The ore house is without a doubt the best restaurant in Durango. Consistent at all levels. Great food , varied menu , adventuresome craft cocktails, friendly prompt service , terrific wine list list at all price points , very welcoming decor . Can’t say enough good things about the ore house.

My streak wasn't quite as good as I have had here before, but still very good. The service was acceptable but a little bit slow. We will definitely come back though.

Great place to have a date night or special occasion. The food is always excellent and the chef is always willing to accommodate you for special dietary needs. My husband had the special for the evening. A 40oz bone in Ribeye. He said it was the best steak he has ever eaten.

We went to Ore house to celebrate our anniversary. We were seated in back next to the kitchen which was a constant rush waiters & servers bumping into your chair or head. We waited a long time for our food, an unusually long time as we noticed others who came in after us were enjoying their meals. Finally a server came up and apologized to us she had mistakenly taken our orders to someone else. Now our waitress never mentioned this to us nor were we offered anything for our extended wait , not a cocktail or even a dessert.
I don't mind paying premium prices for a meal but I expect premium service in return. The Ore House was a miserable failure with horrible service, I would not recommend it.

We have been to Ore House numerous times over the years and it is always an enjoyable dining experience. We live in Farmington and 9 times out of 10 when we visit Durango we will have dinner at the Ore House. The perfect steak house!

The pork entree wasn't the best. Years past has had better pork entrees, such as when the pork came with polenta cakes. The flat iron steak was good. Love the brussel sprouts and lobster Mac n cheese. Salads are always good!

We came to celebrate my wife's Birthday and after the meal she said it was one of the best Birthdays she had! We had the Caesar's Salad and the Chateaubriand with mashed potatoes and sautéed mushrooms. And we got her age as a percentage off part of the bill! Great place, great food, great service!

Ore House is never disappointing. There are excellent cocktails and wine list with exceptional food and friendly professional staff. Highly recommend this to anyone visiting Durango. Prices are higher than average fair but so is the food. Worth ever penny.

Such a solid, consistent and delicious restaurant!!!! The surf and surf and turf is so good that I rarely try anything else. The cornbread and crab mac and cheese are evil fattening but SO GOOD! Food and service are both outstanding.

We live in Durango but have not been in the Ore House for many years. We went for an anniversary dinner and had a very nice meal. We ate at 6 and the place was busy but quiet enough we could enjoy conversation. The food was very nicely done! Server was stellar as well.

The Ore House is a Durango ionic restaurant and steakhouse. Since 1972 they've been serving the best steak and "fancy restaurant" fare. Recent changes including remodeled kitchen, more menu offerings and an "ala cart" approach. Yes, it is pricey, but worth it, if you are looking for the best steak and service. Perfect for anniversaries, birthdays, special visitors' and VIP business dinners. And the wait staff? Excellent! Very attentive, responsive and helped make a good dinner, a fine dinner experience.

We love the Ore House, for their food, wine and great staff. We had my son's birthday there on 1/10/18 and our waiter was fabulous. he was engaging but not intrusive. He kept an eye on us for any of our needs. I am sorry I do not remember his name, but I know his family is Italian.

The food was mediocre. The lobster bisque barely had any lobster in it. The Ceviche was more cucumber, onion, jalapeno, cilantro than "alaskan salmon, market fish & baby scallops" as advertised! It barely had any fish in it. The steak came out rare instead of medium as ordered. Took awhile to get it back. Overpriced for what you get. Great service but wont be going back.
