This was our first time visiting, but it won’t be our last. We loved everything about our visit. Our server Alex was awesome. The foods and drinks were fantastic.
Let’s face it, your paying for the view which is incredible. The food was pretty good, but it took a long time for our entrees to arrive, even though we told our waiter one of our party was time constrained.
I paid for the view, not the parking lot but we ended up sitting in the parking lot. Food was amazing, as always. Service was 3/5 but they were pretty busy so I'm happy for the servers.
being a long time customer i noticed the quality of the food has gone down, portions appear to be alot smaller, just not worth the money for dinner and drinks.
I would just go for a glass of wine with a charcuterie board to enjoy the view. Dinner menu isn’t great.

Very good food, a little pricey and mandatory valet ( cars gets parked ~20 feet away from entrance for $7). The view is amazing. Not an every day place but great for occasions
Food was ok but not what we expected for the price, some of our favorites were not offered which was disappointing. The outside sining was uncomfortable and the sun was blinding with no shade. Service was probably the best out of everything.

We have eaten here many times and normally better. However, this was first time at the restaurant since re-opening so we are going to cut them a pass. Usually very good.
Such an amazing place! We sat outside and it was perfect area and the service was amazing! Our waiter gave amazing recommendations! Cannot say enough about this place.

Lower level quality service. Paper napkins, no table cloths, no menus except by using their website. Not even close to our prior experiences. Currently not worth the price.
The furniture needs reconditioning. Chairs were uncomfortable, hard, no cushion. Did not like having no option as far as gratuity. it was either 18%, 22%, or 24%. waiter Ryan was outstanding. Food was OK not the greatest and all in all a bit overpriced. Not a return customer.
Celebrating our Anniversary and was so happy to be able to make a reservation and eat indoors, but what use to be a special place to go is now just a nice place. We were sat next to a window and told look at your great view - but it was were the servers went up and down the stairs for the outdoor dining and so we saw a lot of butts standing and talking on the stairs. Paper napkins and a packet of silverware handed to you so you know it was clean. Server was nice but I know COVID has changed things. It’s a nice restaurant but nothing thrilling for the $300 dinner we had.
The food is really good.
arrived 15 mins before the appointment time and still had to wait for 45 mins to be seated to a booth that was empty the entire 45 mins wait. long wait for actual food and food was delivered cold
Orange Hill has undoubtedly gorgeous views. That is what you pay for and everyone should experience it as least once.
The staff at the check in desk are always polite and very nice and try to accommodate any request you may have as best they can. However, in my opinion, the food is just ok.
Last week we visited to celebrate a birthday and we ordered steaks and fish. We were disappointed in the quality of the food considering how much it costs. The quality and price simply don't match. In addition, although our server was very nice, service was very slow and sporadic. It took over an hour to get our food and some of it was cold.
Our meal came to hundreds of dollars and was just not worth it. I believe that at that price point, there are better restaurant options.
They are charging Ruth Chris or Mastro's pricing without the quality.

The staff was amazing, they were accommodating to everything it was windy and cold in the evening and the staff sold us blankets !! We went to celebrate my brothers birthday I ordered the 24 hour roasted prime rib and it was well done tasty! The dessert was also 10/10 I totally recommend can't forget about the amazing view !
Easter evening. Sun setting. Indoor window table. Four college students and a Dad. Kevin was the waiter. Overall -Wow. Lifetime Memory.
But for the $496 bill, let me be a little specific. I enjoyed the app of a bread speciality. The B-Sprout dish was sweet which one or two loved and for me was a mixed experience. We ordered a couple of bottles of Chandon which was presented in the ice bucket and helped make the evening. (Let me creep in a little bias - The stemware was very ordinary - but being deep in an Easter Sunday, maybe the choice had to be in favor of the durable.) Four diners had a steak dish and I had the Sea Bass. A very good dish. I enjoyed it . Paired with a slightly charred broccolini with a snappy fresh texture - A Plus. The other diners had a side of shoestring potatoes - which was a crowd pleaser and prepared perfectly.
(I’m biased - I hoped for something more off path so to speak.) The only quibble is one guest’s 10 oz dry aged New York was about a tall as it was wide and he struggled to carve it up prepared medium. He actually let the waiter clear his dish with about 3 oz to go. The gals dining had between them
the filet mignon and two skirt steaks, served with a dark sauce, which was fully appreciated. We took photos at the balcony and while there noticed the other dinners, who universally, though a true eclectic crowd, were having a good time. (Surprisingly, from resorts in Hawaii to Japanese restaurants in Irvine, a big segment of the clientele don’t look pleased.) On our way out we checked out the Koi Pond before heading to Newport for after dinner fun. Orange Hill - it is as special as you have heard.
The drive up to restaurant is worth the trip. The view is worth the trip. The menu is worth the trip. if you want to impress, bring them here.

We were seated outside about an hour before sunset and it was gorgeous. The view the whole time was great. The light wind kept it nice while the sun was up and they lit fires and the heat lamps as the temp dropped. Staff was very friendly and the food and drinks were good. Perfect place for a special occasion. Due to wind I recommend bringing a light jacket and not wearing a flowy short skirt. Bring cash for valet, no self parking.
We celebrated a 70th birthday there. The food was amazing and the service was great. Alex was awesome! Really made made the evening special.

THERE ARE NO DEALS HERE. WE WENT THERE ON EASTER, AND WHILE IT WAS BUSY, I HAD RESERVATIONS AT 5 AND THERE WAS A LITERAL LINE OUTSIDE OF 20 PEOPLE MINIMUM. WE ENDED UP SITTING IN THE BAR AREA WHICH WAS FINE. I THINK THE HOSTESS WAS IN OVER HER HEAD. THE MAIN GUY TAKING MONEY AT THE VALET DESK HAS ABSOLUTELY NO BUSINESS BEING IN THAT POSITION. NO PEOPLE SKILLS WHAT-SO-EVER!!!!!
Easter Brunch - French toast sticks were terrible, hor d’ourves were marginal. We were a party of 5, only 2 meals were good, filet and the salmon. For $75 per person we expected exceptionally prepared food, so disappointed. The deserts weren’t very tasty either, carrot cake was dry and other desserts lacked flavor, except for the chocolate with carmel.
We always enjoy going there, but unfortunately due to COVID it seemed a little different. We ate outside which was fine. The prices were higher than I remember. $75 per person with a fixed menu. The food was good except for the desserts (a little sparse and didn't seem fresh). In addition, it was $22 per person for bottomless mimosas. So basically $100 for brunch.
This was a fixed menu for Easter. When I asked if they could scramble the eggs instead of poached, they said no. For $75.00 per person and they would not take the time to scramble eggs for someone who doesn’t like poached and that was the only way they were preparing eggs on their menu
The appetizers were all cold appetizers and the only bread was croissants ( cold and out of a box)
the salad came in bowls that were so hot from the dishwasher that the salad was hot and inedible
There were no linens on the table and no florals or even candles- and this was Easter
The dessert plate was marginal for a supposedly fine restaurant.
We will not be returning So disappointing!

Unfortunately we don't provide any special linen or florals for our Easter day due to being such a large establishment. I can assure you that the plating was not hot due to it coming out of the dishwasher but due to some heat lamps that we have on our kitchen line. We had an enjoyable experience from the valet assisting me with my walker to entrance into the restaurant to outside seating with views. Best of all was our service provided by Amber. We had one of our best experiences. Thank you Orange Hills Restaurant and staff.
We have eaten at Orange Hill many times in the past, pre pandemic and during Covid.
We have enjoyed brunch at Orange Hill several times before the pandemic. We always enjoyed it. The food, service and ambience was always incredible. We, a family of 5 adults, along with a 7 month old went for Easter Sunday brunch. We were well aware that this brunch was a coursed meal, not buffet, as usual.
The one thing that we were very pleased with was the socially distanced seating. Upon being seated, the waitress asked if she could bring anything to drink. We all ordered bottomless mimosas at $22 per. According to the menu, 5 juice flavors to go along with the champagne, so we asked to bring an assortment. When the waitress returned, we were told that they were out of the watermelon lime. It was 11:00 AM.
We were brought charcuterie and seafood plates to share, as promised. There were 5 of us dining, but nothing offered on either plate had enough to let each of us have one. As a matter of fact, there was 1 slice of prosciutto!
Next came the plated salads that were good.
We had to get the waitress' attention to get our mimosas refilled.
We asked for waters 3 times until I got up to get it myself.
The entrees were good.
The dessert assortment again had a couple pieces of mini desserts, but not enough for each of us to have 1 of each. Giving 2 of the chocolate Easter egg (very pretty) was especially disappointing.
Knowing that we were not pleased with the meal, our waitress took a couple of the mimosas off our bill. I wasn't looking for a discount. I wanted good service.
I am always hesitant dining out for holidays. I know the service can be rushed and the food can be less than lacking. This was not enjoyable. I will recommend Orange Hill for the view at this point. Go on a clear day.

It was my first time here and everything was great except I wasn’t aware there was different outdoor sitting options until I was leaving. Upon making reservation it on my had one outdoor option. I was super excited to visit this restaurant because I saw amazing photos of the view online and I love visiting restaurants with a great view however where we were seated was not a really nice view it was just a view of a darker area and I would have appreciated to have been given the option to be seated in the different outdoor section with better view and set up

Perfect city and amazing sunset view! Food is great. Service is amazing. Our waitress Donna is superb and very attentive.

There are many things that I didn’t like about my visit. Service was mediocre , food was cold and with the nearby wedding I wasn’t able to enjoy the company at our table. When the food came out the French fries were cold And something was clearly Wrong with my wife’s lobster.When she broke open the claws instead of meat meat being firm it was loose and slimyFor the price paid for the meal I would expect for the quality of the food to be exceptional.
