Openaire

We were seated outside, the server did not give us any attention, especially with us being in direct sun for a long time, even though we asked to switch seats. The mimosas were not being filled up as often as they should have been. It is not worth it unless you're sitting inside. Overpriced and terrible service
It was OK, and not a great value for the price. We had iced coffee and decaf coffee and both were just average. We had avocado toast and huevos rancheros, and it was just average as well. AV could've been more flavorful. To be honest, huevos rancheros portions were a bit too small, but it wasn't too bad.
All that said, pretty place inside and quiet, but wouldn't recommend. Valet parking's expensive, and the hotel is a bit on the older side than contemporary.
Food was excellent, loved the atmosphere. Drinks were sweet but gave us a headache after.
We arrived early and there was no hostess. After flagging a few people we finally got someone to help us out. I was very clear that I had made my reservation through open table, they found it, saw my special request. Soon after, I got an email from Open Table chastising me for not honoring my reservation. Not cool.
Our family of four had a fabulous meal at Openaire while visiting LA. Lured in by the beautiful ambiance, the food was just as
Impressive. Two of us had the prix fixe meal while the other two ordered a la carte. There were so many standouts, it’s hard to pick just a few but here goes: the kale salad and little gem salad, the octopus, the cod, the fried rice and the steak. Finally, the service here was tremendous. We had an excellent waiter and also benefited from a little TLC from Assistant Manager Salas who went above and beyond to ensure we were all happy with our meals, sending extra items and making expert food and beverage recommendations. This restaurant is fabulous in every way. If we lived closer, it would be our go-to spot.
Everything was great,
Only little annoying part was our original server was a little enthusiastic in recommending wines, when had just sat down & literally had no time to even glance at the drink menu.
He was polite just a tad too much.
We waited an hour for our food. Groups around us that arrived at the same time or after were all getting served. When our food finally did come out, one dish had hair in it. The rest of the food was good. Our server was very apologetic and we know it was not his fault. We had to rush out because we waited so long we were almost late to check out of our hotel. It is a pretty restaurant, but that was its best quality during our visit.
Menu is super limited. Portions are small and overpriced. Beautiful venue. Wouldn’t come back for dinner but brunch sounds better (read: less pretentious). Lots of other great (better) veggie driven restaurants around here. Was kind of disappointed to be honest. Could’ve gone to Gracias Madre and been happier. Sorry :/
The food was AMAZING. I had the Grilled Cheese and Tomato Soup. OMG! My wife had the Mediterranean Chicken wrap, and it was perfect. We sat outside by the pool. Great views and ambiance. The only issue was. That the service was very slow, evenb thou they were not busy. Plus, I had to pay $12.00 for valet parking, even thou the restaurant validated my ticket. I spent $75.00 in total, not including parking. Expensive is an understatement.
Food was amazing, however the service wasn't the best. Food took a little longer and drinks as well. Although we were offered a complimentary mimosa due to the wait of our other drinks. Food was tasty, and okay priced for what it was. I would still recommend this to people.
More of an Instagram restaurant than an actual restaurant. The food was okay: the cart items were a little stale, the entrees were fine. But at this price point, what you're paying for is the gorgeous ambiance and the people-watching.
This was one of the best dining experiences I've ever had. The restaurant was absolutely stunning and the food was incredible. This might be my new favorite spot, I will definitely be returning.
Horrific service
I was so excited to finally go to Openaire. The Ambieance looks really cool in a hip part of Ktown. I liked the convenience of booking online because when I have called, the phone just rings without answer, so online booking is a much better choice. Liked the music and ambiance. You get 5 stars on coffee and drinks, but the service was poor and the food mediocre. I order the Bulgogi Hash which was presented nicely but the taste was horrible. Didn't even finished 1/3 of my plate since it was way too salty, too many condiments, maybe to add flavor but taste too salty and my girlfriend ordered the Maine lobster club sandwich which the mayo was too bitter. Overall it was a disappointment since the decor and ambiance is beautiful and should be a place where people would love to want to go. I would recommend the place for coffee and drinks but not food.
Cool space, but boring / Same-Old New American Fare that looked good, tasted uninspiring, and cost a lot. If you're looking to see/be seen, then just go for the bar and skip the $70+ per person tab.
Beautiful environment and great food
The food was delicious my partner and I went to celebrate our 10 year anniversary. We attended brunch and did the 55 deal with the cart, entree and bottomless cocktails. When we first arrived we were seated outside because I had requested it, but the table available outside was whack. My boyfriend and I decided to sit inside on the communal table. I feel like the host should have done a better job at reserving a nice table for us. Upon seating we waited at least 10 minutes to be greeted drinks were an extra 15 as well as the cart that goes around with goodies. We just waited to long for service and it was not even busy!
Openaire is the perfect place to be on a nice and sunny day.
The ambiance is great and the food was delicious.
Drinks were tasteful a perfect match with an outdoor view.
Went for my friend’s birthday brunch. I was drawn in by the photo opportunities and was pleasantly surprised to find out that the food and service was great as well! Will be back soon!
Beautiful setting. Great breakfast! Nice oasis in the city.
Wonderful went with girlfriends.
We went for dinner on a Saturday night and the food was amazing and the restaurant is beautiful. However, the first thing we noticed was how crazy loud it was. It was only 6:30 at night so it wasn't like a bunch of people were in the bar or anything. We also made a reservations and were given a table at the front door and was freezing. Every time the door opened -- we knew.
The restaurant is nice and the ambiance is amazing, but you have to valet at the Line hotel and it’s 13.50. Add that to your already $150 bill if for two people. The waitress was extremely friendly and sweet, but I didn’t care for the European style seating. Overall good experience. The food was delicious but I really needed salt .
We had our anniversary here and they took complete care of us. We stay at the Line hotel every year for our anniversary and we went down to the bar for cocktails the night we arrived. The restaurant used to be the commissary but we wanted to give the new place a shot. Of course we had delicious drinks and started chatting with the bartenders. We told them our story and how we had reservations the following night before catching a concert at the Wiltern Theater down the street.
We showed up and were seated pretty quickly. I was waiting for my date to come down from the room and when she showed up they gave us champagne and toasted our anniversary. The wait staff was very knowledgeable about their menu and offered up their favorites and what would pair with our after champagne cocktails. Everything was perfect and we have found our new spot in something familiar for years to come. Thank you so much Chef and thank you Openaire.
No attention to service, food served cold, dining area is loud and cold.
Great food and vibes
Whether you are into communal dining, drinks at a bar, lounging or regular seating, you will find all this and more here. The main seating area is in what could be called a glass-enclosed conservatory. The food is excellent and the wait staff knowledgeable about the food and cocktails and willing to provide suggestions to suit all manner of mood and desire. Highly recommend and was impressed that 4% was added on to accommodate a health plan for the staff.
Very noisy
Beautiful location, subpar food but location is gorgeous. Would expect better food value for money though.
Birthday brunch for my friend Rachel
We were told to wait 20-25 min for a table, and didn't ultimately get seated for another 45 min. Poor communication from the staff and I honestly wouldn't have waited 50 min for lunch.
Food was ok. Beautiful presentation but way overpriced. My friend got a dish that was a glorified salad with some seared tuna on top for $22
Overall, Openaire was pretty tasty. We have issues at the beginning with our hostess never seating us and me having to remind her that we were still waiting (even with a reservation made). Once we were finally seated, the service was extremely slow having to wait on our waitress to address us, then wait over 15 minutes for drinks. Finally we got a new waiter and he was much better. Our experience wasn't terrible, but the negatives definitely stuck out to our table. There are too many great restaurants in LA to not pay attention to the small details. People will go elsewhere if you're not up to par.
Great place, to say the least
The food was delicious, but the portions were too small for my liking.
The food was average. For what was spent here, I wouldn’t recommend.
Innovative but very accessible food from Chef Josiah Citrin that compliments his successes at his restaurants Melisse and Charcoal Venice. Every dish was great- especially the tagliatelle to share for the table. Shout out to our super professional and appealing waiter. The space itself is a fashioned as a romantic hothouse. Highly recommend.
more from the mind to mouth, from Citrin's inventive culinary brain to our bodies, passing through those sensory buds that make us happy and want to return.
Had good experiences with dinner and brunch there, but was very diappointed with the lunch. Had banh mi, but baquette crust was not crispy. Club sandwich was ok, but not special. Cobb salad tasted like club sandwich and did not like the dressing at all. Only good dish was the burrata and asian pairs. What a pity because the space is perfect for lunch.
Cousins birthday
It's a beautiful restaurant, the buffet cart has very small portion and doesn't come around often enough and a few times some of the food was missing.
The service was excellent and very courteous, it was very noisy inside, as we left we regretted not eating outside, it was also a bit cold inside.
Overall, nice experience and will come back
