Food was average I was charged twice for my meal I was giving a higher dollar amount half an hour later I will charged for the real amount and I was not told until I called them
We drive down every year or so. The view is great and the food is only average. The prix fe is a nice option. Fun cocktail menu. Last time Service was great this year only so so. But you don’t come here the service. Seemed like everyone around us had some issue with food or service. But it was a Sunday. So it’s not the A team.
My husband and I had dinner there Sunday night to celebrate our 40th Anniversary. We've been coming here for 45 years. The service was nice, but the entry is unkept and out dated, the chairs were super uncomfortable and the food was just average. For example, the soup of the day was chicken noodle. Really? It tasted like it came out or a can. So disappointing.
Changed my mind... Wow what a great surprise to fine excellent food along with that stellar view. We live nearby and have not frequented Orange Hill- but we will be going back soon. My son's filet mignon was excellent and my Sea Bass was spectacular. They have updated the menu and Orange Hill is happening. Go and enjoy!
Food variety was good but the Tri-Tip was way over-cooked and dry, bacon was greasy, presentation of the buffet is cafeteria style.
For a Sunday Champaign brunch this restaurant was disappointment. Compared to the Four Seasons, Fogo de Chao, Trump National Golf Resort (Palos Verdes), the Queen Mary, and Spageittini's (Seal Beach) not to mention the Resort At Monarch Bay; this scores dead last!
Everything is absolutely perfect in this beautifully, tucked-away gem. The food is delicious, the view is wonderful, but the service is beyond fabulous.
The whole experience Was fantastic the service was outstanding the food was great the views are also great perfect for a nice lovely romantic date or a great brunch
Amazing view in the heart of Orange. Good for dates just for the view alone.
The view is of course spectacular--we sat outside but tables inside also have a view. The food was delicious and the service excellent. We will be returning!
Brian was attentive & had a sense of humor
PLEASE adjust air conditioning--was hot when the fan turned off. Would have been good if A/C stayed on
The food quality was amazing. All of us had steaks, and they were cooked to perfection and flavored well. Highly recommend.
We are celebrating our 55th mother's birthday, we did not get offered birthday cake like previously. We do brought our own cake, but the restaurant was out of candle? Unacceptable. While the waiter is nice, but he is not sympathetic. For 18% tips, definitely lacking in substance. I would think twice for to do anything at your place. First time was awesome, this visit really left a bad taste in my mouth... I am not that mean putting the review on yelp though.
My wife and I each chose something different off of their three course meal menu. We felt that their first course, when choosing a soup, don’t. It was different, but their soup of the day and the french onion soup, both tasted like something was missing. We felt that for the standard it should have met, it felt short on the composition of flavor. We then came to our second course. Let me tell you and everyone else I will tell this. For the loss they had in the first course when it came to soups, they made it up tremendously with the main course. I ordered the herb roasted prime rib, the meat itself was delightful and the quantity that it came in was more than enough. The accompanying sides on the main course plate complimented the steak itself. Their housemade bbq sauce really brought the flavors out in the prime rib. My wife ordered the C.A.B. New York strip steak. She loved the quality of the meat, yet she felt it was a bit short on quantity, I felt the same. All was well though bc we traded half of our meats to really compare the quality of each one. I’m sure I speak for both of us, it tasted amazing! Her sides also complimented her NYS steak. When it was time for our third course, the tasty dessert, we were stuffed. We went ahead and ordered their lava Cake and their créeme brûlée. The lava cake was delicious and creamy, the ice cream scoop it came with mixed in well as you reviewed the best of both temperatures, hot & cold. The créeme brûlée was really tasty on the top half of the cup, but the bottom tasted too much like egg, a bit too much for our taste. Although, we felt it was still delicious. What made this meal much more interesting and amazing was the beautiful view it came with. I suggest making a 7/7:30 pm reservation to really experience the sunset. I’d definitely go with the outdoor seating. Pick the seating that’s next to the railing so that other guests don’t obstruct your view or a chance to take a gorgeous photo. Overall, we loved this dinner.
Service at the bar was extremely slow. A server never came to take our order. I had to go to the bar to order drinks and appetizers. No refills were offered on water nor soda. We were told 3 times our table was ready but it wasn’t.
We had our 21st Wedding Anniversary. We celebrate our anniversary here every year so far. We love it here.
I can’t wait to go back! The view is so unique and the food is excellent. I love Orange Hill
We have been to the restaurant many times for Sunday buffet and found it to be very good. This time the food was changed to Asian and was not very good. We won't be back. The price is now exorbitant for the value offered.
Orange Hill is always a beautiful place for a Sunday brunch. The food was excellent and there was a variety available from which to choose. It was my boyfriend's first time there and he was impressed with the entire experience!!
The restaurant was great, we asked to get photos taken and the view was spectacular.
Treated myself to a one on one dinner with my myself. The view was impeccable as always and this is definitely the place to reflect on yourself.
Came here for my two year anniversary. The view is absolutely amazing and makes the entire experience that much better.
We have been going to Orange Hill for the last 25 years and always have had a very good experience. This last time was the exception as the service was below par and the menu was kind of boring nothing to get excited about. Not sure if it is due to change in management or something else but I don't think I will be taking any guests their for now and will look for other places with the quality normally expected from a high end restaurant.
I’m was here for my birthday a couple years ago and my dinner experience was outstanding ,this time not so much, dinner tables were all dusty, the wine glasses were dirty....
Couldn't ask for a better experience. From the seating to the food and service quality, all were exceptional. We had high expectations, and all were met. Great sunset view with mild weather were definitely the cherry on top.
It was disappointed. The foods are so boring. I have been coming here for the last 15 years and the menu is the same.
I expect it to improve or change the menu but it was so boring.
Great customer service beautiful view I had a great birthday.
Food was uncooked, chef reheated my steak by picking it up from the plate using bare hands, waiter did not acknowledge us until was time to pay, and do forth. Horrible experience, will let all my friends know to avoid the restaurant. I expected much better than that.
Lovely view! Great for special occasions and anniversary outdoor seating is great for nighttime dining, highly recommended!
It was our first time coming here, and based on our experience we will definitely be returning! Our waiter Jason was amazing! Thanks to his service and professionalism my husband and I give the restaurant perfect stars! The food was amazing, drinks were to die for!!
I want to commend Brian for his great service!!! You made our first visit worth coming back!! Thank you!
We love coming to Orange Hill! Everyone is always so friendly and very attentive. The added bonus is the view is so beautiful!! The food and drinks are always excellent! The ribeye I ordered was fantastic ( medium rare of course!) Jason made our Anniversary so nice and relaxing by taking his time serving our dinner. Also, thank you Erin for our delicious dessert.Of course we will be back real soon!
Great service and beautiful view!
Amazing. Best brunch in Orange County. Lots of selection including prime rib yummy
First time there for brunch did not like the food the meats where raw and not well done food was cold and not that much variety. Also there was no fruit bar. I honestly was disappointed. I think there should be more variety.
When we went to get dessert, we made to display our plates and utensils in a way where people knew we were not done with our food. It was a full plate of food. Couldn’t find our server so we just left our table real quick. Came back and someone already cleared our table. I was so annoyed.
The view, dinner, drinks, everything was amazing. I loved the lobster Mac n cheese! I did however dislike that we were not given a complimentary dessert as were celebrating our 9th year anniversary. We did see other guests with birthday and anniversary plates. Overall dinner was fantastic! We got to see the fireworks from Angels Stadium and Disneyland.
Fantastic dinner on the patio! Get a reservation for about an hour before sunset and enjoy an amazing view with the delicious food. Especially recommend the creme brûlée
The restaurant is gorgeous sitting on top of the beautiful hill. The food was amazing and portions are enough for two people. The view was also amazing and I loved the friendly atmosphere.
Service was a bit too slow paced. We sat down at 5:25 and didn’t leave until about 7:30...maybe there was one other table besides ours. Our server had a great, friendly personality but didn’t come back often enough to check on things - this had us staying there a lot longer than we expected.
Short ribs were to die for. The Chilean Sea Bass was excellent as well. The view was spectacular! Old school dining experience, we’ll be back!
