Great food and service
As a single diner, they were very accommodating. Didn’t seat me in Siberia and were quite attentive. Excellent service and high quality food. Would return over and over.
Service was wonderful. Fish was delicious. I would suggest a vegetable with a smaller amount of orzo.
Thoroughly enjoyable experience. We go to Opal every time we are in town. The food, the atmosphere and the service are always wonderful. I highly recommend.
Birthday. Will be back soon.
Well it would have been a 20 minute wait even with our reservation. Wind up eating at the bar not happy
We loved our experience at Opal on Saturday night. We have dined there several times and were excited to try the new menu. Everything was delicious!
Excellent food and Service. One of our favorite places to eat.
I made reservations on open table .. there were 3 booths available.. we were denied a booth .. the waitress never brought our bread.. our drinks took long to arrive then it was not correct...noise level was loud...
The food was delicious and the prices were good. Service was wonderful as well.
Excellent service and a good meal. Would definitely go back.
Service and food fantastic as always‼️ Would highly recommend it to all‼️
Had 7:45 reservations, and hostess said there will be a wait. When I asked how much of a wait the hostess said they are still on their entrees. So glad I made reservations, I asked her to give us a table as there were tables available. She said we don’t sit 2 at a table of 4. It’s not my problem, I made reservations. Our waiter was good. Drinks took forever to come out. Not sure if I will return as the food was ok.
One of the best restaurants in Mount Pleasant. Perfect for date night.
We will back back soon as this is one of our best dining experiences in SC. Everything is top notch, including the wine list which is reasonably priced for the top quality wines available.
We have been there twice in the last two weeks! We love Opal! We had 2 different sets of guests and they also loved it!
Second visit and again did not disappoint
Really very good food, we had the leaf salad, I had lamb and she had chicken and we shared a chocolate mousse desert. We were both very happy with the food taste and quality. The flavors of the ingredients were well matched and robust. The prices were a little steep I thought but not terrible. Service was friendly, but the entry was awkward as there was no place to stand before being seated that wasn't in the way of others trying to enter. Only other detractor was the noise level was a little high.
We went for Valentines ! First time and was fabulous. My husband arraigned for flowers to be delivered to our table which they handled as soon as we arrived! Top shelf service! We will be back!
We had a great dinner. Of course we go there often !
Celebrating Valentine’s Day—had a wonderful dinner!
Excellent service, and the table location was exactly what we had requested, We had a wonderful time and will be returning.
Hana was excellent dinners all 4 were excellent top of our list for best in Charleston
We had a great family dinner for my husband's birthday! Would recommend Opal 100%
Opal never disappoints. This is one of my go-to favorites when I am entertaining out-of-town guests. Almost everyone wants to dine in downtown Charleston but I let them know about this Mount Pleasant gem of a restaurant and I have always received nothing but the highest compliments about Opal. I'm always very excited to take new guests to Opal as I know they will leave very satisfied and with a smile on their face.
We live in Seaside Farms so frequently eat at Opal and Basil. Opal has consistently good food however the menu does not change enough and it is over priced for what it is. Never order the special without asking how much it is. Average fish on menu is between $25 and $30 special can be $40 or higher. This is a personal issue of mine as most restaurants tell you how much the specials are when they introduce them or they are roughly in line with the rest of the menu. Dinner for two with wine and tip will be $100 more or less.
Service was stellar! Food pricey but we brought extras home and in all we got several meals so it evened out.
We went to Opal for our anniversary and were rewarded once again with an excellent meal, as usual, and great service. It is a neighborhood gem, definitely worth finding.
Great great great!
Second time eating here and no one was disappointed. I had a pasta dish and started with a mozzarella salad and my hubby had the surf and turf special. Delicious.
Opal is always 100%! Severs and bartenders are really knowledgeable, and fun. Food is always great. Love it- great spot!
One of my favorite places to eat in Charleston, I compare it to Halls sometimes and that alone says something.
We had a nice evening. We were seated right on time, drinks were promptly served. Appetizers came in good order. There was a huge lag time for waiting for entrees. My filet was underwhelming and a little over cooked - asked for Med-Rare and it was Medium at best...a little dry. The Borolo sauce was ok. The recommended Brussels sprouts were just saturated in the balsamic glaze, didn’t care for them at all. Other’s meals, pastas and pork chop, were good. I probably had too high of expectations. But I would say its a good neighborhood restaurant to enjoy with friends. Our server was outstanding.
Always perfect! The staff is amazing, the food is delicious, and the ambiance is warm and inviting. My favorite go to spot .
We have always loved Opal, and we were happy to bring some newcomers to our area to enjoy dinner. The four of us enjoyed the charcuterie board, the delicious soup of the day-butternut squash, the fish special and one of the handmade pasta dishes. The wine was perfect and our server was very pleasant and helpful. We look forward to returning to Opal!
My favorite place in the area!! Always consistently amazing
The food was really good. Combo aid flavors in the mushroom salad was amazing. Guests enjoyed their pasta and meatballs, salmon salad, and exceptional chicken cooked perfectly. This will be a staple for us.
The food was outstanding. The restaurant is known for its charcuterie and its pasta dishes, and neither disappointed. The booth seating is great, but tables in the middle of the floor are noisier. Service was good but not outstanding.
Superb as always. Jerrod and staff are fantastic!
