Booked a table for dinner on Valentine’s Day. It turns out the restaurant is only open for breakfast. Sent us scrambling for another dinner spot. It all worked out but it could have been a terrible evening. This restaurant needs to change their table availability to mornings only.
Aloha Eysha, thank you for taking the time to share your review! We regret that you encountered this experience during Valentine's Day. Your feedback is valuable to us and we've ensured that moving forward availability reflects only the morning hours of operation. Upscale breakfast venue at the Fairmont Hotel on Hawaii.
Open air, lots of seating, and high end selections in a buffet area. Expensive but excellent quality at a luxury resort.
Wonderful breakfast buffet. Great pastries
Seating area is between buildings with little air movement and no view. Sounds like they’re moving the restaurant upstairs, which may be an improvement. Food is varied and plentiful but average.
Went there to celebrate our 25th Anniversary week. The service and ambiance where very good however the food was just okay considering the type of resort it was at and the price.
Excellent service and a very good breakfast buffet. Good value.
The reservation on open table asked if we wanted a table inside or outside. Since it was very windy I checked off inside. When we arrived there was no one at the reception desk. Then the manager told us that they only seat outside. The service was poor and since they moved our table into a corner, it was as if they forgot us. We kept waiting for refills for water and ended up getting a pitcher of water from a set up table for the servers. While my husband was getting the water pitcher our server actually walked right past him. I don't even think she saw him at all which is shocking. For such an upscale hotel and such an expensive dinner the evening was disappointing and we chose to eat here for our farewell dinner from the islands.
Very expensive for what it was
Weather was bad so lots of walk up requests. Seating was nice bit indoor due to weather. Gyoza was okay though perhaps bladder than some. Amberjack was excellent as was the Chicken. Both were had with ginger soy sauce. Asparagus was wpexcellent. Wine list was generic. No aromatic white even with reasonable spice level. Service was outstanding. Portions were not large which was okay for us. A larger eater may want to order more sides
Wait in the morning for breakfast is absolutely ridiculous. In order to bypass standing in line we used open table to make reservation. Monday morning we were able to book and reserve table but Tuesday morning the hostess said first come first basis and they would not take open table reservation.
Fairmont- get your team on the same page and remove your restaurant from open table or adjust hours so you don’t frustrate your guests
