My girlfriend and I enjoyed the pre-chosen menu. We got to try a bit of everything and didn't have to stress about what food to order. Would strongly recommend!
Cute little brunch place. Perfect for a girls brunch!
Overall poor service but good quality of food.
I got a wrong to go box and I found that when I got home. and so many mistakes about dishes like they didn’t put sauce on the salad even through other one’s had, they didn’t give us utensils.
It’s not worth paying tips.
With appointment at 12pm, we are the first arrive, but the person take other to seats first. The Rib is not good, sides and pie tastes good, after finish the meal, it is not worth 90 dollars! I am still hungry, bad service, not coming again!
Food was pretty good, some great dishes, some mediocre ones. Forgot the sausages we ordered but there was too much food anyways and off the bill. The setting is really nice but I suggest changing the chairs. They scrape often against the rock floor and it gets pretty screechy.
The food was AMAZING. The room is drop dead beautiful, and the service staff was truly professional! We loved it!
Beautiful restaurant in Korea Town located in the The Line Hotel. The bartender was rude but the GM made it up by comping us cocktails. The service needs improvement but the ambience was nice before the concert. The food was lackluster. Needs more bang for your buck.
It was hard to find as I did not realize that the restaurant was inside a hotel. Even though the Open Table description shows a happy hour in the afternoon, it is for a dark and drafty hotel lobby bar, but the restaurant and its own bar opens only at 5.30pm. The restaurant is cute but it is a real green house so when they opened the doors at 5.30, it felt very stuffy-humid and smelled like animal manure. Not very romantic! The good was of good quality, expected for the price, but nothing what I will return for. The bummer was a big tag and a very long line at the car valet. We almost missed our show. So between the smell and valet issue, the experience was rather spoiled. Sorry, Open Air!
Had a reservation. Arrived on time, was sat promptly outside.
After the second attempt on heating lamps to warm us, the heating lamp made me dump my leather coat.
Service was great and was surprised by the depth of each plate.
Had a drink in the bar after dinner. Pretty greenhouse vibes inside.
Would return.
The restaurant is gorgeous! The service from James was top notch👌 He was informative and sweet, and let us enjoy our conversation but was always there when needed. Sad but lunch food wasn’t impressive - neither the flavor or presentation... Except for the dessert - poached pair exceeded the expectations! I will come back but only for a happy hour/dessert/snack.
Openaire was such a good restaurant! The food was delicious and the staff was friendly. Only thing was a tad bit overpriced but when you are surrounded with good energy and good food, you disregard the prices!
What a beautiful venue! We came to celebrate my birthday & originally thought we wanted to sit outside since it was a comfortable evening but after seeing the beautiful plants & greenhouse vibe of inside, we sat inside. The menu looked delicious & we both went with the tasting menu - what a great choice!! So many dishes to share & all with delicious combinations of foods, seasonings & textures. Between the beef & fish entrees, the fish was our favorite. Their coffee is amazing & perfectly complimented the chocolate desert. We could not eat all of the food & the price was very reasonable. We will definitely be back!
Chris was so fun and made our experience unique! He also gave us great recommendations.
I was looking for spots to eat at in LA and stumbled upon Openaire. I was blown away by the plates and the overall atmosphere of the restaurant.
I made reservations via Opentable (HIGHLY RECOMMEND) for Sunday Nov. 17 for 2. Openaire is located in the Line Hotel.
We did find street parking on Sunday around 10:15am, so I cannot speak for the valet. It was a short walk to the Line Hotel. As you walk passed the check in counter the elevators will take you to the restaurant. We got seated almost immediately outside. We were surrounded by lush plants and hummingbirds. So beautiful! The inside has greenhouse vibes, and the outside has plenty of tables covered by umbrellas.
I ordered the Bloody Mary (extra spicy) and it was so tasty.
My boyfriend ordered the Salmon Benedict, it comes with a small salad and potatoes. I ordered the French Toast. Both our plates came out hot and tasty. The Bloody Mary was really good (a little on the salty side) but still really yummy.
OMG my French toast was amazing, the crust was perfect and there was just a great amount of drizzle and bananas. My bf's plate was so great as well. I kept stealing his potatoes they were super crunchy and delicious. His salmon Benedict was amazing as well.
The service was just great! They came back to fill our sparkling waters and made sure we were happy with our food.
I will def come back again to try other brunch plates.
Our server was so amazing, food was great, and we had a great experience in the greenhouse. Super flexible even though we were late for our reservation!
This space is beautiful, the same as the previous occupant, Commissary, which was a superior restaurant. The food is decent. The kale salad and salmon were delicious. Food was dropped without explanation. We waited 30 minutes for drinks due to “an accident” at the bar, then they charged us full price. About 6 different people (waiters? Bussers?) came to our table intermittently and we never knew who to ask for help. Overall, the service seemed erratic and not up to the level of restaurant. We were seeing a show at the Wiltern, and there aren’t a lot of choices nearby, so It’s fine for those purposes but this is not a destination spot.
Amazing food. Horrible service. Our server was “nice” but provided dismal service - disappointing.
We had a reservation for our anniversary dinner. We arrived a few minutes early and they waited to seat us for about 5 minutes even though there appeared to be open tables. Service was very good and attentive without being cloying. We had a cocktail apiece - both were very good. We ordered 3 appetizers which came out in rapid succession. My biggest complaint is that the pacing was too fast. In fact our mains arrived well before we were ready and they were sent back to the warmers. Shrimp toast and octopus were very tasty and tapas sized for two. The roasted mushrooms were also good with that depth of umami flavor. Our mains were tagliatelle with duck ragu. The flavor was good as was the portion size, but it was a bit too oily for our feeling. We could not tell if this was due to being warmed. The beef with yuzu was spectacular. We had a glass of wine with dinner which was a lighter pour, but good quality. Our dessert was the chocolate cake which was again recommended and delicious. Atmosphere was lovely. Noise was moderate. We would return.
The hosts took a good five minutes to acknowledge us when we arrived despite there being three of them standing at the entrance. The $10 vegan sausage was 3/4 of a beyond burger with zero seasoning. We were told by the server that they have a vegan egg, but when we asked if it could be used in the Huevos Rancheros, we were told it would turn out dry and not given any alternate suggestions. The honey nut squash roast was a very good starter, but it was disappointing that the server wasn’t able to help two of us figure out a vegan entree option. Our friends got the chicken and waffles and the eggs Benedict and said they were fine.
I very much enjoyed the entire atmosphere of the restaurant, however, I found the noise level to be overwhelming at it made conversation at the table very difficult to understand.
You cannot find a more beautiful setting that is away from the beach in LA! The atrium that you sit in, with plants hanging from every corner, and the natural light that shines in...it just beautiful. The food did not disappoint. and we also had a very kind/sweet waitress. I would definitely return!
One of the best meals I've had in years. Every item was impeccable! The Brussel Sprouts were epic. I don't care for chocolate and the chocolate cake was perfection. Bravo!
Service was very friendly and attentive. Showed very good teamwork with the staff.
The halibut, octopus and Brussels sprouts were outstanding. The tuna tatake was very good. However, the duck ragout was just ok.
That doesn’t take away from the overall experience. The dishes were simply inventive and delicious.
The restaurant is famous than the hotel. Good service and good taste food.
Please give Steven a huge raise. He was amazing! Great space, lovely vibe, peaceful, good food. Thank you!
gorgeous place for brunch! service was super nice! be sure to make a reservation ahead of time for the best experience!
Incredible ambiance with great food and great drinks. I highly recommend the Tuna Tartare.
The food was so good the service was great .... after you can you the club next door
Loved this place! Food was AHmazing in an awesome garden ambience...servers were delightful! xoxo
Went for brunch. Great food. Outstanding service. We were a group of four. Everyone was very happy with the food and experience. And wanting to try the place for dinner. Compliments to everyone.
Ambiance was amazing, service was great. I ordered the salmon with a side of whipped potatoes and it was so tasty. Would definitely come here again
I had a reservation but they didn’t have a table ready for 20 minutes. They gave free champagne though.
Great place to meet up for a business lunch, roughly mid-way between DTLA and Bev Hills/CC.
It was a bit overpriced for the simple dishes and drink prices compared to another restaurant near by were a lot higher. They added a 4% charge to pay for employee health insurance which you could request to remove but it was a bit silly to me. The venue itself was gorgeous so picture worthy for sure.
Fantastic evening in a lovely environment. The food was delicious as well!
Super cute ambiance/very instagramable. The food is very well presented and tasty but nothing life changing. The bottle of wine we ordered was somewhat hard to open, and the cork broke, and a piece of cork made it’s way into my glass. Other than that i would recommend this place to anyone :)
I have been eyeing this spot all year. And it is SUCH A VIBE. It’s exactly what I expected. The set up is really fly for a lack of better words. And it’s not just Instagramable, the food is delicious the service is great. We went for brunch and the mimosas are LARGE and it’s a true mimosa not a lot of OJ just like I like it! Also, we were late for our reservation and Alejandro still got my party sat within 5 mins of arriving. Major thank you because it was so busy the group in front of us were told it would be and hour to an hour and a half wait. He really saved me because I had friends in from out of town and we had an itinerary to stick to. The whole experience was great, and I received so many questions from my followers about where I was when I posted to my social media. Its got my stamp of approval that’s for sure. You won’t be disappointed!!!
Love this place!! Food was amazing, ambiance was wonderful (we at outside) and the service was top notch!
Celebrated friend’s birthday
I hope Openaire will be around for a long time. My party and I are already looking forward to a 2nd visit soon.
