It had been awhile since we've visited One0Eight due to the pandemic and restaurant staffing issues, however, management seems to have brought the establishment back and everything was spot on! The new menu is excellent with several new. delicious selections and the service was superb. Again, this is one of our favorite SLC restaurants!
I’m so sorry that my favorite neighborhood brunch place is no longer my favorite. A new “chef” has revamped what once was a perfect brunch snd dinner menu into a mishmash of garbage. For higher prices. Many disgruntled patrons. Complaints were heard all over the patio. Poor wait staff couldn’t placate all! I for one will not be going back, and I fear the guests there today will not either. It needs to return to the place we loved.
I have had previously eaten very good meals here, but at my most recent visit, that was not the case. In one very small section of my pasta there were at least 10 whole roasted garlic cloves. I’m not even sure how many there were through the whole dish. Service and ambiance are great. And the burrata starter was delicious.
Our server was outstanding. Chicken Parmigiana sandwich was tasty
Glad to have a restaurant back in this location--the menu is varied and super fresh and flavorful. And--the patio is pet friendly!
Creative menu with fantastic food! Service was outstanding as well.
Loved it. Great atmosphere with friendly staff. Food was very good and it was nice to be able and sit and talk with your partner and not have to shout at each other.
The patio is nice, and the service was excellent. The food and wine were good but a bit overpriced.
Disappointing. On a scale from One (t)o Eight it was closer to a One than an Eight. Limited menu, bland salad with dry salmon served with the greasy skin left on it. Daughter's fries weren't bad but neither are McDonald's.
Brunch on patio on a sunny Sunday with live music, gentle breezes and newish delish menu ideas. Just perfect. No better way to spend a late June Sunday morning in the One-O- Eight (zip code is 84108)
Great patio. Mediocre food. Friendly server.
Beautiful patio and so nice that they let you bring dogs. Excellent food and service. We'll be back!
Lovely evening on the outdoor patio, great to be vaccinated and out with friends again!
I like One0Eight and we wanted to sit outside for a special 80th birthday dinner. Unfortunately, it was a very sunny and hot part of the patio. I would've liked a little more care taken in seating us in a more comfortable situation, especially since we had a reservation. It doesn't stop me from gathering there again, but I'll be more careful next time I take our parents with us.
Fantastic ambiance, especially for a summer dining experience. The food was delicious. The service was great. We will be returning.
We sat outside and it was a pretty quiet even though it's on a fairly trafficked street. Food was delicious and staff was very attentive. Cocktails were incredible.
Well paced meal.
Inedible all 7 dishes. Raw pancakes full of batter in the middle. Waiter said he’d pay for half of them (half 🤷🏼♀️)🙄 (oh and he didn’t)....oh and we ordered a bottle of wine, mimosa, two craft beers and them he told us the kitchen closes in 15 minutes.. we had a 1:30 reservation..
We had the burratta appetizer. My mouth is still torn from the ROCK HARD crostini served with it.
I had the margherita pizza. I’ve had frozen pizza that’s better.
In other words. I will not be going back here again.
Excellent service and food. Not rushed to finish dinner with party of 6.
The outdoor dining area is wonderful! Large, airy, covered, tables spaced nicely, plants, heaters, etc. The indoor space is nice too - high ceilings, spare and clean, with doors that open to the patio. The food and drink menus are varied, accommodating most any either. The service was friendly and prompt, and all of our food met our expectations.
Our server was very friendly and genuine. He was super kind to my young son, and that is always appreciated. One diner ordered a salad appetizer and a main, it wasn't coursed out and was served with the mains, resulting in too much food at once. The patio is a beautiful place to sit and all staff that we encountered were helpful, attentive, and kind. We will be back.
Lovely outdoor space, live music for Sunday Brunch, friendly staff. Definitely will be back.
Mediocre food at best. Poached eggs were cooked through, underseasoned. The service was even worse.
Pretty good overall (3 stars). For the price, the service was more miss than hit. The green chili was disappointing (bland, porkfat) and, while admittedly snooty by design and location, it wasn’t fun snooty.
Awesome food and great service!
We sat outside on the patio and it was perfect.
108 is always outstanding. Great food, great service. Love it.
Entirely average meal. Food was cold, pork tenderloin served in a bowl without a steak knife (making it impossible to cut and therefore eat), lobster Mac was dry and flavorless. Not my favorite meal. Our server was fantastic though, sadly I cannot remember his name.
I ordered the lobster Mac n Cheese. The lobster was so dried out it was difficult to pry out of the shell. The pasta itself was so bland and it could have used at least some pepper.
The lobster mac and cheese was bland and the wedge salad needed more dressing.
Service was spotty and they weren't that busy. The menu and execution from the kitchen is just really average, hard to justify the price. Also the beer wasn't cold.
Delicious meal; the patio was great; the pizza was done just right; and, the chocolate cake dessert was super moist and composed perfectly. AG
great food as al3ways - - service was great. Had to move table when storm came up and they really scrambled to keep all their patrons comfortable. Awesome
The Salmon was great. Dined outside which was really nice. Service was OK. Forgot our dessert and the server just laughed and said it must have gone somewhere else, but he would take it off our bill. How nice of him!
Ethan, our server, was great. A lot of fun.
We were at dinner for a second time, giving it another chance. Food was similar to first time we tried last year, fair. Surprisingly the brunch we have had there is excellent.
Had the mushroom soup, Caesar salad, and salmon. Husband and son had the Diavola pizza. Everything was fantastic, especially the salmon. Our waiter was friendly and attentive.
The food was good, but when it arrived at our table, to potatoes and eggs were cold. Probably because it sat on the counter, waiting to be served to us for too long. The service was really slow and it wasn't that they had a shortage of people working, it is just that everyone working there, except for the cooks, seemed to move at a snail's pace. It took 20 minutes for us to get a cup of coffee after we were seated. We never knew who our server was, and nobody checked on us to see if we needed anything. There are too many excellent brunch places in SLC for us to return to this spot again.
Thank you for taking the time to tell us about your experience, I am sorry that the service you received was not up to our standards. Sunday was nothing less than a disaster for us, as we have been struggling with severe staffing issues while being overwhelmed by an incredible amount of turnout and support from our community in recent weeks! We are working diligently to hire, train, and work out the kinks in our service, and hope that you will consider giving us another chance in the future.
Wonderful neighborhood restaurant. Awesome food and whiskey/wine selections.
