Awesome food, awesome drinks and awesome service. Beautiful place.
Excellent experience very bright and clean restaurant. Table was ready for us when we arrived. Nice bar area. Drinks were ok. Little pricey.
Food was amazing. Well worth it! Probably the best bacon I’ve had and I’ve eaten at a lot of steakhouses.
We had the Australian wagyu tomahawk and it was done to perfection. My wife had the veal chop and that was delicious as well.
Dessert was great. Really tasty and some of the freshest coffee on the island.
Will return. But not before we hit insignia again!
Went to Opus for my 28th birthday. Our server Jordan was so kind, helpful, and knowledgeable with the menu and specials. He never once pushed myself or my friends to purchase anything above our limits and had great recommendations throughout. The food was well worth the price and I didn't feel like I was still hungry after eating. The atmosphere felt upscale and classy. Everything was very clean and well taken care of. At the end, the owner came up to us to ask how we liked everything so it felt very personable. Complimentary valet was a nice touch.
Great place for date nights. Servers recommend good choices and options. Awesome drinks!
Amaris, our server was TERRIFIC ! The whole dinner was unbelievable
Opus has such an amazing space with beautiful decor and elegant atmosphere, but I just wish the food were a bit tastier. The Burrata on the special was pretty bland, while the fried calamari lacked the crispness and crunchiness they should have. The wagu tips with blue cheese, served as an appetizer, was way too salty and I could only manage a couple of bites. The chips topping on it was very good though.
The wagu steaks were well prepared and my kids enjoyed them a lot. The truffle Mac n’ Cheese was a bit disappointing as it lacked in flavor, while the swordfish was nicely prepared.
Our waiter was extremely nice and courteous and his service was impeccable. We were seated immediately upon checking in with the hostess and we loved the outdoor seating area. I would go back again but would love to see some of their dishes improved.
great service with Harry. good excellent
Very nice restaurant. Our server Jason S. was excellent.
We had a lovely time here celebrating my birthday! Our Server Arturo was very sweet and accommodating. I had a wonderful birthday dinner, the restaurant was absolutely beautiful. Would definitely recommend
Anniversary celebration with my family. A very memorable evening: the food, the drinks and the service were outstanding. Shout out to Arturo, our waiter, who was an impeccable professional.
The calamari and soup was very salty. The sushi was good and vegetables. My 13 year old had he hamburger which was too smoky and not cooked medium. The steak fries were good but they should offer truffle shoe fries too. When the steak for 2 came out with our sides they just put it on the table and did not cut and serve us. Also during the meal we ordered drinks which took a very long time to get. Horrible service.
Me and my best friend were celebrating our 40th birthdays. The female host was very accommodating with my reservation I had to make a few changes to it as far as the amount of people going and she was able to make it happen. Our reservation was at 8 pm, we got there at 8 pm and were told our table was being set up as the previous party just left. We didn’t get seating until 830 but that was ok, because we were all able to get a section at the bar and enjoy a drink, plus they let us know that the kitchen was a bit backed up due to the amount of tickets they were taking care of, it was understandable. Our dining experience was great, the wait staff let us know the specials for the evening along with providing us with food suggestions aka staff favorites. After dinner, the wait staff brought us out birthday mini cakes and sang us happy birthday. It was a great experience overall and we will definitely be back in the near future.
I did like Nick our waiter a lot. Personal, respectful and would make terrific suggestions. He made our experience there worthwhile. I was not happy at first when I first got there. They were going to seat us right next to the kitchen. Which I did not want. They accommodated us, and we sat near the open air dining. But the staff made up for it and i did enjoy my birthday dinner. One suggestion please train the young man who takes away our plates between courses. Needs to be a little more pleasant.
Great food, service and atmosphere is there trademark
Our server Jen was excellent, very attentive and polite. We met the manager Amanda and she was very engaging and an excellent conversation ensued. Overall an outstanding evening.
Everything was great
Best steak we have ever had. Our waiter was phenomenal. Overall a great night @ Opus.
Our waiter Kumar was top notch. He was always checking on us and we never felt like we had to wait for anything. The food was pricey but so worth it. Everything was delicious!
We had a great time! Our food was delicious. The only thing is our waiters seemed to be fighting and were very slow getting our desert and bill even after I told her we needed to leave for another reservation.
Great experience! This restaurant is absolutely beautiful. We sat on the outside patio which is stunning. The service was impeccable. Our waitress Emma was so friendly and professional. The manager, Ron came over to our table a few times to make sure our experience was exceptional. The food was delicious. I can’t wait to go back!
food was incredible- chocolate passion is one of the best desserts i’ve had on the island. waitress was nice. food honestly wasn’t that expensive for how incredible it is- and it’s quite a lot of food. picahna was 10/10. the toro was probably my favorite dish.
We were told about a steak special for $169 for 2, we wanted to order 2 and we’re told they have no more but they do have a special for $269 for 2. The old bait and switch. It was 5:30 and the restaurant was empty.
We ordered the bacon appetizer for the table and it was all fat and under cooked.
The service was slow and our waiter kept forgetting things. Had to ask for a glass of wine 3 times.
Will most likely not go back
ambiance is beautiful love the atmosphere staff amazing .. would definitely go back
When we arrived we were told they were a little behind which was fine because our entire party wasn’t all there. After being seated the waiter took our order and our appetizers came out relatively quickly. However after that we ended up waiting at least 45 minutes for our entrees to be served. The food itself was delicious
Always delicious and never disappoints! Emma was a great waitress!
Service was spot on, great food and cocktails. Very enjoyable.
The food was excellent and the ambiance was wonderful. The staff made us feel like honored guest in their home. Highly recommended.
Bone in dinosaur short rib was amazing! Never seen something so big!
Australian Wagyu Tomahawk was amazing!
Service was exceptionally slow- over an hour between courses! Backup appeared to be in the kitchen, not the waiter. Waygu steaks were stratospheric in price, mediocre in taste and minuscule in portion. Have dined here numerous times before and this was by far our worst experience.
As always our dining experience at Opus was excellent-the service is superior as was each course that we ordered! It was a wonderful evening and we look forward to returning!
Food was excellent!
This was my 2nd time at Opus and I had 2 experiences. The main dishes were very good, the side dishes were bland and disappointing and seriously overpriced, . The 1st time I had dinner here the service was fantastic, which is why I came back, this time it was Very Poor. The waiter and waitress were rushed and distracted even though the restaurant was nowhere close to full. They charged $28 for a 6oz pour of Duck Horn, by the way I think they gave me the 3oz glass, for $28 which is probably a 400% mark up, 800% if a 3oz glass. I understand restaurants need to make up for lost time and money but you cannot go overboard if you want repeat customers.
I don't mind paying a premium for great taste and great service but you'd better hit on target with both. Opus missed on both this visit. Time to move on.
Opus is a very pretty restaurant with a lovely back porch/patio that is terrific in the good weather. Although it is a steak house, it has a lot of non steak dishes and a sushi chef. I had the wedge salad, which comes with a large slab of their house bacon. It was very good, but I would recommend asking them to chop it since it can get messy doing it yourself. I had steak - I found the menu a bit confusing with many different types of steak kind of randomly listed, but I ordered the classic Porterhouse for 2 and it was excellent. I passed on the variety of sauces because if you are at a top notch steakhouse there is simply no reason for them. The sides of brussels sprouts and broccoli rabe were very good - the hash brown, as is almost always the case - were disappointing. I miss the simple loaf of shredded potatoes deep fried on the outside and tender on the inside that used to be a steakhouse staple but has sadly and inexplicably disappeared. The staff was great, helpful, attentive and efficient. There are a lot of great steakhouse options on LI, and I would put Opus among the top 5, maybe even in the top 3. Good wine list and service too. I would definitely return.
first timer with my husband for our anniversary& we loved it! The staff was excellent and the food choices were to die for. Opus is a beautiful restaurant and we can’t wait to come back.
$600 bottle of wine but sommelier wont come open it himself?? until waiter breaks the cork. Huge decline in staff professionalism. Steak overcooked. Needs improvement
Phenomenal steaks and wine list. Beautiful outdoor seating. I had a good laugh when our server accidentally poured out bottle of wine into my glass of water despite the fact that I could have asked for the bottle to be comped. The service was excellent despite the one minor mishap. The Scotto brothers know good hospitality and I will be back at Rare650 next week
Celebrated our anniversary here. Would do it again.
I completely enjoy visiting the restaurants in this chain . I am a frequent customer of insignia and blackstone and thought it would be great to visit one of the other restaurants to celebrate my brother in law’s promotion to Nypd lieutenant. Upon arrival at Opus , I was very impressed . I expected this establishment to have the same if not better in regards of ambiance and i was not disappointed . Food and drinks were on point but in regards to the service we received at the table I am very disappointed . Our server Harry M needs a lot of work . I am unsure if it was because our reservation was near end of night (8:30p) and he was tired or what it was but I can say I never received service such as this visiting any of the restaurants in this chain .
Before sitting down I ordered a custom made drink from the bar which the female bartender (didn’t have her name off my receipt ) made was so delicious . My cousin who is also a member of law enforcement Also had a custom drink made by this young lady , she’s very good . When sitting down , our server left us for sometime at the table with no introduction to specials , the other members of our party with no drinks they ordered and it just went downhill from there . Twice i went to the bar as well as my fiancé to get our tables drinks and seltzer water with lime ordered . The bartender even had to make my drink over because the waiter gave her the wrong drink order for myself . The food made up for a lot of complaints We had but it was seeing the waiter not use the ice scoop and use his hands to handle my cousins glass of ice with seltzer that made our night and I chose not to continue eating my food . We did complain to the Maitre D and he did say he would speak with him but just coming out of strict Covid measures this is unacceptable .
Overall the food was good and place has great atmosphere but service unfortunately was a no for me and it’s sad to say I will not return here . Retraining needs to be priority .
The food and ambiance is always great here. Will definitely come back
