Standing out from the crowd, our 400-seater restaurant is housed in a grand Grade II listed building featuring a distinct neoclassical Greek façade and mixes an industrial look with a touch of opulence inside. Opera Grill brings theatre on a grand scale to Chester. At the heart of our menu is the theatre charcoal grill and wood-burning ovens, inspired by revered chefs and restaurants from around the world. The entertainment continues in a first-floor Music Gallery featuring a stage set for live acts every Friday, and a mix of soulful classics performed by our gospel choir every Sunday.
The distinctive spaces in Opera Grill are all available for hire for meetings, conferences and special events with bespoke menus and entertainment packages.

We have limited disabled access, the 1st floor and terrace is not wheelchair accessible.

Always a great Sunday lunch and excellent customer service from the manager. Rare issue with food but dealt with very quickly and no fuss.

Lovely welcome at the door, excellent entertainment and very good food. Cocktails are my fave here and guy who makes the bartender is very proficient.

Forgot the starters, meal came same time as the starter and it was cold they did replace it but had to wait another 50 minutes and it was greasy and not very nice for a T-bone steak, sauce look warm too. Over all experience very disappointing as I was celebrating my birthday. We left before the end of the show.

Food and atmosphere with live music was lovely however there was only one server on the whole floor we waited over 30minutes between our starter and main and got witnessed the wrong food being brought the the wrong table 2x which worried us in regards to our food. If there were more servers on the floor I feel it would have been flawless however service was slow and we had to rush our food as we had a reservation at 9pm *we arrived at 7pm and our main didn’t arrive until 8:30pm

The service and ambience were excellent. The food presentation was very good but the food was very disappointing. Black Miso Cod was very dry, the sea bass in the ceviche was not diced properly and was missing the tiger’s milk impact. The burgers were very dry and the raccalette with ox cheek was over grilled. The Sashimi was excellent. The rice in the miso aubergine was undercooked. The cote de boeuf was very good. It’s a beautiful restaurant but definitely needs a better food service.

Luke warm/cold food, waited nearly 45 minutes for the main course and I had to ask why there was a delay. Music was a tinny don’t know what sound system they were using.
