Chris, the manager, was great. The rest was average.
Great food. The service was excellent. Good value for money.
The food was really good. Other things that I didn't like were:
We requested a booth when we made are reservation through Open Table. When we arrived, the maitre'd told us the booths were all reserved. When we left an hour and a half later, there were still open booths. In the beginning of our meal, the server tried to rush us. In the end, we waited for 15 minutes to get our bill.
This place was very expensive and not worth it. I got a $45 prime rib and it was like rubber... the mashed potatoes were watery and the Brussel sprouts were super oily. Definitely not worth the money. The atmosphere was very nice and our waiter was outstanding but that doesn't cut it when the food is poor.
We had a wonderful thanksgiving dinner! Half of our party was delayed due to the ferry and nobody had an issue. The staff was welcoming and accommodating. Everything we ordered was delicious. We loved the prime rib, puttanesca, oysters, mussels, antipasto appetizer and bread appetizer. Great wine list, extensive cocktails and they had exactly the Old Stove beer I love and wanted! It was everything we could have hoped for on a non-traditional Thanksgiving. Thank you!!!
Our server Dominica was so helpful and super tentative. We loved all the dishes she recommended..we loved it all!
Great food and cheerful service but too loud for our party of six to hear from one end of the table to the other.
Food was wonderful and great presentation! The person who sat us was wonderful and created another 2 top table for us to sit at. Waiter was new and could not describe the food or recommend anything. Very slow and not attentive. I would still go back as the food was good but would not want the same server. I saw other servers that were smiling and engaging with customers so know they do have more experienced servers.
I asked the server for no garlic or to keep it to a minimum in my dish if it’s there at all, and I ended up with a dish that was quite garlicky :(
Delicious, creative, perfectly prepared dinner. Service was outstanding.
The food just wasn't as good as we'd hoped based on other reviews. The Gracie's pasta was just buttered noodles and tasteless. My steak was good and well prepared though.
Visiting our kids in Seattle and celebrating our wedding anniversary, we choice Orfeo from Trip Advisor. It was among the Top 10 in the area. We would place into the Top 5! Mussels were amazing, all of our dinners delish and perfectly portioned. Next time we back in Seattle we'll be there for sure.
Owner Kevin was tending the bar. Very friendly and welcoming.
Outstanding food and cocktails.
We had a great meal at Orfeo. We were seated upstairs and we explained to our server that we had tickets to Cinerama at 8:45 and were hoping to draw out dinner a bit. We started with a lovely salad and wine. When I couldn’t decide on which red I was given two generous tasting glasses. Both would have been perfect ! Not once did we feel rushed and we enjoyed our pizza and conversation right up until time for our movie. I’d highly recommend this restaurant for its cozy atmosphere, great pizza and attentive service.
Food was great, service was inattentive, our food came out very poorly timed and we never got asked about drink refills or how our food was. Passed on dessert and had to wait for the check. Wouldn’t come back for an anniversary or event, maybe for a casual dinner.
Had salad, pizza, and a cocktail for dinner. Plus desert. Pretty casual dining at a restaurant with a slightly more upmarket feel. Food was satisfactory. Pizza crust was the best part. Fast service.
Great service and amazing food!
Our servers Kyle, Danielle, and the host (didn’t catch her name) were all very attentive but not overbearing. We had hoped for fresh oysters but only saw char-grilled as an option on the menu; they specially prepared them fresh for us, and they were delicious. The pasta and tiramisu were both wonderful as well. Service was excellent, and it was just a lovely time. Thanks for helping make it special!
Have been here twice for dinner before attending events downtown. The quality of welcoming and service, speed of service, and quality of food have been perfect 10's both times. We have sampled many of the appetizers and different entrees: seafood, pasta, salads, soups, ... all great! The space is nice without being too high-brow. The lighting is also definitely well enough to not need a flashlight to read the menu. We feel very comfortable here and absolutely plan to return again!
Family was visiting from KC
Happy Hour is always a pleasure at Orfeo. The red wine is excellent quality, and the hearth bread is amazing. We go there week after week and never get tired of it.
We were seated in a quite round booth that was perfect for being close. Was a great date night spot.
Another wonderful anniversary dinner at our favorite restaurant! Thank you Orfeo!
Second time at this restaurant. My first experience was better — this time service was a bit slow even though the restaurant wasn’t very busy and we had an early reservation.
Wonderful food. Best meal we've had in a while. We had octopus, Bolognese, and pizza. So great. Wish the wine list had some non-washongton choices, but that's splitting hairs.
Food was good not great. Service left a little to be desired. Took some time and waitress was not very familiar with the CB menu.
60th Birthday Celebration - Amazing food! I can’t wait to come back!
The food was wonderful as always. Also it is nice that the host was already aware of my name from the reservation when we entered the restaurant. Our server became a bit less attentive as it became much busier and more crowded inside. but it is just a nitpick and not the level to bother us at all. In general, service was great and most of all the food is the best around.
Wanted to try a different Kevin and Teresa Davis restaurant (longtime fans of the Steelhead Diner), and this one didn’t disappoint. Tasty flatbread, wonderfully prepared pork chops over polenta, and outstanding service from start to finish. The next time we’re in Seattle, we’ll be back!
The pizza was wonderful with its charred crispy crust. The wood oven mussels were plump and sweet. My burger was rare , as I requested , with wonderful sauce, tomatoes/‘and bacon. Fries were hot and crisp. Yummy. Gracies pasta was perfect with the fresh fresh salad. Our. Cocktails were great. Service as always was friendly and efficient. Orfeo never disappoints. Love everything about it
We were treated especially well for our anniversary, but I’ve been treated well every time I’ve dined here. Everyone was warm, personable, and fun. The food is always fabulous, but Gracie’s Pasta and the polenta fritters are always my favorites.
We had a lovely round booth for a party of four. The food was hot and delicious. Low light ambiance. We will definitely return.
Relaxing meal—if possible, ask for one of the upstairs booths, which are cozy, quiet and more private. The downstairs main dining area has more of the bustling urban vibe, if that’s what you prefer.
We visit Orfeo about once a week. In addition to the excellent food, value, and atmosphere, their happy hour is a real draw. The hearth bread is to die for, and really high quality house red wine for $5/glass or $20/bottle. The service is the best we have encountered in the Northwest.
Excellent food. Fresh made pasta was delicious. Carbonara and putanesca were great. Mussels were excellent too
Excellent food and service. Would highly recommend if you looking for some delicious Italian cuisine.
Amazing service and amazing food. It's hard to say everything was great, but it was! Everyone we interacted with was friendly and prompt. For food, we got the hearth bread, oysters, NY steak, and carbonara pasta. The steak was perfectly cooked and the pasta was out of this world. We also ended with the tiramisu and it was a really nice texture. We will definitely be back!
Excellent seafood. Appetizer of the muscles was superior.
