There was an Easter Buffet. Therefore, the waitress just had to give us drinks and silverware. We sat without silverware and hot food in front of us for a good 5 minutes. Also, they did not require or monitor people to wear masks while at the buffet. I felt very unsafe as the restaurant was over crowded and not monitoring masks. The food quality was subpar. Cheap pizza, gyros, shrimp and salad that came out of bag. I would not be surprised if Gordan Ramsey had this restaurant on his Kitchen nightmare show.
I have never waited so long to be greeted by our server. Once she arrived she was friendly, but still can't believe how long we sat there before she even looked our way. They were busy, but not THAT busy. Food was ok, ambience was nice, but probably won't go back.
Ope-nah sums it up
Food here is nothing spectacular. Neither is the service. There is much better Italian at other Italian eateries in town--and as for Greek, well you have to take what you can get in Des Moines. When we went to pay the bill, I noticed that it was much more than it should have been for having purchased only two entres and three glasses of wine. When I checked the bill, I discovered that two additional entres from another table had been added to our check. Look over your check carefully here. I doubt it was intentional, but mistakes happen when people are careless, and that seems to have been the case here.
Delicious!!
It was our first visit, and we'll DEFINITELY be back! All four of us enjoyed our meals very much, and we had great service!
We were disappointed our waitress did not keep her mask over her nose. Took 40 minutes to get our appetizer and then our dinner came immediately after getting appetizer. Gave my husband a Diet Coke that looked like part water. When he mentioned said something about it not working. It was just a weird experience. Food was good and would have been a 5 Star if waitress had been friendlier and more receptive
It was NYE, but it was t crazy busy. The staff seemed like it was, though, as they were pretty short and not very friendly. When I asked what the servers favorites from the menu were she acted annoyed and replied that anything with an asterisk is an OPA favorite. That was a little disappointing as most servers give great suggestions after eating various items at their place of business. The good was good, not fantastic. There wasn’t anything really remarkable. With so many other choices in the area, we will not go back.
Veal piccata was wonderful and my sister loved the shrimp Opa! My kids opted for chicken strips and even the fries were pretty good!
We were seated immediately and quickly waited on. The menu is very extensive so we ordered an appetizer and took our time which our waitress was quite ok with. I had the steak de burgo, which was fabulous!! Very tender and flavorful. Dinner for 4 with drinks and appetizer was just over $100. Great value for food this good!
Our waitress was great.
The salad dressings left a lot to be desired.
