Wonderful experience for my boyfriend's birthday! The seating behind us was beautiful but the only thing I'd say is the view from our table could've been a bit better. However, that's a very small detail. Got free ice cream and alcohol dessert. Thank you so much!
Very pleased to celebrate our anniversary at Ori Robata sushi restaurant. The food was so good and so was the service!
It was great vibe, it’s really great place to eat.
Love love love this place and JoJo is really the best!
Left much to be desired. I will start off by stating that the wait staff did their best and were very courteous.
Now the food. What a disaster. Didn't have much of a choice being that we needed a place to eat in RC to host a bunch of folks. The fish was terrible. Very clear that the fish was NOT fresh and they cover this up by overly using lemon and other cover ups to hide the lack of freshness. The cadence of feed was not thoughtful and at best, patchy. Our party was just nibbling on little bits here and there throughout the entire meal.
The rolls at least could have been made, presented and tasted good, but even something that's relatively trivial, was an utter failure.
To top off al of this, the price. Simply not worth the money. Value is not there and we all excited about the restaurant, but we came out not only underwhelmed, but very disappointed.
Do not recommend.
My wife and I went here to celebrate our wedding anniversary. This place is an absolute gem! We’ve had sushi at lots of places over the years but nothing quite like this. When you walk in you will find a great ambiance that combines a modern aesthetic, a lounge type vibe and traditional Japanese design. The bar has a great mixture of cocktails you would find at a craft bar along with traditional Sake, wine and beer options. The food was very, very impressive. It was so much more fresh and unique than your typical small sushi business. The price is slightly higher than the average sushi sit down but the quality and service is worth it. Our waiter was knowledgeable and confident with his suggestions, all of which we loved. At the end of our dinner, my wife and I agreed that THIS was the next level of Sushi dining. Well worth a try!
Amazing all around experience. I eat a lot of sushi, and the quality is far superior. Highly recommend just for that, service was also excellent.
What a great sushi place. Perfect for a nice date night. The decor is beautiful, the fish is super fresh, service is amazing and the experience is a must!
It was great management was great
We were not served our drinks to the very end of the meal. Staff did not appeared too concerned and took their time. Restaurant marked that we “missed” our reservation according to OpenTable. Pretty shady on the restaurants part.
Love the simple clean ambiance with the illuminated cherry blossom tree in the entrance.
The service was great, everyone was so nice and very accommodating.
We tried a variety of rolls and sashimi and everything was delicious! And paired well with a glass of Chardonnay.
Was a beautiful meal provided a very excellent Omakase experience
Will be back
Awesome food - the best we’ve found in California. The main chef offered us a lot of options! Highly recommended!
Excellent service. The food was quite delicate and delicious. Meanwhile, the atmosphere is high-end and luxurious. I would recommend if anyone wants to have any good Japanese high-end fine dining experience to give this place a try! Parking is easy self-parking.
I think this is our new favorite sushi place. Wonderful atmosphere, fresh and tasty food, and top notch service!
Best sushi in ie . $120 per person is worthy. No need to drive to LA.
The food too very long. They brought all our meals out at different times. The steaks came out lukewarm. It was just an overall mediocre experience. Fish didn’t taste as fresh as I previously remember.
Service was amazing
We waited for over 50 minutes to get SOME of what we ordered. They served us frozen fish and the toro was not even of great quality. There was also a spider crawling from the ceiling down to our table. Service was really unacceptable and the food quality for the price was not there. Finally after endlessly waiting, we just canceled the rest of our order. Go spend your hard earned money somewhere else because this place is not worth it. Totally unprofessional staff. The sushi chef probably needs to be fired but then again I think he’s the owner so he would really just do whatever he wants to do. Never in my life I’ve experienced such bad service and poor quality sushi. You’re better off buying those sushi rolls from your local grocery stores.
Sushi was delicious. Price is more than most sushi restaurants because it is an upscale restaurant, but the place is very nice. Good place for special occasions.
I come here very often 2-3 times a week last couple times the food has been not bad but horrible it’s not the same and the vibe is not the same like who plays 80s rock music at a sushi spot ?
Usually I love Ori, but the food was not the same high quality. I thought it would be packed on a Saturday but oddly it was not. I ordered unagi robata and was undercooked and didn't melt in my mouth like precious times neither did the DJ Spider roll. I'll just take it as they were off their game that night.
Good sushi. Good service and vibes.
Took mother in law and sister in law out for dinner. The restaurant decor and interior design were pretty and contemporary , but I was sorely disappointed by the quality of sushi, portion size in relation to steep cost of each roll, and snail paced service. The menu is priced like an L.A. sushi place but ridiculously less value. Tiny rolls, falling apart, and each roll came out 1 at a time at 20 mins or more apart . I will not be back. Only thing I enjoyed was the spicy tuna fried rice stack on the appetizers
Chairs squeaks and shaking, loud music did not fit the environment, appetizer came almost at the end of our dinner (we have to remind them). The food of the sixth person in our party did not come. We have to share our food with him. It came after we are all done eating, so awkward watching him eat by himself (and yes, we have to remind the staff of his order too). We requested extra wasabe, never came at all!!! Very poor service, not recommended.
Overall awesome experience
Good ambience,music tooooo loud
Amazing music playing amazing vibes awesome this is the NOBU of Rancho Cucamonga hell yeah
Had an awesome time! Best sushi I’ve had since the pandemic! ❤️
Great service and amazing food
Extremely overpriced. Small portions. Food quality is fine, drinks are fine, service is fine but you leave feeling much poorer and still hungry.
Price was high but food was good. Service was wak we had to ask other servers for drinks and some of the food. Will not be coming back.
Wonderful service and really interesting menu, new types of sushi rolls we'd never tried before.
too pricey for the quality and taste of food! will probably only return for the house music.
To say the service was horrible is an understatement. It took forever to get our orders and the servers were rude. Most of the rolls we ordered were good, nothing special though. Overall, over priced for the quality. Oh and parking was a nightmare.
This place was a disappointment. Service and server were industry best and honestly were outstanding. The sushi and dishes however were very disappointing. I could not tell the difference btwn the sushi rolls served and sushi rolls at Ralph’s.
I don’t mind paying high prices for a quality dinner, but all you really are paying for is the ambiance and service. Food is just really disappointing- can’t want for Ken’s to re-open!
Tried omakase on the counter for $100 each. Consists of both a variety of nigiri (8 I think) and 2 robata. Food is bit overpriced as there is little variation in the way of preparation. No surprise. Wasabi is put inside the nigiri which I don’t quite like. Waiting time for food is bit long. Waited for the sequence of nigiri for at least 30min without anything to eat.
Service was very nice. I was late for the reservation for about 30min. Still checked me in. BTW if you reserve counter seats it likely means you are there for omakase and they will call you to confirm the reservation.
Good food but portions are small and expensive. Not good for kids. They charge downtown LA prices minus the downtown LA scenery.
Got for any occasion really. Loved the design and food.
