Friendly staff. Food was not the best but still very tasty.
I think for value, it's a little overpriced.
But overall a good experience!!
This was a fun outing for us! Before coming here I was told my a friend that the food was pretty good, that they had amazing cocktails, but their service wasn't the best. That was exactly our experience too. The food was really great, but a little pricey. The cocktails were totally amazing. But the service really lagged! Our servers were perfectly nice. But they seemed a little disorganized, we didn't get everything we ordered and often times our food was pretty delayed. They seemed to have plenty of staff, so we didn't understand the lack of attentiveness.
I would definitely come here again, if I had some money to spend and some time on my hands.
Josiah Citrin gave us 20 great years at Melisse. Now he brings us Openaire.
Service was excellent. Dani was our server and she was an absolute pleasure. The entire staff was great. The Snake River Sirloin was amazing.
Excellent service, beautiful ambiance and great good.
The service could be defined as more of a sophisticated taste. The food pairings were quite genius and very well balanced. For instance, the Hamachi appetizer showcases the delicate sashimi with dashes of citrus. The portion was just enough for three people, but definitely could have been more on the plate for that price ($21)
Went there for my bf’s birthday. Mentioned that in the reservation, they said Happy birthday when we arrived, even had a birthday card on the table, how sweet!
Honestly, with such a beautiful environment, I don’t have much expectation about their food, but it’s amazingly delicious! My bf had a chicken wrap, he said the chicken mixed with grape and apple are so fresh and tasty. My chicken noodle soup was good too! They have grilled chicken, spinach, diced carrot, mushroom, squash and potatoes in the soup, made it so colorful and rich of taste. And with the super friendly staff, we had a great birthday lunch! Thanks to the openaire team.
Food for everything from date to special. The service was
Lovely. The hamachi was delicious. We liked everything.
The place was amazing, I really loved the green house plants astitic, the food was tasty, different, and very fresh. the staff were very friendly and attentive. My wife and I came here for our anniversary and all the staff came by individually to congratulate us. They also wrote us a really cute card and brought over two glasses of Champagne On the house. It was a really great vibe and experience.
Great vibes and great food!!! Highly recommend.
This place this awesome! The waiters are some of the nicest people ever, low key regret not getting the food cart option but I’ll be back so no worries.
Brunch menu ends at 11:30 am during the week. Lunch options were somewhat limited to typical hotel faire. Cobb salad was good, but overpriced for the portion. Restaurant ran out of straws, so had to chug my mocktail straight out of the glass. Not sure if I’ll come back for the brunch.
Service was terrible. 10min for a waiter to come. Entrees thrown on the table only 2min after we got our starters. Then it took 25min for them to serve desserts with but one wrong and the other one missing. The GM spontaneously took out the charges for the starters and the desserts. Nice gesture but he needs to get his staff and kitchen in order.
I really enjoyed dining here with my friend over the New Year's weekend. The ambiance is very inviting and I enjoyed the customer service we received. The food is small plate so just know that your bill may reflect that if you are hungry for more than a quick bite.
Nice place, good ambiance, good food can be better, great customer service, valet parking is expensive ($13) since the restaurant is in a hotel and because it’s tough to find street parking. Overall good.
Although the Ambiance and the food was excellent the food took forever to come out and we paid over $100 for a five-course meal and we left hungry. The restaurant was also very loud and there were a lot of people that came in just for the bar. If you're paying $135 for a five-course meal you expect to have a quieter more romantic ambiance even on NYE. It took close to an hour just for us to get our first course and then our second and third quarters were served out of order. The plates were so small they were literally just three to four bites. Surprisingly alcohol was not included in the price and I paid $16 for a glass of wine which I was able to get for $10 in the downstairs bar. As stated on multiple reviews on Yelp the food is good but it is way too expensive. I wish I had read those reviews before I made my reservation. The manager and servers were very friendly and courteous and extremely apologetic but overall the experience was very disappointing.
NYE dinner was great!
Food wasn't that great for the price, but place looks gorgeous.
Chef Josiah Citrin did it AGAIN. The level of excellence in the food preparation, delivery and execution is delightful. The whole fish was flavorful and beautifully executed.. we would only suggest the head be removed. The ambiance is cool and the lighting could be better, we could barely see some food items and needed our IPhone flashlight to peruse the menu. Still.. Chef is the culinary artist to follow. I'll choose any restaurant of his over other options every time. Congrats Chef. Between Melisse, Charcoal and now Openaire.. we have our 3 top picks again this year. Thank you for raising the bar with exquisite and precise choices and preparations. J'adore this Chef. Oh.. and Matt the somm has made unique, interesting and as usual.. perfect selections for wine pairing and enjoyment. This is a newer Koreatown option and over time I know there will be an increase in demand and popularity for this fabulous new spot!
We just tried Openaire for the first time since they revamped the restaurant and we had a fantastic experience. They have such a unique idea for brunch-- served in a bar cart as a flat rate add-on to your entree! Come hungry-- there is tons to eat and everything was amazing. The service was a little less than stellar but the new decor is awesome and the food is totally worth it.
The entire staff made us feel so welcome and special! I was celebrating my belated birthday with a friend who also had a belated birthday and the manager plus our server, Bret, were very warm and sweet! Would highly recommend.
Menu was lackluster, service slow and subpar. The only thing I enjoyed was the restaurant design itself which wasn’t any different from the previous restaurant (Comissary). Super disappointing experience.
Food is delicious and service is great! Love restaurant environment and design. Very nice plate for friends hanging out and couple date.
Great breakfast, brunch menu only weekends. Loved the French toast and the yogurt.
Had to wait 45 minutes past our reservation time.
Loved the food and the atmosphere!
Loved the location. The service was terrible for Christmas brunch and then the shrimp was not properly cleaned. Complained to the staff but they did not offer any compensation for the terrible service and unclean seafood. Sadly will not return.
We loved the ambiance, greenhouse feel of the restaurant. The $42 tasting menu was not a good value since the rotating cart always had the same options, plus getting an entree with that was too much food. The servers were very friendly and overall good, but y were understaffed.
It was Christmas day. We chose to sit outside. We asked the hostess if there were heaters and she said yes. Ours was not on. We asked several people to turn ours on. Two men tried, when they failed they never came back.We froze as the sun moved. We saw that another table got theirs turned on cn.
Part of meal service was a great little cart. It rarely came out to us. When it did, it was already picked over by people inside and items were cold.
Sat and waited 15 minutes before anyone came over and asked if we wanted something to drink.
Had to ask for refill on my coffee 2x's before someone refilled it and when the hostess came over she was literaly touching my food with the carafe while she refilling the glass.
We had to go look for someone 2x's during our meal for help. I finally got up a 3rd time to ask for our bill...because no one cleared our plates, asked if we needed anything, etc. Food was great but would never go back due to the serivce. all staff was really really nice, just not competent.
It was a first time visit.... big fans of Melisse and Charcoal.
Only issue and it was a small one was that the table was to close to the bar which is a very different crowd from the diners.
My husband and I enjoyed the Christmas Eve pre fixe menu prior to attending a worship service at a local church. This is the second year in what looks to become a tradition. First of all, we have to give kudos to the very friendly and helpful wait staff, especially Brett. The food was really terrific, much better than expected for a holiday pre fixe meal. The scallops were yummy. The duck was up in the awesome category. The mashed potatoes were buttery scrumptious. Even the veggies were worth writing home about. Delicious. The tasty dessert was a nice finish to a really great meal. We'll be back next year for sure, but I'm thinking we might stop by sometime much sooner.
If you're hungry, this is not the place to go. It's for more the scenic view and people watching. The Smoked Salmon Plate is the best thing to get. The Bulgogi Has was a total waste - nothing but salt and potatoes, hardly any bulgogi meat. The appetizer cart is interesting, but a person could eat the whole cart and not feel full. The cart comes around slowly and by the time it does get to you, half the stuff is all gone so they're constantly going and getting more which means less selection if you're at the end of their route and far too long in between the next go around. Truly disappointing and overpriced.
I liked the food and ambiance, but it is a little overpriced for brunch. I wish there was an option just to get unlimited cart items because they were so good and great variety! Paying for an entree and cart items is just a bit much.
The place is beautiful, but maybe I’ll come back just for lunch or breakfast.
Did have good environment
But that’s it. The food is fade
this is a very good restaurant in the Line Hotel , easy to get to on Wilshire in
Koreatown. We have eaten there twice now. The setting is nice, under cover
or outside on a pleasant day. The food and service are very good. We highly recommend.
This place is over-priced and has horrible service. We actually were staying at the hotel it’s located and also had breakfast there too. Impossible to get anyone to wait on you. That said, the food is fine. Love the space, but, not worth the trouble.
Got seated right away. It was not busy. Service was very kind and great smiles. Drinks are strong and worth the price. Our food was yummy. I would come back again. Oh... green house room had me in a dream.
We were seated in the communal table. If you are an average sized person you will have no space under the table for your legs because the table has not feet. Just a block of wood under it. Very uncomfortable. T
great experience and a great spot, especially with a big group.
So delicious! Loved everything about this place ! Best steak ever!
