Lily was outstanding!! The food was incredible, Chef Dommen’s food is incredible!!
Mahalo for-making this a memorable experience!
Food was outstanding. Personnel, from reception to bar to waitress to sommelier were friendly, knowledgeable and extremely professional. The waitress and sommelier both spent significant time explain the menu and talking about wines. Made us feel like only people in the room.
My business associates had never been, I have, and recommended the restaurant. They were both very impressed and thanked me for an excellent choice.
Great dining experience. A special occasion venue. Cannot welait to go back.
Always great! One Market is a nice restaurant with good food and reasonable prices. My girls like to go there too - they have a good kids menu, and my 7 year-old loves the pasta marinara.
Dissapointed in food very ordinary
Tombo tuna salad was exceptional.
Corn soup was exceptional.
Loved the butterscotch pudding
We were greeted so warmly and taken to our seats. We wanted to sit at the bar where the chefs cook. Watching them was very entertaining and informative. Gary had the scallops and I had the snapper. Both were excellent. We will for sure go back when we are in town.
The food was delicious. I enjoyed an excellent cocktail before dinner, but would have liked a glass of wine with dinner. The waiter seemed uninterested in any suggestions of pairing wines for our meal. Nothing outstanding as far as service at all.
In general would say not bad. But, don’t order the octopus appetizer; absolutely tasteless. The pan seared duck breast was a disaster. Ordered it rare, to medium rare. Expected a crispy golden breast with a red/pink center. It came to the table gray, seemed as if it had been boiled yesterday. The duck sausage a bit too “smoky” but edible. The pork was delicious and very well prepared as were the soft shell crab appetizer and crude.
Desserts were all very well done.
Would give this restaurant four stars had it not been for the duck.
We had not been back to One Market for six years. We used to live in the area 23 years ago, and return every so often to visit with friends and always make it A point to visit One Market. The food is unusual and great.
the food was outstanding. The service impeccable and overall a great dining experience.
We were a bit worried about my husbands shellfish allergies and were assured that he would be well looked after. He was. We all were! Our marvelous waitress confided that she was allergic to stone fruit and took allergies very seriously. He had no cross contamination reaction and the food was delectable. He had the bacon wrapped pork tenderloin. I had the Ahi. We started with the chickpea fries and the octopus for me. Both were delicious although the octopus seemed a little skimpy for $18. We enjoyed our evening and relaxed as we noted the precautions that they were taking for my husband. As each dish came, he was assured of which ones were safe for him. Overall, a great dinner. Memorable.
The food was generally quite good. The seasonal corn soup was particularly delicious. The entrees were also good, not great, but good. The mushroom risotto was a little on the bland side, my companion's Cobb salad was uninspired - and lacked any bacon, which is really odd for a Cobb. At this price point, one expects a bit more pizazz. But it's certainly an elegant spot for a business lunch, and really conveniently located. It's also possible to have a conversation here without shouting, which is, unfortunately, rare in San Francisco restaurants.
Chicken was floating in a sauce that was so thin and stained anything it got on.
Sticky sweet stuff.
Love their July wine specials but overall go for wine and tater tots and eat at the ferry building.
A wonderful place to eat, and to try different things. Had octopus for the first time ever, and it was great! Very tender, which I heard is difficult to get right.
Quite acceptable .Good professional service but not too fussy.Food fine
Great venue and excellent service, but the food was terrible. Pasta was like chewing on old cardboard, sent back as inedible. Lamb chop was over 50% bone and under cooked. Salmon was tasty, but had been laced with liquid smoke to the extreme. No attempt by waiter to offer any adjustment to bill. Will definitely not return.
Another great experience at One Market! This time we sat in the main dining room and had a fabulous time. Our server was terrific; personable, helpful and proficient.
They were honoring Women in Wine and offering bottles for 1/2 off. We enjoyed a lovely Pinot Noir from Theopolis, owned by Theodora R. Lee. Our starters were their Soft Shell Crab crushed carrots, harissa,
nasturtium salsa verde and Lightly Smoked Tasmanian Ocean Trout "Mi Cuit" potato rösti, pancetta vinaigrette, pastured chicken egg. The Trout is one of their specialties that has been on the menu forever and I can see why. It was amazing! That could have been my meal:)
For our mains we had their English Cut Double Lamb Chop, fresh corn polenta, green tomato, niçoise olives, marcona almonds and Hot Smoked Wild Salmon chermoula, micro-cilantro. My fav was the lamb chop with it's accoutrements, which made it absolutely heavenly. For sides, we had sauteed spinach and chickpea fries, which were also exceptional and are now on my list of things to make. So healthy and delish!
Happy to see that after a couple years from our first visit, this restaurant still has what it takes to create an exceptional experience. Loved it!
Business meeting. Lunch Express Menu is always excellent and priced well. We'll be back soon!
This was my first time eating at One Market. I would highly recommend it. I had the fresh petrale sole as it was the special that day. Unbelievable!!!
1/2 price wine bottle offer was a lovely treat.
We really enjoyed our evening.
Great as always. Let’s vid the woman in wine special event- had the 2015 Merry Edwards Olivet Lane 2015 - a great wine!
Every time I go to One Market the experience is exceptional. It is an excellent spot for a Business Dinner or an intimate romantic dinner. This time I had the duck, which is always excellent. My customers had the steak, bone in aged 60 days. Exceptional meals, exceptional menu, exceptional business outcome. Thank you again One Market.
It was exceptionally LOUD (the room noise plus the piano player) which made it challenging to hear the conversation at our table. The service was NOT GOOD. Our server forgot to bring the sides my companion ordered and therefore they didn't arrive at the table until at least 10 minutes after our entree's arrived. We felt over-looked and at these price points one wants to feel appreciated.
Had a wonderful dinner with dear friends on Saturday night. We started with cocktails in the bar and they were very tasty. I liked that they used fresh lemon and lime and not a mix. Our table was ready on time, service was good, and food was delicious. We particularly enjoyed the day boat scallops and the duck. The atmosphere was perfect for our visit and we never felt rushed. We will be back!
It was our anniversary and I looked at the kitchen and had to listen to a loud fan all night when most of the restaurant was empty. Champagne was flat. The half off wine was the best part.
Service was perfect. Menu seemed a little heavy and rich for mid-summer, but still super delicious!
Excellent food. friendly and professional service with a very enjoyable ambiance wonderfully added to by a marvelous piano player. The very convenient location with access to all public transportation makes it a top choice when I am meeting friends who live anywhere in the Bay Area.
Excellent food. We had scallops that were perfectly prepared and wonderfully presented. The bartenders were expert and gracious. Service was all around great!
This is my favorite restaurant in San Francisco. Lived there part time 18 years ago and returned for a visit in July 2018. The food and service were great!!!
Not what it once was but still good. Best of all you can get in without getting a reservation weeks in advance.
The evening was a treat! We took BART -- with a short walk on Market to the restaurant.
The staff was alert and very thoughtful. We were seated with a wonderful view of the Ferry Building, etc The special dinner was perfect and delicious-- the menu for our sharing --and surprise special treat for the birthday boy! The chocolate dessert was spectacular! THANK YOU!!!
Fine, really fine.
When being seated we asked for a quieter table and our waiter politely and quickly accommodated us. The brisket sandwich was excellent. I suggest another salad on the menu. Perfect for business lunch. The waiters were professional and nice.
Great meal for our last night in San Francisco.
High quality cuisine and service.
Generally speaking we like this restaurant. This time the meal was so so. The first course was strawberry gazpacho which was very nice. The main course was a petrale sole souffle. The souffle seemed to be made of egg whites not the whole egg which I thought odd. The fish did not seem fresh. It was over cooked (dry) and salty and somewhat fishy. The pea pods used in the vegetables around the souffle were a bit over cooked. The color wasn't bright green. The blackberry pie was very good. It was the main course that wasn't up to par. The service was very good. The staff are friendly, especially the maitre d' who was very accommodating.
Requested a nice view of the Ferry Terminal and they pushed two two-tops together so we could sit side by side and enjoy the view. Food and service were both exceptional. We’ll certainly stop by there again on our next trip to San Francisco
Waiter was helpful, offered great recommendations. Generally very friendly team. Everything was tasty except the grilled octopus. It was bland and a bit slimy. Not at all what I expected. Everything else was great.
I was happy to get a reservation for myself as a reward for a successful business trip. I have come to expect excellent food and service from One Market, and I was not disappointed today. The Sweet Corn soup was delightful, and the Bacon Wrapped Pork loin was as good as the first time I had it many months ago.
We completely loved our lunch time yesterday. Walked into the door and greeted with a warm welcomed by the host. They even guessed the name we had reservations under. Having 1:45 reservation, I guess it was an easy guess...but made us feel special. We were seated at one of the nicest tables for a deuce. Our wait staff, Josephine was a charm and very attentive. She was great at making recommendations. We had the eggplant soup, chickpea fries, risotto and the beet salad. We shared everything, which was the way to go. Everything sounded so delicious on the menu. The pacing of the meal was perfect as we never felt rushed by the staff, even if it was near their lunch time closing. We will definitely be back.... oh, forgot to rave about the $5 martini/cosmo lunch special. They also had a delicious lemonade with fruit puree....yum.
