its valentines and not so busy when the time we got there. The.m food was great, reasonable, but the tables are kinda small.
Service was bad and food was worse. The hostess even carried 3 bags of garbage through the dining room. Gross.
They call it "Happy Owl" and it's a great happy hour menu -- the calamari is tasty and fresh (old school with the tentacles) -- Irish slant to the great selection of draught beers. Best Monte Cristo (it's the real deal) that I have found in the South Sound -- can't wait to try their Reuben, also the Tomahawk steak next time we are in the Harbor.
Our bartender/waiter, Misty, was Terrific!
New to the area so tried this place on a Fri. night which advertised entertainment. Sat in the bar which was not too crowded. Staff were unsure if there was music or not but were all very nice & attentive. There are some authentic Irish dishes and other pub fare but told us they were out of a few dishes such as Shepherd's pie. They did tell us in the bar the wait for food may be longer which was respectful. We did not mind. Our wine (limited list but plenty of beer choices being an Irish pub) was served promptly & chilled. We had a wonderful house salad, corned beef/cabbage dinner & bangers & mash-all were very tasty. An Irish singer/guitarist Emmett showed up (wearing a kilt) and he was quite good-funny, entertaining & took all our song requests including Irish ones. Everyone (customers & staff alike) seemed to be enjoying themselves and other food dishes we saw pass by also looked hearty & tasty. We will definitely be back! Glad to find something close to home that is unique but also has good food with entertainment.
We enjoyed a very nice family lunch for four. The seats were comfortable and there was little ambient noise so conversation was easy. Loved the menu, reminded us of our time in the UK, and each of our meals was delicious. Wait staff was attentive and friendly. We will definitely return.
Food was good, dessert was amazing! Wish you guys had Magner’s Irish Cider, was disappointed since it is an Irish bar. Service was great.
Overall good, except for the very slow and confused hostess. She could not seat us until she found menus which were in a stack by the door. She’d never heard of Open Table, so we failed to get the 100 pts for reservation. The server was very good and food (corn beef and hash eggs, unlimited mimosas for only $6) was excellent!
The food was phenomenal. The wait staff was new, and brought our appetizer out the same time they brought out our main course. We said something to the wait staff and the manager comped our appetizer. The manager discussed the situation with the waiter, and he came back to our table to give us an insincere apology. It was obvious he was annoyed that he even had to acknowledge his mistake. We waited tables in our younger years and we understand Mix-Ups happen. We were extremely happy with the food, satisfied that the manager comping the appetizer, but we could have done without the attitude from the waiter.
They ran out of red wine and crown royal. Food was ok. Service was ok. Friendly but nit real knowledgeable
Missing Ireland and getting our Sheppard’s pie fix!
While the air conditioning was cold, it didn't detract from the delicious food.
The food was terrible the waiters had no Dalic of the restaurant and the food they were serving.
Nice remodel from Tanglewood outdoors theme. We were amazed as one lone waitress handles 10 tables while we were there and never missed a service beat. The food was good but not great. Reasonable price.
If you like live Irish music this place is for you. I was not a big fan. It was just too loud for me. My Shepard's pie was overcooked and burnt in some areas. The parts that were edible were delicious. I did enjoy trying smithwicks beer for the first time. It was pretty tasty. Nice place just not my but of tea.
I order the Ruben sandwich and the house salad. I could not locate the sauerkraut on my sandwich. I thought the house salad was lettuce, tomatoes, etc. I got salad greens, walnuts, pears and blue cheese, which I am not fond of. I also asked for a glass for my bottle of beer and never receive that. Could use to loose a few tables in the dinning area. To crowded, hard time getting out of dinning room.
Great place with amazing food and service. I had my wife's Birthday party there with about 15 people. Waitress was amazing and again, food was awesome. It is a bit pricey, but worth it
Bar tender didn’t make drinks as requested and food was not very good I am Brit and know what Shepard’s Pie should taste line this was not a good representation.
Not worth. Food is ok, no bad not good. Service needs serious work on. We were given the breakfast menu at 11:50. I needed to ask for the lunch menu, they told me a history and then gave it to us ( I had the feeling that they were trying to get rid of breakfast food that was pre prepared)... I had to ask for my silverware and my sauce... definitely not coming back.
ok. new. need to tune up customer service, noise, and value. they'll get there. Met the owner. Nice people.
Our server was great! I don’t remember her name but she has red hair and wore it in two buns. She was funny and prompt for how busy it was.
The food was great. Best corned beef and cabbage I’ve had since I was in the south end of Boston. I would highly recommend it. They’re asparagus was good as well and the drinks were balanced well.
The restaurant has been open for a while now and the expectation was a seasoned staff and kitchen.
No bread or water offered.
No printed wine list. Only bottled wine offered was also by the glass.
Entree came an hour after seating, medium rare filet was beyond well done.
While waiting for another steak nothing was offered while waiting and companion ate their dinner.
New filet arrived, no roasted potato because they ran out. This was at a 6pm seating on Valentines Day.
Very good food at a reasonable price. Good atmosphere and very polite waitstaff. Service a bit slow because they were very busy. But they comped is a desert so all was good. Also bar didn’t know what a kir royal was. But the prime rib was spectacular and all the food was excellent. Will definitely go back!
The only drawback was that they are not set up to utilize Open table yet... They serve great food. The folks working there are eager to ensure we were enjoying yourselves. I highly recommend the food - except for the Sheppard's Pie.
