Opa! - Willow Glen
We had a very inexperienced server which made our experience les than stellar. Very understaffed for a Saturday night.
We really enjoyed the food, but there was A LOT (too much) of garlic in the dishes we ordered.
The Good :)
Food was good, it was Greek
Great portions of food
Salads were fresh and Fantastic!
One had wine it was very good.
The Bad :(
Service eh slow but steady - Sometimes forgetful
There was hair on two different plates, one in the roasted potatoes. But not sure if ours or theirs?
Lastly wasn’t offered dessert.
We enjoyed the restaurant and the food. Nothing stood out as “we have to come back” Left with doggie bags
Great, flavorful food & good value.
Food was amazing
Parents anniversary which was not recognized by Opa staff
Fantastic as always!
Our annual Back to School dinner. This was our 4th year coming the night before school starts.
Everyone had a great time!
Got charged $2.99 for "french press coffee". What I got was one cold cup of coffee. No refills. Then there is the "living wage charge" added to each check. This is a way to increase the wages (which they should), but without increasing the cost of the food, they will just add a surcharge so the customer won't mind as much. Somehow that is the right way to handle this issue. The food was average, but took a long time to be prepared and served. Once the food arrived, nobody ever checked back until the check was presented.
I like that it’s a larger place. I like the ambiance. It’s a great place for food, friends and family. It’s in a great place!
food was good but, service was awful. not attentive staff on a very slow night
Daughter in town
I think it would be nice if for birthdays a complimentary scoop of ice cream or something similar with a candle be provided.
Good food - we arrived in time for bargain drinks and appetizers which was nice.
I might recommend because of the delicious food & the good service, BUT the music was way too loud to enjoy conversation with my family. Please consider turning it down to a more background level. Not the headliner.
Thank you! 😁
Good food ok service.
Table all set was awaiting our arrival. Service was prompt and efficient and food was great!!
We love Opa but this particular night was way off. We were seated and waiting for another member to arrive. It took a long time to get the attention of the waiter after being served waters. We had so much time to decide on our choices we ordered the drinks, apps, and meals all at once. The meals came first, then the apps, and then the drinks. It was at 6 pm on a weeknight, not especially crowded. The "flaming cheese" app was a huge disappointment as the lighter to ignite the dish did not work. I quick flame and all the liquid did not even burn off the cheese dish. We were there to celebrate a high school graduation and we left feeling disappointed by the dining experience.
We appreciated the quick service and the waiter was attentive and friendly
Overall, good experience! Food was delicious and the service was very good. Waitress and help were very attentive. Only comment was that after we placed our order, it took over 30 min for the food to arrive. Longer than expected but the brunch was delicious.
Service was good we asked for calamari extra crispy and they burnt it but they made a new one
Four ladies had a delightful visit together at Opas. The menu had enough choices to satisfy all of our tastes. The lemon soup was great. The server was very polite and had a nice sense of humor. For short folks, the booths are a bit low and ai felt like a child in a high chair. We were not rushed in any way, but we were there for Monday lunch.
The standard at Opa has considerably down. Used to be a classy place. Food and service was sub-par
So disappointed. Ordered my usual Gyro and there was hardly any meat on it.
Food and atmosphere was very good. The service was ok. The waiter seemed distracted by other things.
It was a nice Mother/Daughter lunch. Food was great, it was busy in there which made it a little loud but still a nice time. The service was a little slow.
We made a reservation for Sunday at 5:30pm. We were seated initially and then completely forgotten about. No one came by to check in on us or take our orders. After 20 minutes of just sitting there not being acknowledged, we just moved to the bar. The bartender was very busy, but he managed to greet us, take our orders and drinks.
We planned on leaving, if it wasn't for the bartender. I'm not entirely sure if the restaurant was understaffed because it wasn't by any means at maximum capacity or had customers waiting.
Not too many vegetarian options. Good food though.
Food was amazing. We just loved everything about opa!!!
I normally have good experience here. This time though they messed up one dish, brought the wrong order, so had to wait while others started eating so their food won't get cold. Manager brought the correct order and offered free dessert, nice. But we all declined the free dessert cause we're pretty much full and all were on diet. I paid for the check without verifying, my bad, got carried away with conversation. Got home and realized I was charged for wrong dish. Now I have to come back and hopefully they'll credit me, don't want to have to argue with manager. Just a waste of time...
Good food, poor service
We got there just prior to our reservation. There were only two other parties sitting in the restaurant and two people at the bar. We were seated immediately. A worker was at the table next to us eating. After 20 minutes of waiting for somebody to come wait on us, the worker got up from eating his meal and asked if he could help us. He took our order and then about 5 minutes later another waiter came to our table and eventually delivered our food and filled our water glasses. Hats off to the employee who saw we had been waiting so long and tried to help us. Not sure whose fault it was nobody waited on us. Food was good, but service wasn’t.
We had dinner there for the first time, it was a great experience. We will return for sure.
Thank you Opa crew.
Long wait after order was placed. Noticed four or five Togo orders leaving the kitchen while we waited.
Our gals group has celebrated birthdays here many times. We enjoy the food. However, we now make reservations at 11:30 because of the 1:00 noise level making it hard to hear table conversation.
Sorta loud. Didn’t know what an Arnold Palmer was but their ice tea was good. My lamb was rare after asking for medium. They sent to extra pieces over which was nice after Re heating my original ones. My husbands chicken was over cooked. Rice pilaf needs more flavor very boring taste. Bummed because we’ve always lived Opa.
We had a reservation yet still had to wait 25 mins for our table. We waited another 15 before any server approached us. We were comped an appetizer but experience unacceptable. Don’t take reservations if you can’t honor them. When you are dining out with two kids timing is important. We could have walked around the corner and been seated at another restaurant immediately, and finished eating before our order was ever taken at opa. Disappointing. Food was meh for the wait and price. Bar took forever to make one drink which arrived when we were almost done with our meal.
Great food, good service, needs a bigger parking garage. Two people spent 10 minutes looking for a place to park
