Opal Restaurant + Bar is located in Seaside Farms in Mt Pleasant, SC. Opal is the second restaurant concept from Chef and Owner Patrick Langdon Owens', who opened Langdon's Restaurant & Wine Bar in 2002. Opal features an extensive charcuterie menu, handcrafted pasta dishes, fresh seafood and the finest meats.

We brought friends from out of town and the whole experience was fantastic. Two folks had duck which was excellent. One had the salmon dish which was also excellent. One had the pasta/mussels special which was a big hit. Two had the handmade pastas which was delicious. The soup of the day was a shellfish bisque with shrimp that was elegant and incredibly tasty. We love Opal and enjoy the Tuesday charcuterie nights so much. I recommend this lovely restaurant and recommend reservations on the weekends for sure.

As usual, our visit to Opal was an excellent experience and they seemed to be busier than usual (a good sign for our neighborhood). Their appetizer shrimp bruschetta is fantastic. A half-serving of meatballs and pasta was plenty in size and delightful in taste/seasoning. The service was great and the wine list is diverse (and generally affordable). It was a great evening.

This was only the second time I have been. It was Valentines and I arrived from a late flight and had a rather late reservation. No wait and really nice staff. Food was excellent. I had the lobster pasta and my wife the chop. Both meals were outstanding. I would recommend this restaurant and bar to all.

We had a very enjoyable dinner. This was a second try after having a not so enjoyable dinner so many years ago and we will certainly continue to patronize said because we were pleasantly surprised about the food service and the ambience

The service was great. We had an early meal and were tucked away in a booth. It is so great to find a restaurant where you can actually have a conversation enjoy great food with fantastic service.

Our first time at Opal was overall a good experience. The only negative was when we arrived early and decided to have a drink at the bar, we stood and were ignored for a solid ten minutes. Even after we placed our order (only two glasses of wine), the hostess came to get us and she hadn’t even poured our wine. We told the hostess and I said not to worry that we would just order with our server. The hostess amended the situation by grabbing our wine from the bartender and bringing it over. After that, it was an excellent experience. Our waitress was very attentive and timed out our meal perfectly. The Westbrook mussels and charcuterie board were so delicious. We ordered the market fish (Tile fish) and the pasta with lemon ricotta (she recommended as it was the most popular). It was good portion sizes (I even ordered the half size and it was plenty!). We topped off the meal with their Expresso martini - one of the best I’ve ever had! Will definitely be frequenting Opal more often when we want to splurge!

The place was packed and we still managed to get a romantic table for 2! Our server, Noel was awesome and the food was perfect.
This is really an awesome spot - more appropriate for friends and fun than romance - but it definitely fit the bill!

A nice restaurant albeit quite costly in price. The service was excellent. Thank you Kristie(sp) for terrific service. A good place to try at least once.

Food was good! Service was a bit slow. We’d definitely go here again because the food was yummy! If service is slow again, we’d think twice about going again. 6:15 reservation and we left at 8:05. We had charcuterie, appetizers/salad, entree and dessert so it was a long meal but it shouldn’t have been THAT long. Server was nice, but just a bit too slow.

Fabulous as always for both food and service. I am addicted to their shellfish bisque which is fabulous. Love that you can order half portions of pasta which is still substantial. Always a great experience!
