awesome dine LA menu. Food was amazing! The charcoal marg was the best
The food was absolutely delicious, the restaurant was beautiful and the portions/quality matched the prices. However I noticed the service was subpar. I noticed a table next to ours was overcharged on their bill, because our waiter (or anyone else for that matter) didn’t ask how our food was I was left without a spoon for my soup, and our waiter charged us four dollars for a soda water with lime. The soda water up charge left a bad taste after a delicious meal.
Very price but the foods were not that good. The foods quality did not meet what I paid.
Food was decent but not worth the price. Salmon was salty. No service.
Wonderful experience. Chef E. Was just amazing. Food was incredible. We had the duck and for dessert we had a wonderful delicious pear dessert. Our server Jennifer was completely amazing. She was super friendly and attentive towards us without hovering. Jennifer took wonder care of us. Overall a great experience.
We were seated outside although the reservation was for Standard seating.
The food was not impressive for the price they charge. The salad served with my omelet tasted as if it's been seating there for a while. My friend's stake was a bit too chewy.
It took a pretty long time for the servers to notice that we're ready for the check. They're too busy it's hard to even make eye contact.
For the price and all the hype, we expected a little something as it's a birthday reservation. Overall we felt like they would need more people to take care of those little details. I'm just saying this judging from the expectation that was set from their repute.
Left before even ordering. Not a very good impression of the staff and where they sat us was the most uncomfortable spot. Had to squeeze through to sit.
During our visit we ordered 3 prix fixe dinners from the January 2020 Dine LA dinner menu and were informed that they will be served in "family style". When we noticed that the amount of the portions seemed to be barely enough for 2 servings and voiced our concern/complain the manager on duty was not at all interested to hear us out and showed no attempt to address the situation and keep us satisfied. Thanks to Dine LA I now know exactly how this establishment is being run and managed. With amount of dining choices we have in LA there is NO reason what so over for me to return to this place.
Was the perfect spot for a brunch on a long holiday weekend.
The staff was amazing. The food very good but cold. I’ll come back and hope it’ll be warm next time. A great experience for my friends birthday
Amazing food and customer service. Beautiful place. Would always recommend people to come here.
Where do I begin?! I decided to treat my man to Openaire for Dine LA. The scenery was beautiful at night and our server was nice. When we arrived at our table the Dine LA Menu didn't fancy us so I told him to get whatever he wants. We ordered two appetizers and then our main course.
The server took our order and then we never saw her again til the bill came. Each order was brought out from a different person. When my main entree came out (the black cod), my man didn't receive his order (lamp chops) til 20 mins later. No apologies..... funny part, while we were eating our main dishes, our apperizters (same ones) came out again (separate times). How did our appetizer order came out again? I do not know it was just bad management that night or their software system was off?
When we finished our meals the server dropped off the dessert menu (so happy we are not sweet eaters) because we didn't see her for another 20 minutes.
Great part... the bill came. I noticed the sales tax ($12, reasonable) and then I saw another sales tax ($7), and then another tax, and a tourism tax (?) and finally the healthcare tax 4% (reasonable as well).
Long story short.. it was just eh.
I would recommend but only for the ambiance. The food was overpriced and not that great
The food was great. There was not an extensive drink menu and none of the drinks really sounded appetizing to me and they were pricy ($16 each). The food was excellent but also on the pricier side ($22 for pancakes, bacon and eggs). I would go again for a fancy occasion thought.
It was for my friend’s birthday. Plus it was the first day of 2020 DineLA. How exciting! The food wasn’t anything spectacular. Everything else like the service and the ambience etc were just A-ok.
Everything come out perfect and the atmosphere is nice and quite
Beautiful ambiance to celebrate my friend’s birthday. The food was very tasty and our server Josh has to be commended for taking amazing care of us. Our experience was made infinitely better because of him. Thank you Josh!
Very cute vibe if you are "inside the big tent" but we were seated outside which almost seemed like overflow seating. Our rsvp was for 1145, didn't seat us until 1215. Not a huge deal, we didn't mind chatting. Food was the big miss for us. Cold, bland and def not worth that price for breakfast. Go for the cute insta photos and a drink but don't stay for the food. Service was good.
Food was luke warm, at best. Some was tasty...not particularly special. The waitress was very nice, but not particularly attentive to us...coffee went in-refilled for long periods of time, food took a long time to get to us (maybe server did not pick it up to deliver to us for a long period leaving it to get cold), we could not find our waiter to pay bill when we were done and we needed a to go box and clearly wanted to get going and our server became uncomfortable and rather than going to get us the to go box...became obsessed with clearing our table. Probably not great training and perhaps not well staffed for a larger brunch crowd. Prices were high for what we got.
We had the choice to choose indoor or outdoor. We waited for about 10 min standing in front of people. The servers didnt care they will just smile at us even though we were blocking there menu entrance. It's so beautiful inside! On sundays outside parking is FREE.
Foods wasn’t good. Waste money . Inside was pretty and nice .
The food was not that great and the service was terrible. Our waiter never came and checked on us then left without telling anyone. We had to flag down another waiter who was just as bad. Would not recommend!
Great place to eat breakfast
The service was truly outstanding and impeccable, leaving us impressed. Food was also great! The freshly baked sourdough & truffle butter...rendered us near speechless.
The manager & staff is to be commended for their attentiveness.
Highly recommended. Will be back for brunch! Thank you!
A delicious breakfast !
Food ,drinks and the service was amazing.. Will definitely be back
Lack of service. Had brunch, food was ok, waffle was cold n soggy.
Food and drinks were delicious, service was great and the interior was stylish. A bit overpriced compared to other similar restaurants I’ve been too, but a good place if you want to splurge on brunch a bit.
The food here is absolutely outstanding - everything we tried was better than the last. The service left a bit to be desired, as the waiter was a bit too absent and the pacing of the dishes was a disaster (everything came within a few minutes of each other, filling our tiny table).
But the food was so good that we left happy. Worth trying even with the difficult price point.
The dining area in the greenhouse is gorgeous, and the whole ambiance is lovely, but the food wasn’t spectacular for the price. Coffee was poor. I would maybe get just drinks at the bar there next time.
This is for a 5 course nye tasting menu an wine pairing.
The food and wine were excellent. Not unlike what would be served at Mr. Citrin's Melisse.
The service was adequate, however for a meal that comes up to over $500 for 2
with tax and tip, the staff should be more knowledgeable about the wine and dishes they are serving. I have not dined at OpenAire on the regular menu and the staff may be knowledgeable enough for that, but for 5 star Melisse quality food the staff could have been more knowledgeable and professional to justify the price point.
Always a wonderful experience. Great service, great food, no matter what day, time, or what occasion:)
Hostess provided horrible service and ruined the entire experience. However the bottomless drinks are a must.
Friendly service and delicious bottomless/ food!!
It was great, the food was spectacular, the service was on point and the ambiance was perfect. Thank you!!
The environmental are wonderful. Food are super delicious! But it was too noisy. I couldn’t hear anything when my family talking and I have to raise my voice up. I think the music volume they played that day was too loud.
We had 5 people in our group having breakfast the other day, 2 adults 2 kids and a baby. the breakfast was pretty mediocre for a 150$ cost (just food). not going back there again.
For a night out on the town or a nice getaway along Wilshire, this venue was an excellent choice. I will say that this venue is more upscale, so the prices are higher. Also, being in more of the heart of the city, there is some urban ambiance. Similar to a high rise stay in New York. Date night with the wife and I was fantastic! Thank for for the wonderful service and superb food quality.
My husband and I love the Line Hotel and their restaurants are usually amazing. However, we were a bit disappointment with Openaire for dinner service. I think we would have enjoyed brunch more with the ability to get the full effect of the green house and less pressure the for food quality to be amazing. Our main issue came when our waiter forgot about us. After attempt to flag him down the manager noticed us and asked how our evening was going. We said we had been waiting on a check for roughly 30 minutes. He had someone bring us our bill then that person forgot to come back and collect it. Finally we cashed out at the bar. Please keep in mind we were two of 18 guests dinning that evening. It was also very hard to read the menu with such low light. We got out our cell phones to see, which kinda ruins the effect they are going for. Overall a frustrating experience with just okay food. However, I truly believe restaurants and teams have off nights so this could have just been an off night.
