This was a bday celebration. They had flowers on table as gift. Each course was exceptional. Corn soup was amazing. Sweet bread and lobster were also very good. Lamb, carrot tart and dessert rounded out meal. Servings were not overwhelmingly large. Since there were 5 courses this was important. We were last reservation, at 7, but we were not rushed. Chef coming to table was a nice touch.
Dinner at Opus is a wonderful experience! The food is exquisite with a presentation that can only be described by by taking photographs. The staff is professional, yet interactive and congenial. You must experience Opus to appreciate fine dining.
It was a superb experience; tastes just explode in your mouth, and presentation eye popping. I haven’t had this type of dining experience since Charlie Trotters in Chicago. Will absolutely return.
Beautiful space with outstanding food and service. We are very lucky to have this fine dining gem right here in Delavan.
We celebrated my birthday and it was a really fun experience. It was a five course tasting menu and each course was wonderful. Dishes are gorgeous and so detailed! Very pricey and parking across a busy street
Exceptional dining experience at the highest level! We highly recommend Opus at The Belfry House! We were so impressed by the artistry on every plate! But it not only looked beautiful, every bite was flavorful and delicious! We also had excellent service and enjoyed a Chef’s visit to our table! The sommelier was knowledgeable and recommended the perfect wine to pair with our dinner! This restaurant makes any special occasion all the more special!
There aren't words enough to describe how amazing the experience was here. The food was beyond excellent. The service impeccable. I will DEFINITELY be visiting again
The entire experience was amazing! The presentation of the courses and wine paired with it had me in tears of joy. I loved the decor and how quiet it was. The staff was beyond attentive and the sommelier was knowledgeable and courteous. I can’t wait to go back! Perhaps this weekend!
Chef Phillipe is ingenious in his offerings. Truly exceptional. Our tastebuds danced with delight with each course. Not only is the food beautiful in presentation, the service with Arthur and Noel, brought the experience to new heights. Dreamy is what my wife said, “simply memorable and dreamy.”
We went to Opus with very high expectations which were met. The decor is lovely, modern farmhouse; it is a small space so feels more intimate. It’s a four course, prix fixe menu with an optional wine accompaniment menu. The food is what I would call “light French” delicious but not overwhelmingly rich. The presentation of the food is high art…simply extraordinarily beautiful! The only issue I had was that my duck was too raw for me but the lovely waitress whisked it away and had it cooked a little more.
I ordered the wine flight and had some of the best wines of my life. The selection is well thought out and displays an understanding of wine and food pairings. Definitely worth it!
Our waitress was charming…not intrusive but aware of our needs. The rest of the staff (sommelier and other staff) could not have been more professional while still being friendly and approachable.
We’ll be back!
Dining at Opus is simply exquisite. An all-encompassing event from the intimate dining room and table side Sommelier, to the Michelin star quality food and attentive service. The 5 course dinner has something for everyone’s palate and offers add-on’s and substitute course options. The details on each plate are beyond artistic and innovative. Our favorites included the savory sorbets and intricately finessed garnishes to accent the perfectly executed lobster, lamb, and wagyu beef. To complete the inviting ambience, Chef Chevalier was as charming and friendly as he is gifted, personally circulating to each table to introduce himself and check on every customer. His entire brigade plays an integral part in the flawless flow during service. What an irreplaceable experience on all levels. We will definitely be back!!
The dinner and experience were extraordinary. The food was not only delicious but it presented as beautiful works of art!
Perfect for foodies or a special occasion!! Opus is an absolute gem!! We are so lucky to have this amazing restaurant close by!! The food was amazing! The chef came to our table and introduced himself. The staff was top notch!! I highly recommend this special place!!
Everything was wonderful & a great experience!
We went for brunch. The food was outstanding.
Shhh. Wisconsin’s best kept secret. Until Michelin discovers it! Opus is definitely worth a special trip (and the nice thing is there’s an adorable boutique hotel attached to the restaurant so you can really enjoy the sommelier Noel’s perfect wine pairings!). The food is not only art but DELICIOUS. Every dish is the perfect compliment of flavors and beautifully creative. Dish after dish we thought the last one couldn’t be beaten, but were more blown away when the next course came out.
My only hesitation about posting this is Im afraid I’ll never get a table again when everyone discovers Opus.
If you’re looking for some where to celebrate a special occasion in our area or even if you have to travel a little this is place.
Well worth the $450.00
Couldn’t have been better. This is a hidden gem!
Awesome food! Very fancy! Expensive!
Chef Philipe Chevalier is a new bright star in the culinary world of Wisconsin! The drive to Delavan is more than worth the delightful meals prepared by him at Opus! Treat yourself, and I promise, you'll be back again and again!
My husband and I have been twice and it has not disappointed. The food and wine pairings are excellent. A true gem in Walworth County!
Beautiful dining room with a view of the chef creating elegant and delicious entrees! Pristine presentation, so pristine I felt bad (well, only a little) devouring these creations! Upscale dining without a pretentious feel. The wine pairing was on point. Staff were attentive without being intrusive. An adventurous and delightful experience! Will definitely be back.
Excellent addition to the restaurant scene in LG and Delavan. We’ll be back.
When we heard about Opus, we were anxious to try it. It did not disappoint. Our server, Kelsey, was very attentive. The sommelier is extremely knowledgeable, and his pairings were excellent. We enjoyed the four-course prix fixe menu, and found it thoughtfully prepared; portions were in the French style, which meant we could enjoy each course without feeling like we were stuffed. My chocolate souffle (additional charge) was perfect. Lake Geneva was in desperate need of a new fine dining experience, and Opus has risen to the occasion. My only complaint is we were slightly confused on where on the property the restaurant was located; signage would be helpful. A wonderful dining experience; we will return.
A wonderful experience! Food was thoughtfully prepared and presented. Our server was attentive and knowledgeable. Will be back!
Hidden gem! Outstanding service and unbelievable food. We dined at this restaurant 2 times and each experience was consistently perfect. Our server took the time to get to know us personally and was genuine and exceptional. The Chef went out of his way to check on each table during dinner. He was very professional and interested in our dining experience.
Dining at this restaurant will transport you to a beautiful little European town. From the glassware, table setting and personalized scroll menu it will leave you wanting to come back again. The food combinations and flavor profiles were unique, delicious and plated as gorgeous artwork. Looking forward to my next visit here this month.
Very upscale dining concept in Delavan. Excellent prix fixe menu options. Attentive service.
Everything was wonderful. We will definitely be back!
Another stunning dinner from chef Philippe. Everything was cooked to perfection, and the plating was just gorgeous. Fine dining at its best- tried to make a reservations soon as we left and it was booked up- I can see why. If you can get a reservation here, I highly recommend it!
Energetic is not the term I would give for the noise level at this restaurant. Unfortunately the noise level was distracting. As there is not enough sound absorption to create a quiet atmosphere. You are providing a very sophisticated menu with excellent service. And excellent food. But because of your situation we were hearing conversations three tables away from us.
Everything was of utmost perfection. We felt nurtured, enjoyed food and drink combinations that made the meal come alive, artfully beautiful platings, delicious and distinctive flavors, and literally the best experience - and we enjoy fine dining and have enjoyed fine restaurants all over the world. The chefs obviously put their passion and love into every dish created. Loved it immensly!
Wonderful, intimate dining. Went for our anniversary. Attentive and friendly staff, wonderful food that is artfully prepared- a special dining experience from start to finish. Pamper yourself and go! We will return.
Easter Sunday Brunch, outstanding food, great service. Chef came over to the table and discussed the menu with us. Will be back!
Deserves a Michelin star without question!
This was a 10! We went for our Anniversary and they even had flowers for us. Fabulous service and amazing food and wine pairing. We will be back! Thank you Kristin Ans Stuart Arnett
Fantastic atmosphere, service and the food was to die for!! The chef and pastry chefs deserve awards!!
Phenomenal 6 course wine paired dinner. Best dining experience in Lake Geneva, hands down. And stands up to some of the best restaurants anywhere. And we have traveled to world to dine at many of the best restaurants globally!
Wow French dining in Williams Bay WI. Just opened a few months ago and they have a new chef from France. We chose the 3 course meal which started with a complimentary glass of champagne. The food was very complex and you could taste all the layers of flavors. Exceptional preparation and an eye on the details of each plate down to the edible flower petals. The value is incredible compared to the mostly overpriced big city restaurants. Also try the wine pairings, it’s worth it.
Don’t expect a 60 min pound down a 16 oz steak meal. This is the right level of sophistication without being too stuffy. American ingredients made with a French flare. A great dinner to relax with friends or a special occasion.
We selected the 6 course meal with wine pairings. It was an amazing dinner! The food was delectable and it was definitely enhanced with wine which were selected. Make reservations and give them a try. You won't be disappointed!
