   Everything was truly wonderful! Our server Sebastian was outstanding. His recommendations were excellent. The food was all very delicious and had a unique flare. The steak was some of the best we have ever had and the salmon was amazing. All of our drinks were exceptional as well. Sebastian was attentive, friendly, and made us feel very well taken care of. We highly recommend Origen!

   I wish I'd paid attention to the slew of negative reviews. TLDR - mediocre and overpriced food with extremely slow service. Epic fail. We were really looking forward to dining here for a special occasion, but unfortunately, the experience fell far short of expectations. Despite noting a birthday twice in our reservation and mentioning it again to the host staff upon arrival, it went entirely unacknowledged--disappointing, especially for what was meant to be a celebratory evening. Service was consistently slow throughout the night, and communication was lacking. We were told they were out of three of the four entrées we initially tried to order--not what you expect from a restaurant at this price point. When our entrees finally arrived, they brought no new silverware after clearing what we used for appetizers, so we were left sitting awkwardly until we flagged someone down. As for the food, it was underwhelming. The $58 pork mole dish in particular was barely warm and lacked depth of flavor. No one at our table asked for a to-go box. Overall, a disappointing experience with too many avoidable missteps to overlook. If you've read this far, do yourself a favor and skip this restaurant. For reference, our bill for 4 was ~$300 with only 1 cocktail and no desserts. It's clear that the owner / management either doesn't care about poor reviews or doesn't know how to correct the issues. We certainly won't be back.

   Incredible! From the moment you walk into this restaurant you are welcomed by beautiful decor and friendly staff. Every detail is meticulously laid out and thoughtful. Our waiter Sebastian was amazing. Very knowledgeable and was able to answer all of our questions effortlessly. He really made our whole experience that much better. This restaurant is on a level with the most expensive restaurants in Scottsdale. No need to travel all the way to Scottsdale when you have this little gem right here in Gilbert! I highly recommend it!

   Outstanding customer service from Tesa! The food was was absolutely delicious and the music and cocktails on point. Highly recommended!

   The ambience was nice and different. Our server was sweet. Execution of food/service help. We had menus on our table with no water and servers were being food to us for another table. Know where you are headed when you leave the kitchen! Drinks came out supper slow and our appetizer came out during our meal ( queso). Food was decent but the bill blew my mind. My daughter’s pasta was too spicy (server offered other options) and then the staff proceeded to eat her dish at the side bar where we could see them which is unprofessional. It has promise with some adjustments

   Disappointing service at what appears to be a wanna be higher end restaurant. Starting with the checkin, we really struggled to find the entrance. There isn’t any signage directing you towards the front door. We came in through the patio and were quickly told we were not in the correct place. It wasn’t just us but other customers too. When we were seated, the hostess told us our table was the one directly in front of everyone standing waiting to be seated. I asked her if we could be seated somewhere away from the patrons hovering for a table and she didn’t appear happy with that request. Mind you, we had reservations. I tried to explain why and she rudely cut me off and walked away. She sat us in this tucked away area next to the bathrooms so we had patrons walking up and down our table aisle during the 1.5 hours we were there. Felt like that was our punishment for asking to move. The server never introduced himself. He appeared to us as the water “boy”, as he said very little when he was filling our glasses with water. He left and didn’t come back for 15 or so minutes which left us wondering if we were waiting on our actual server. We had to ask another server if he was our server or if there was someone else that was helping us. It was very confusing and it took over 30 minutes to place an order. There was definitely a language barrier between us and the server. We didn’t order guacamole, but somehow we were given it. He offered it, and after realizing it didn’t come as a complimentary offering we said no. Yet somehow we ended up with it. Our server was MIA most of our visit. We asked for drink refills and it took over 15 minutes to get our empty glasses replenished (during our meal). It seemed the server was really struggling keep up with all his tables. Overall I expected better service for the prices that we paid. The atmosphere is cool, but nowhere in the restaurant does it explain why there is so much wood everywhere. No back story, nothing.

   Food was excellent. The problem was the service. I am not sure if it was due to a language barrier but she messed up every course. Ordered us two salads when we wanted 1. Brought the wrong wine. Missed two of our sides, we never received one at all. We asked for the dessert menu and she never came back. Possibly it was hard for her to hear due to the music. Sadly, she never apologized or acknowledged the mistakes.

   Our 8pm reservation turned into a 40 minute wait for our table. They were out of a couple things, service was kinda slow probably due to how busy they were but impacted the experience. Overall food, customer service and atmosphere was good. Live music on Friday and Saturday nights is a huge plus. Music was perfect as far as sound and song choice goes. I’d go back

   The night we went it was not the best service but that being said I will go back on a night that is not prom night. There were two large parties of prom goers each had at least twelve persons. It was an odd night but the food was delicious. We will go back and give it another try. Our server was great but had his hands full with those tables.

    Very different for a Mexican place. Great atmosphere. Drinks are a little pricy but there's always happy hour!
