This restaurant is permanently closed. The name "Land of Vines" was given to the South of Italy upon its discovery by the Greeks, for it's great expanse of vines across its rich & fertile country sides to seaside cliffs along the coast.

Master Chef Massimo Navarretta was raised farming & making wine at its heart, the region of Campania. At "Onotria," savor the gastronomy & oenology of wine producing regions of the world.

The Baked Salmon was delicious, tender and seasoned wonderfully. Also excellent: the bruscetta, cauliflower in cheese sauce, spinach & arugula salad with pears, and tiramisu. Service was wonderful, prompt but not rushed. We will be back!

Enjoyed appetizers, drinks, and dessert. The place has a view of the vineyard in the front of the building and we were entertained by raccoons stealing grapes from the vines; an unexpected "floor show". The restaurant is also decked out with Halloween themed creations; would be great for a party.

Food was excellent and the menu provided many special items that you might not find in some Italian Restaurants. Very extensive Wine list that was reasonably priced. Appetizer Special was excellent and unique.

Definitely felt like Groupon customers. Once they serve you no one comes back to check on you. Wine was good. Salad way over dressed and just lettuce. Appetizers not very flavorful. Fish was good.

This is one of our go-to restaurants in Orange County. The ambience is ideal: comfortable and homey, like having dinner at a friend's country house in Italy. The wine list has a large range of offerings, with good wines at every price point. The food is yummy, and the service is warm and unobtrusive. Always a pleasure.

This was a wonderful experience. We were seated looking out at grape vines. Just a wonderful atmosphere. Excellent service with excellent food and excellent wine. What else can I say?

Had been there for lunch and enjoyed it very much. Great time for dinner and was very disappointed. Ordered the calamari entree and it was awful. The calamari was so overcooked it was like rubber and the polenta had no flavor. The seafood stew was ok but nothing to save about and the risotto with shrimp was fine. The wedge salad was able. The cucumber melon salad was good. Having had this experience I will not be back! So, I say don't bother with this restaurant. Go somewhere else.

Really good food that is sourced from their garden. It is a special occasion kind of place. We went at 5 with our 1 year old, and I wouldn't recommend taking a baby during peak times. The couple next to us was celebrating their anniversary and we felt bad that we had a loud little one. Great food and great ambiance!

Absolutely incredible dining experience. Mauro led us through a taste of authentic Italian cuisine I never knew existed. The food was incredible, the service impeccable and the environment wonderful. Would recommend to anyone looking for a unique dining experience alone, as a couple or with a few friends.

We went on a Wednesday evening and it was not crowded at all, we were looking for a bit more happy hour atmosphere, but the food was excellent and creative. The décor was old world Italian and very nice. I would go back for a date night with my husband.

Our go-to restaurant in Costa Mesa and one of our favorites anywhere in the world. Great food, wonderful wines and fun, knowledgeable people. Chef Massimo is an encyclopedia of knowledge regarding wine, food, healthy eating ... and music. His passion is contagious and we love learning from him. A special team with a special leader. I highly recommend getting to know Onotria.

This little GEM is one of my favorites and it lived up to it's reputation on my last visit here with not only the great food & wine, but the interaction with the fabulous wait staff and Massimo the owner. They make dining an experience!

Summer truffle season-always look forward to it at Onotria. Delicious fettuccini in marscspone sauce with these truffles shaved over-always a fav! Best whole branzino out there.

The food is amazing! The Orange, Fennel, Cucumber, Avocado salad with citrus vinaigrette was delicious and refreshing! The Branzino was incredible, just wonderful, already craving it again. The cauliflower au gratin not to rich, just perfect and was an outstanding compliment to the Branzino. And the final topper is that they have the absolute best Tiramisu anywhere in Orange County, and I've had a lot of tiramisu in my day. Just the best meal I've had in a long time. Raymundo our server was a pleasure and truly on his game, well ask for him again for sure he completed the whole experience.

Good food. A bit pricey. Tall, open volume lacks intimacy; feels a bit too IHOP. Decor helps to compensate a bit.

Very friendly server and great food. Good variety for lunch menu.
