Great service and food. The by-the-glass wine list had great choices. Good atmosphere for the business meal and discussion.
I wish I had dined at One Market when I lived in SF. Great food, large, handsome room, loved the Alaskan halibut. Enjoy!
Excellent meal, great service and knowledgeable water wine recommendations.
Both the starter and the entrees for our group were bland and needed salt at the table, which is something I rarely do.
The Market Lunch was delicious, extremely plate presentable, and a good value. Super colorful on the plate and all the flavors for each dish melded together beautifully! Nicely done!
Very nice spot but the food wasn’t great. The chicken was too sweet and tasted like they dumped soy all over it. The frois Gras was tough instead of soft. And the French fries had sugar on them instead spicy. Very unbalanced in flavor overall. The staff was very nice but they seated us 15 min late despite having a reservation. The staff said their waiter needed a few minutes to catch up but upon seating the area wasn’t packed and remained slow for the rest of the evening. Not great overall.
We were disappointed to have our $25 glass of wine show is in a puny wine glass. Everything else was tasty and quite enjoyable.
I had the grilled octopus which was spectacular accompanied by a very nice caesar salad. A little expensive but well worth it.
Not sure what was going on the night we dined, but the service was terrible. We waited way to long for everything but especially our drinks. At one point during the evening we ordered a new round and after a wait all but one of us got our drinks. Our friend waited and waited until fed up just went to the bar thinking he would just order one , and lo and behold, he found his drink just sitting on the bar by it’s lonesome. We rarely saw our waitress.
We usually eat at One Market when we stay at the Hyatt Regency across the street. This time, the steak was not very tender, and for $50, a steak should be tender.
Everything - food, service, ambience - excellent. A bit pricey but worth it.
Lovely dinner with family
Good food, terrible service! The waitress just wouldn’t understand that my friend and I wanted to enjoy a leisurely lunch. She kept interrupting us and rushing us. When I commented that we weren’t ready for the next course, she snapped at us.
She made the experience most unpleasant.
The red quinoa salad was amazing. I even took half home and it was even more delicious the next day. It was quite loud and it was impossible to understand what the waitress was saying. Also we had to wait quite some time between getting our drinks and ordering lunch.
Always top notch. Excellent cuisine (American but like elevated comfort food) and service.
Delicious food, great service! Loved looking out the window at the Ferry building and all those crazy people walking by! I had the $25 luncheon special with a beet salad and sole with peas and smashed potatoes...well worth it! There were garnished with pea vines..surprisingly tasty!
Everything was fine especially the Chic Pea starter dish. However the Beet salad that was included in the $25 lunch special needs to improve; there should be more lettuce less garnishment and the Beets and apricots should be served in smaller pieces. it appeared as though it was just cut on thrown together!
Great find in SF. Food was terrific and the environment was perfect for our business meeting.
Unexpectedly great restaurant. We were placed on a table with the view of the Ferry Building. Absolutely gorgeous food selection.
For the price I feel that it was ok! The risotto needed something more to it’s flavor
I highly recommend dinning at One Market for the ambience, top quality service and the array of menu choices. This creative restaurant has chosen to share their 25th anniversary with patrons by offering on Friday and Saturday evenings a 3-course prix fixe menu with two options for only $45 (not to be missed) and then to cap this off a list of wines chosen by Wine Director and Sommelier Tonya Pitts who offers up an array of top quality wines at HALF-PRICE! We had a beautiful evening, with a pianist playing in the background, a multitude of amazing dishes paired with elegant wines and unquestionable service!
Thank you for a memorable evening! DSowerby
They were helpful and accommodating
Great place to celebrate 15 yr anniversary! Food & service was awesome.
Wonderful food by Chef Mark Dommen & a fantastic wine director, Tonya Pitts.
We chose the Downtown Social Weekend prix fixe menu. The $45 three-course menu was wonderful. The recommended wine complemented the meal beautifully. We were early for dinner and enjoyed a drink in the bar - very lively on a Friday early evening.
We had an early dinner on a Friday night and the bar was very crowded but the dining room nearly empty until close to 7 pm. The specialty cocktails were interesting and very good -- definitely worth a try. Appetizer choices were many and varied and we had trouble narrowing it down. The asparagus soup -- not cream of asparagus mind you -- was the best I've ever had. The Dungeness crab appetizer was replete with little bits of peppers and vegetables that enhanced the crab -- along with an indescribable sauce. Service was attentive without being obtrusive, although we waited a bit longer between appetizer and entree than I might have preferred. Wines by the glass included a good selection and the Kenwood Jack London Cabernet Sauvignon went very well with the butter-tender filet mignon. It came more medium than the medium rare ordered, but that suited my companion so that worked out well. He halibut was perfectly cooked and melted in the mouth -- one of the better pieces of halibut I've had. Overall a delightful dinner. We were too full to try the desserts but they were very appealing -- next time!
Our server Ryan was outstanding.
We appreciated having a booth by the window
Excellent service — professional and pleasant, from the host to the servers.
A preferred restaurant in the financial district for business lunches and dinners. Imaginative and well prepared dishes. Good wait staff.
Brought guests form New York and Houston and they were wowed by the location and ambiance, service and delicious food. When I need a place to entertain important people, One Market is it.
Food, atmosphere and service were great!
Excellent service. Delicious complimentary before-dinner amuse - bouche and after dinner migniardises. The ahi tuna salad was excellent, and so was the duck dish with smothered root vegetables with a delicious reduction. A wonderful experience.
We went on Friday night to listen to Billy Philadelphia play the piano while we enjoyed the special meal which was very good as was the music. Always a pleasure
Our dinner experience couldn't have been better. My son was in town on business and I had asked for a quiet table so we could catch up. KK and all the staff were so friendly and accommodating. We enjoyed our delicious seafood dinners (and dessert!) at a quiet corner table KK had reserved for us. We'll be back.
Great food and amazing bargain special menus. Wine list is world-class and very solid. Sommelier was extremely knowledgeable and enjoyed the wine I brought. Service was extremely inviting and friendly. The experience was very positive and I will return often. This is a great restaurant
Impeccable service and atmosphere. Classy enough but not stuffy. All was perfect!
Server was rude, food sub par
One Market is top notch ~ the food and the service outstanding! The Staff are well trained and knowlegable. Highly recommend. Thank you Larry Bouchard and Jose for making our special occasion a memorable one!
