Opa! Santa Clara
Dining experience was very good. Good staff with nice attention to our team.
Everything was perfect, but it took a little long for the food to come out. Couldn't do lunch in an hour. I especially loved the outdoor seating.
Nice server, attentive and quick. Scruffy ambience. Lots of tables needing bussing. Three TVs of sports - not a selling point to me. Fava dip nothing like Greek versions - too dry, humousy. Entree was meant to have one chicken skewer & one veg. Came with two chicken. Overall not bad but certainly mediocre.
I’ve been to other Opa locations, but I liked this one because it was bigger and within a shopping center. Parking is a challenge especially on a Friday night, however, I still like the ambience. Another plus is that Opa does not have a corkage fee for the first bottle. I forgot to ask for additional bottles. I will definitely return.
We've been to four other Opa's, and this one is just as good .... and just as noisy. We always have the flaming cheese for starters. Our out-of-town guests got a kick out of this. The lemon soup was as we remembered. I just wish these placers (all of them) we quieter so one can have as conversation while dining. All said, though, we would go back.
I had been to Campbell one and it is much better
I’d suggest welcoming guests with a bread/butter or something very small in beginning. Also restaurant was vey very loud. We had to yell in our table to have a conversation :)
Overall it was good.
I've eaten here several times in the past. I had a very good evening meal several months ago. Today I had a mid-day meal that was OK but not great. I had a chef salad that was quite ordinary and the noise level was very high due to the lack of any sound dampening in the restaurant design.
Great Greek food!
Great place to host a group of business colleagues and clients!
My moussaka was undercooked. The accompanying Greek salad was OK. The noise level was very high, it was hard to hear people at my table
The food was very good, the outside patio was very nice. Issue was we waited about 45 mins from when we sat down to when our order was taken.
I enjoy Opa's and for the most part it's 5 stars for me across the board but this time, there was a lack of communication with the Hostess and she cancelled my reservation. if you answer the phone you better know how to update a reservation properly for the hostess or don't pick up the phone. They tried to seat us indoors (even though my reservation was for outdoor seating) and the noise level was too high to have a conversation or hear yourself think. Asked to speak to a manager and was told he was busy. Miraculously seating opened up outdoors and we were reseated. Service was slow but the food was great (as usual)
I would only recommend if your service improved. We ordered the spread appetizer and the bread seemed like it was leftover from the day before, very hard. We asked for additional bread from our waiter and the waiter from another table more than once. When the bread was finally brought to the table, our meal had already come. A few of the meals were cold or warm at best. Our waiter, who was friendly, didn't seem to listen to how things were being ordered. This was probably due to it being so noisy in the restaurant. Noise level is something that should also be addressed.
We went to Opa! last Wed for lunch, arrived at 12PM, not very crowded, got a table right away, but it took them more than 30 minutes to bring our foods out. Short staff in the Kitchen on that day, maybe? I expected a better service for the price they charged.
Excellent service, the staff understands this business lunch crowd.
Had high expectations. But was disappointed with the dinner menu and taste, also the quantity served is much Little compared to the price/ dish.
It's a nice get-together place. The outside seating was very pleasant. It took a long time for the waiter to come by for ordering, but once the order was placed, the food was out pretty fast. The waiter mistakenly took one more dish than what we wanted, but he dealt with the situation very well and left us with very good feeling.
Food is good but service is terrible. Bring business guests for dinner and quite embarrassed from the poor service. People there showed no respect to customers and mixed up all the orders. Not recommended especially if you are bringing guests.
While I have been at others that were better, service and food prep here was not up to it.
Great food and great service. It has become so popular, a reservation is needed which isn't convenient when you just want to grab a quick lunch. The only negative is that it is way too loud inside with all those people. Hard to have a conversation if you aren't sitting next to or across from the person.
The server was so rude to our party, we had to leave before even ordering. Literally the worst service I have ever had. The Management made no attempt to rectify the situation after being brought to their attention. After spending thousands of dollars at Opa! locations throughout the area, I have discontinued any further business with them. So will our rather large family. Distasteful and disgraceful. If I owned this place I would very concerned about the personnel with whom Ive trusted my reputation.
I visited Opa! for a business lunch with 2 other people. We were initially seated inside. I’m not a particularly sensitive person, but the decibel level was unbearable. We begged to be moved outside and after a wait of about 10 minutes a table opened up. If that hadn’t happened we would have walked out. One word Opa!: soundproofing.
I’m shocked that the chef took the honey bacon Brussel sprouts off the menu - BIG mistake!!!
Good Greek food. However the bread that goes along with the hummus is too thick. They need to thin down the bread.
Normally this place is better. I tried the sampler of three dips, "hummus" fava (very hard and not like hummus), whipped avocado (very tasty and spicy), and olives (good, very salty). I then got the lamb burger and the way they served it was drenched (not kidding) in tzadiki sauce. It was such a mess and hard to eat. Fries were only warm. Service outside was not attentive.
All okay except the pita. What happened? Pita is kinda important at Opa and it was dry and flavorless.
