Food was good and great cocktail..but overpriced and music was soooo loud!!! If we wanted to go to a nightclub we would. We wanted to sit and converse at dinner and barely could. Disappointing.

They didn’t have adequate window treatments so the sun was just shining directly in our eyes the whole time. The food was bland and there wasn’t even basic condiments offered. We had to wait forever just for salt and pepper. The music was so loud and we were there at 5 in the afternoon. Overall, just a horrible experience.

Was able to be seated right away. Ambience was really good. Server took quite a while a little bit over 10 minutes to come back to us after greeting. Food was definitely not worth the price. Order the Elote, which was $18 and it was a single cord on the cob with just cheese no mayo. Pork belly tacos were pretty dry. Best thing about the meal was the cocktails. Overall, wasn’t the worst experience but definitely could’ve been better.

This was our third time at the restaurant and most likely our last. Our first experience was exceptional and the experience has gone down significantly. This most recent experience was not the worst of the 3 but not the best. Our service was just okay, not great, not poor and was the best part of this trip with the exception of the mashed potatoes. It took around 45 minutes for our group to get our drinks from the bar. We ordered the tomahawk steak medium and received it well done. Overall, the sides, drinks (once we received them), and the dessert were good. Would I recommend Origen to a friend? No, not anymore.

Only complaint I had was when I ordered my drink they didn't get it to me. Everyone else has theirs including my guests I brought with me. My went to the same server to ask for my drink again and I waited another 15 minutes and no drink came. They shared their drinks with me up until that point. I did have water, but wanted to have a beer or tequila to taste with my tacos. My sister went to the bar tender for me while I was eating and surprised me with a drink. I went to the bar to get the remainder of the drinks the rest of the night and the guy was fantastic. The organizer and the cooks were great. The music was great and the people who sat next to us were fun too. Overall well worth what I paid for.

The golden hour taco event was another special reservation-only private event at Origen. Four different types of tacos ranging from pork shank to fillet to Barbacoa, paired with some unique tequila cocktails, and beer. What’s originally planned to hold out on their beautiful patio, but they wisely moved it inside with the 100+ temperatures this evening. There were about 30 - 35 diners at this event. Chef was behind the taco bar dishing up the meat. The bar included a number of self service adds for the tacos which included chopped tomato, onion, cilantro, and avocado. Each table had three of the amazing Origen salsas. Chef had worked with the bartender to pair a tequila cocktail and or a beer with each type of taco. I tried both and they were great. We also got a nice little lesson about Don Julio tequila with small tasting of the Blanco in 1942 tequilas . The folks at our community table were great and there was some live music contributing to the atmosphere.

This is my second time here and I loved it. Everything was wonderful. Portion sizes were great and the flavors were outstanding. I truly tasted the Mexican touch in this. I will absolutely be returning! I was there for 2 hours with a great friend of mine and we didn’t even realize that 2 hours had gone by. The music was perfect, the decor, and the cleanliness was wonderful.

Great food! Great flavors. This was our second time at Origen, different from the first time as they cut out simple items for the table like the beans, chips, warm tortillas. That said, still a great meal and great atmosphere, and we still had to take part of our dinner home!

Origen was amazing. The food, the ambience and especially the service. Myrrisa was a great host and server, the best I’ve had in a while. Highly recommend her. The food was delicious, I ordered a bit of everything, including dessert and everything was phenomenal. I will definitely be going back to try more food.
