Opa! - Willow Glen
We made a reservation for Sunday at 5:30pm. We were seated initially and then completely forgotten about. No one came by to check in on us or take our orders. After 20 minutes of just sitting there not being acknowledged, we just moved to the bar. The bartender was very busy, but he managed to greet us, take our orders and drinks.
We planned on leaving, if it wasn't for the bartender. I'm not entirely sure if the restaurant was understaffed because it wasn't by any means at maximum capacity or had customers waiting.
Not too many vegetarian options. Good food though.
Food was amazing. We just loved everything about opa!!!
I normally have good experience here. This time though they messed up one dish, brought the wrong order, so had to wait while others started eating so their food won't get cold. Manager brought the correct order and offered free dessert, nice. But we all declined the free dessert cause we're pretty much full and all were on diet. I paid for the check without verifying, my bad, got carried away with conversation. Got home and realized I was charged for wrong dish. Now I have to come back and hopefully they'll credit me, don't want to have to argue with manager. Just a waste of time...
Good food, poor service
We got there just prior to our reservation. There were only two other parties sitting in the restaurant and two people at the bar. We were seated immediately. A worker was at the table next to us eating. After 20 minutes of waiting for somebody to come wait on us, the worker got up from eating his meal and asked if he could help us. He took our order and then about 5 minutes later another waiter came to our table and eventually delivered our food and filled our water glasses. Hats off to the employee who saw we had been waiting so long and tried to help us. Not sure whose fault it was nobody waited on us. Food was good, but service wasn’t.
We had dinner there for the first time, it was a great experience. We will return for sure.
Thank you Opa crew.
Long wait after order was placed. Noticed four or five Togo orders leaving the kitchen while we waited.
Our gals group has celebrated birthdays here many times. We enjoy the food. However, we now make reservations at 11:30 because of the 1:00 noise level making it hard to hear table conversation.
Sorta loud. Didn’t know what an Arnold Palmer was but their ice tea was good. My lamb was rare after asking for medium. They sent to extra pieces over which was nice after Re heating my original ones. My husbands chicken was over cooked. Rice pilaf needs more flavor very boring taste. Bummed because we’ve always lived Opa.
We had a reservation yet still had to wait 25 mins for our table. We waited another 15 before any server approached us. We were comped an appetizer but experience unacceptable. Don’t take reservations if you can’t honor them. When you are dining out with two kids timing is important. We could have walked around the corner and been seated at another restaurant immediately, and finished eating before our order was ever taken at opa. Disappointing. Food was meh for the wait and price. Bar took forever to make one drink which arrived when we were almost done with our meal.
Great food, good service, needs a bigger parking garage. Two people spent 10 minutes looking for a place to park
Food was mediocre. Service was average. We got a pita sampler and charged an extra $3 when we asked for more bread.
Food was good, not too busy. Restaurant was cold. Apparently there is no heat.
Large selection on Mediterranean foods all prepared well. The meatloaf and shrimp kebabs are outstanding. And the staff was excellent!
This was an awesome spot to have dinner while in town for work. Food was seasoned well and tasted great!
It was a very quiet post new-year at Opa! Very mellow crowd which made our dinner very enjoyable: no line, available waiters and staff,... We had a great time and the food was very fresh and very tasty.
Always consistent and fresh food. Great Sunday Funday with the girls.. Opa!
Enjoyed the food and Excellent Service
Opa (Willow Glen) is one of my favorite places. The restaurant is like a pair of nice jeans that I can either dress up or dress down. Opa is a great place for casual dining and a great place for special occasions.
Took family to Christmas Eve dinner celebration.
Outstanding restaurant for large selection of Mediterranean foods, wine and deserts. Great and helpful staff. And the taste was amazing!!
Great food especially the saganaki flaming cheese
Had dinner here with two friends and the food was outstanding as was the service. Waiter was very engaging, gave fantastic recommendations was attentive without being intrusive.
I highly recommend and in fact have already told a few friends about our experience.
I had requested a booth but was told that there where none available when we arrived even though there were 8 booths empty when we arrived and 10 available when we left ..
Only received water after asking 4 times when the bill arrived 😠
Food was cold and nothing to write home about ...
Chances of giving them another try pretty slim👎🏾👎🏾👎🏾👎🏾👎🏾
This is an exceptional and easily accessible location for business luncheons. Ambiance was quiet yet sophisticated, service was prompt and regular yet very UN-interruptive (important during critical business discussions). This will be a go-to for future client/prospect meetings and is highly recommended. The food was very good and reasonably priced.
Everything about the lunch I hosted went well. The food was excellent, service was excellent and the birthday celebration dessert was a special treat. The waiter even spoke Spanish to my bi-lingual guest!
We had a nice meal on the patio. Food was very good. Service was a mess...brought the entres before the starter! We will try it again.
Great service, great food!
We went for Father's Day brunch.. bottomless mimosas, great benedict and chilaquiles.
one thing - when I went onto Open Table to make the reservation, there was one option - 11am only - OT said all other available times were full and only one table was remaining at 11am; when we arrived a few minutes after 11, the restaurant was empty except for one other table and we were there for 90 minutes or so and the restaurant was never full. I think Open Table has a glitch in their system.
we mentioned this to the hostess and she just giggled - would've figured she would check it out
Came for Sunday brunch; it’s surprisingly mellow at the Willow Glen location on Sundays, doesn’t fill up until late. The food is always solid and priced reasonably for the area.
We had a lovely time at Opa! We were seated at a small table inside and when we requested to move outside (it was a gorgeous, warm evening) they were very kind despite being busy and moved us quickly. Our server, Veronica, was very attentive and friendly. Our food and drinks were spectacular and came out in a timely fashion. I'll definitely be back!
I've had good experiences at Opa before but this time we were served salad with brown lettuce. Really??? If the lettuce is old, throw it away - it's cheap! Not worth the risk of losing customers!! And, that "big" salad they advertise that is $16.99 is no bigger, perhaps smaller than the other salads on the menu. Bad Opa day!
Great for business and personal lunch and dinner. Space was adequate and lovely location.
It was great. We love Opa's
Great service and ambiance for an evening out highly recommended!
Their spicy feta goes with pretty much every meal. Yum!
Consistent food and great selections even for kids
