Everything was of utmost perfection. We felt nurtured, enjoyed food and drink combinations that made the meal come alive, artfully beautiful platings, delicious and distinctive flavors, and literally the best experience - and we enjoy fine dining and have enjoyed fine restaurants all over the world. The chefs obviously put their passion and love into every dish created. Loved it immensly!
Wonderful, intimate dining. Went for our anniversary. Attentive and friendly staff, wonderful food that is artfully prepared- a special dining experience from start to finish. Pamper yourself and go! We will return.
Easter Sunday Brunch, outstanding food, great service. Chef came over to the table and discussed the menu with us. Will be back!
Deserves a Michelin star without question!
This was a 10! We went for our Anniversary and they even had flowers for us. Fabulous service and amazing food and wine pairing. We will be back! Thank you Kristin Ans Stuart Arnett
Fantastic atmosphere, service and the food was to die for!! The chef and pastry chefs deserve awards!!
Phenomenal 6 course wine paired dinner. Best dining experience in Lake Geneva, hands down. And stands up to some of the best restaurants anywhere. And we have traveled to world to dine at many of the best restaurants globally!
Wow French dining in Williams Bay WI. Just opened a few months ago and they have a new chef from France. We chose the 3 course meal which started with a complimentary glass of champagne. The food was very complex and you could taste all the layers of flavors. Exceptional preparation and an eye on the details of each plate down to the edible flower petals. The value is incredible compared to the mostly overpriced big city restaurants. Also try the wine pairings, it’s worth it.
Don’t expect a 60 min pound down a 16 oz steak meal. This is the right level of sophistication without being too stuffy. American ingredients made with a French flare. A great dinner to relax with friends or a special occasion.
We selected the 6 course meal with wine pairings. It was an amazing dinner! The food was delectable and it was definitely enhanced with wine which were selected. Make reservations and give them a try. You won't be disappointed!
Everything great except would like a salad or other vegetable on the menu
Beautiful decor. Chairs were so comfortable. Waiter was attentive. Each dish was Instagram worthy and delightful to eat. We will be back and we will be recommending to friends and family looking for a perfect evening out!
Great spot for fine dining. Chef Remi does an excellent job.
In summary, dining at Opus is more than enjoying a meal; it's partaking in an unforgettable experience. Looking for Rockefeller's Rainbow Room? Skip the 65 floor elevator ride. Dine at Opus.
I can't say enough good things about Opus. Their attention to detail was amazing. Excellent staff, delectable food, and perfect atmosphere. Prepare to be amazed because they have surprises in store! As a former professor of Hospitality, I give them an A+!
Very well thought menu. Our meals were outstanding. Service was exceptional. Great dining room. Enjoyed talking with Chef after the meal. We will definitely return.
My husband and I did not realize Williams Bay had a new restaurant in town. We were excited to check out Opus at The Belfry House. We had no idea of what to expect and we were blown away by our experience at the restaurant. My husband said he looked forward all day to a romantic dinner at this new restaurant. We were thrilled the evening was so wonderful. When we walked in the front door, it instantly felt warm and cozy with sexy lighting, soothing aroma and a roaring fire. Social distancing was clearly in place with the lay out of the lobby and dining area. After a few minutes in front of fire, we were escorted into the dining area. It felt like we were among friends as the entire staff was so warm and welcoming. Both my husband and I were first wowed by simply sitting down at the table. The chairs were so comfortable. We have NEVER noticed chairs to stand out in a restaurant. These chairs definitely stood out and both of us took notice of the comfort. Another great detail was the waxed seal on the menu. (see photos) I have not seen a waxed seal for years! So simply breaking the seal, opening the menu and then seeing it was customized specifically with our name on top welcoming us to our Dinner Party continued to exceed our expectations. We could see the Chef and the staff preparing our meal. The waiter was AWESOME and assisted us in the perfect wine pairing for our dinners. They have over 300 different types of wine. The waiter took so much time with us, which made us feel so relaxed and not rushed. We looked forward to enjoying our dinner as we watched the pleased expressions of other dinner guests as they raved about their soup/entrees. We were not disappointed, the dinner was exceptional! Overall, this restaurant had the ambiance and relaxation of a spa experience that beautifully complimented an extraordinary Fine Dining experience. We are excited to try their "At Home" take out options as well. :) We will be back!
Food was excellent. Service was also excellent. Atmosphere is quiet and lovely.
Could use background music and pitcher of water on table.
I was looking forward to taking my husband for his 53rd Birthday. I had heard so many good reports about the Restaurant. The ambience was great, the people were very nice and accommodating, they greeted us as we walked in. The restaurant is very small only about 7 tables. but very nicely spread apart. The waitress and the servers were very professional and kind.
The food was a bit disappointing, the sweet corn soup I had was very watery with little flavor. For dinner we ordered the scallops, they were ok, but a little bland. There was not enough Pesto sauce, and the vegetable it was a type of corn cake was very dry. I did tell the waitress it was my husbands birthday, and we really don't expect a dessert for free, but being newly opened they should have a little something for celebrations. We have been too many very nice restaurants and have received a dessert, truffle or something for the special day. Since this restaurant is newly opened, I am hoping the food might improve as time goes on.
Second time to the Belfry and better than the first which was hard to outdo. They treated me like a princess. The chef offered me samples of items I did not even order. Again nothing like this place in WI.
Amazing. Absolutely wonderful. Attention to detail. The food was exceptional, creative, and delicious! We were comfortable with the casual elegance of the fine dining. Excellent wine selection.Unexpected luxury in Wallwerth county. Personalize service. Intimate dining room. Rooms in the Hotel were beautiful and upscale.
The breakfast was just ok. Had to send eggs back because they were not over easy and were still not cooked on top so I sent them back. Potatoes and bacon were over cooked, coffee was expensive...$6 per person. It was good, but $12 for coffee for 2 people is too much. Price for breakfast was a good price. Atmosphere is nice. Dinner menu very limited and prices are high.
We were lucky to discover the lovely opus dining room inside the Belfry House. The atmosphere was beautiful and cozy. We feasted on everything from the steak tartare, fillet, and striped bass, to the more unique venison chop. The cocktails were on point. The service was so welcoming. We were even greeted by the wonderful chef at the end of our exquisite meal. We will be back soon and be back often. Hats off to the new establishment
This simply was the best meal, experience ever in WI. I compare dining out to 30 yrs of living and finding quality food in Chgo. Remi's food and prep are in my top three. Will go back again and again.
A great new addition to Lake Geneva! We look forward to many more meals there and look forward to see how they grow this fine restaurant.. We were there the first week open and already impressive. Great chef, staff and ambience.
The food portion was very generous. The bacon and sausage were more well done to our liking but the taste was exceptional. We really enjoyed the breakfast overall. We had a mimosa and Bloody Mary, they were a little pricey. Service was very good and we were comfortable as far as safe distancing. We will come back.
We had breakfast which was a wonderful experience! Staff was extremely friendly and accommodating. Prices were a little high but food was superb. Will for sure return to your restaurant. We did experience a little tour of the hotel rooms absolutely phenomenal!
The food was wonderful. Great service very intimate setting we will definitely be back !
Thank you for a wonderful experience!! Very proud to see this beautiful venue!
Limited but varied menu! Our food was fabulous! Knowledgeable wait staff, house wines by the glass were excellent! Save room for dessert! Pricy buy every bite worth it!
Our server was not overly familiar with the menu (e.g., she thought there was a charge for each little pot of french press coffee); however, they had been opened only a few days. Otherwise, the service was great. And the food was delicious.
A wonderful new restaurant to not Miss! We look forward to our return visit very soon :-)
Opus is a beautiful, very welcomed addition to our end of the lake .
Every element and detail of our breakfast was perfect ....
and being an interior designer , I am very detailed oriented !
Loved it so much ... that made an immediate reservation for New Year’s Eve .. Barbara Schuld Adams
Beautiful setting, great food and service
Went on day 2 after opening. Opus will be a great dining edition to the Lake Geneva area; fabulous dinner.
Wow! We split our time between Chicago and the Delavan/Lake Geneva area. There are some good restaurants in this area of Wisconsin, but nothing of this caliber. We came just the second night they were open and it was already fantastic. They do not tout the background of the chef, but it is our understanding that he has received a Michelin star(s?) in the past. It shows. This is a real gem. I almost hate to write this review because I want to be able to get reservations in the future! But I want them to succeed as well and they certainly deserve to flourish. Major kudos!
