and on the younger side, nice to see young people coming into service.
When we booked Origo Club we stated that one of us is vegetarian. Staffs needs to communicate with one another: when we arrived, the waitress said she forgot to pass the info to the kitchen. My friend was given a small salad instead. The atmosphere is extravagant but we were given a table by the walkway so it feels like we're in the way. For the price of the afternoon tea we expected more, the food lacked excitement and mundane. Won't recommend to anyone. We won't come back again.
Meal was very nice but small portion servings for individual, we shared multiple dishes as recommended by our server to sample their best dishes. It was good idea as French restaurant can be very expensive, however meals were very delicious and could not complain. And staff was well informed and helpful, would go again for special occasion.
I find this new gem is perfect for our business dinner. Food are delicious and wine selections are the best in town. Veery cozy and enjoyable. Will be back soon.
