I enjoy the outdoor view. Restroom does smell and dirty when there not many customers, they should
keep it clean for such a fancy restaurant.
Gorgeous view, friendly service, nice atmosphere. I would come back for drinks only though. My meal was messed up 3 times. It was 2 people, how do you make a mistake 3 times. It might have just been an off night, but for the price I was charged I would not give them the opportunity to fix their mistakes.
Amazing customer service and food was absolutely Devine I will definitely be back again
The service and food was amazing. The staff was so friendly and even took our picture.
I love love love the Sunday brunch at Orange Hill. However, on my recent visit, I was so disappointed. We came in around noon and found most of the dishes were empty/being refilled with simpler dishes - for example, there is usually a poached salmon on display and a larger fried fish (maybe snapper?) anyway, they were both picked down to the bones and never replaced. This was the case with several of the main dishes, including the roasted salmon, mashed potatoes and a few other sides, th breakast items were dried out as well (hared french toast and extremely crunch waffles). We basically paid $60 ea/ for what seemed like leftovers and I was pretty disappointed.. I feel like we should have been comped at least partially for the experience. On top of all of that, our server pretty much disappeared after introducing us and we never got an opportunity to order any of the extras.. barely had our champagne refilled and it took about 20+ minutes to get our check.. I love this place, the staff are friendly and the ambiance is magnificent, but I'm hesitant to come back since that is a lot of money for brunch and this last visit made us feel ripped off.
Our server was very kind and always took our feelings into consideration considering there was a ton of people from a banquet being super loud and obnoxious around us when we were hoping for some quiet. The food was amazing and the plates with the desserts looked divine.
The view is beautiful! The food wasn't as enjoyable as our previous visit however; the Charred Octopus was really tender, flavor was delicious but salty. The French Onion Soup could use a little less salt, but still good. The Sea Bass was on the salty side too, and the rice was too sweet. The Truffle Lobster Baked Mac & Cheese was tasty, but the pasta was a little too al dente which took away from enjoying the flavor. The Prime Rib-Eye Steak was pretty good. The Lava Cake and Creme Brulee were delicious!
Didn't think anything could top the view, but my filet mignon and my husband's ribeye were out of this world! Highly recommend.
Service was not on point we paid for endless mimosas and usually are glass are never empty but not in this case I was disappointed that your buffet brunch was only on Sundays I had misread when I booked the Brunch we live so far away ( Ohio) We only get to go there once and year
My wife and I had a great experience for our 1 year anniversary.
Food was amazing and view was fantastic. Rib-eye and the Filet was very tasty.
Thank you for joining us! Glad you enjoyed the steaks so much!! See you soon. -Courtney Miller, Manager
We always can count on a great evening here. We have been coming for many years and never are disappointed?
Beautiful restaurant with a wonderful location overlooking LA. However, unless your visit is acknowledged as a special event, you will receive lackluster service. Even with a reservation, window tables are a premium. Guests at the window tables receive more attention...and there is a constant wave of folks clamoring to be moved / re-seated at a window. The menu selections and food quality are very good, but we had to hunt down our waitress several times in order to continue the dinner service / pay our check. Opt for a better restaurant in the city and enjoy a drive up to Orange Hill, afterwards.
Amazing view with amazing food!
The chateaubriand was phenomenal—seared in brandy right at the table. The ambiance was quiet, classy, and romantic. We sat at a window looking directly down Chapman at all the city lights. Very romantic. It isn’t cheap, but it isn’t supposed to be. It was a good value for the food served. This is an excellent spot to take a date.
Very organized place from the valet up to check out.it was our anniversary and they gave us a desert with happy anniversary written on it.very friendly staff
Very nice restaurant with nice view. We sat beside the window. Food was great and big. Will come back for sure, in a sunny day so that we can sit outside.:)
Mauricio was a great server really made us have a great experience.
Service is longer than usual
It doesn't get any better than a sunset dinner on Orange Hill's patio!
Food was overpriced
Cooked terribly, had to get reimbursed for
4 plates and 1 appetizer plate
Would never go back or recommend to anyone
We had a reservation for 6:15pm, but because we were a party of 6 and had asked for an outside table, we had to wait 45 minutes before we were seated. Once seated, a server came to our table & stated that our server was on break but he could take our beverage order, we ordered drinks and appetizers, it took about 20 minutes to get our appetizers, but after our appetizers were served, no one came to our table to take our entree orders for another 20+ minutes, I had to ask a different server to please find out who our server was and to please send him to our table. Once we ordered our entrees it again took a long time to get our food, once we got our main entrees-thank God the food was excellent-our server once again disappeared until we flagged him to order deserts.
We come to Orange Hill about 3 times a year on special occasions, we love to sit outside and watch the sunsets while we dine, all the previous times we’ve been here both the food and service were excellent, not this time! One other annoying thing, the restaurant website does not have their wine list, I prefer to bring my own cellared wines for our special occasions, but don’t want to incur a faux pas by bringing in a wine that is on the wine list, so I made a point of calling the restaurant to inquire about their wine list, first they put me on hold for a long time, then they transferred me to the “general manager”, the call went to her voice mail, when I checked in I asked why their wine list was not available online, I was told that their wine list changes often and therefore it is too time consuming to keep it updated, that’s a weak excuse!
To summarize: My family and I made the best of our visit, and because the food was great we may visit again, but the poor service and the fact that the first page of their website has a “help wanted” banner, may influence us to dine elsewhere.
There's is a lot of complaints of the food not having flavor and the service being horrible. Don't always believe what you read. The food was amazing, great flavor, and perfect portions. Now if you expect your plate to be overflowing with food, this might not be the place for you. The service was perfect, our waiter came by right when we needed her and we only had to flag her down once. If your in a big rush to get in and get out and don't want to spend some time there, than dine elsewhere. But this restaurant gets "5 STARS" from me.
I didn’t care about a dish being $40. That is, until a uncooked dish came to my table, followed by my wife’s dish being too salty.
Then, they took the dishes back, and once we got them back, we noticed my wife's dish had “popcorn” for decoration purposes and my noodles dish was still uncooked.
Apparently, that is how the recipe is made, so they can’t fully cook the meal
First time at this restaurant was really captivating! My lady thought if was definently an open eye experience! So thank you!...food was good had a 3 course meal ..in the beginning service was great!..then slowly felt forgotten..probably because more people came in to be seen...but was werid that main server had a waiter with her that seemed like he couldn't help her out much...an looked like he was full of "robot emotions"... other than this...was a decent first time experience
The food was wonderful. The view is spectacular, particularly at sunset. This is a restaurant you must visit!
The best mac n cheese I have ever had! My waiter was so kind .
Great fun waiter. Love the view.
As always, the experience at Orange Hill was outstanding. From the valet team to the hostess to service and everything in between, it was great. We were a little cold where we were sitting, and mentioned it to our waitress and she got them to adjust it a little. Everyone was very courteous and the food (I got the lobster mac' and cheese) was fantastic. The view is really hard to beat, too.
Great venue, great food, great service and the view is amazing.
Great view, but their food in comparison to pricing and less expensive restaurants suck. We go here for the view but they really need a new head chef to steer this in a better direction with top-tier quality tasty dishes. Way too pricey for such sub-par food.
The only reason why it got a score of 4 stars overall is because cup and fork were dirty and there was mosquitos inside the restaurant.
The place was great, Great Food We went for my husband Birthday and we enjoyed a lot with great Ambiance 😊 definitely gonna visit again this place
We love being that first choice to celebrate any special occasion! Thank you for joining us, and we look forward to seeing you again soon!-Courtney Miller, Manager
We have been before and it was excellent. We brought our daughter foe her 20th birthday and she ordered the garlic steak. It had absolutely no flavor but it was tender. My other daughter ordered the ceaser salad which came with no dressing and was simply iceberg lettuce and chicken for $17. Ridiculous. I ordered scallops and it came with tons and tons of corn😳and 3 small scallops and little flavor. Our service itself was excellent but we will not be back if the food remains the same at this price. Your atmosphere is to die for but that is about it. We were disappointed in the food being we had just been in February and it had been so good.
Loved loved the view, great food, had to wait a bit for a table outside but waited at the bar which has a beautiful view also overall great experience
Always a delightful time at Orange Hill. The view alone makes it worth it.
Always a treat to bring my friends and family to Sunday Brunch ✨
Awesome service beautiful views great food definitely going back
Great customer service and food! I can’t wait to go back again.
I was ordered for juice and some food and did not bring until after 50 minutes and the juice never showed up very bad service
