Server was rude, food sub par
One Market is top notch ~ the food and the service outstanding! The Staff are well trained and knowlegable. Highly recommend. Thank you Larry Bouchard and Jose for making our special occasion a memorable one!
Great food and service. The live piano music was awesome. Appetizer was a bit small for its value. If back in San Francisco, I would visit again
This is a solid choice if you need a reliable restaurant in the financial district. I have been here many times over the years and have never been disappointed. On Monday night I had the Bay Scallops which I had heard so much about but never tried. They were delicious. My friend had the halibut and it was cooked perfectly, juicy and a great combination of flavors on the plate.
Love the warm fresh bread and the salads. Wine by the glass is reasonably priced for SF but I found the bottles quite pricey.
A San Francisco standard that never disappoints. All the food, steak, swordfish, appetizers were of the usual excellent quality.
We visited for our anniversary and everyone made us feel so special. We had the NY steak and pork loin and it was outstanding. Service was impeccable. We’ll definitely be back.
fabulous time was had by all. Billy Philadelphia who was at the piano was wonderful
Great menu, great service and ambiance for lunch/discussion.
For such a high-end place I was surprised they took away our plates as each individual finished eating, making those who were finished feel too speedy and those who hadn't finished feel rushed. Made a somewhat awkward lunch even more awkward.
We had such a great time. Shawn came out to say hi and we don't know how she even knew we were there! all I can say is that maybe one of your people overheard my wife and I talking about her. She is my wife's childhood friend and the surprise was out of left field. Thanks to whoever keeps their ears open
The atmosphere, food, and service were excellent. The location was great. We had a good time
I had not eaten here in years, so was curious to see how the restaurant was faring. I am pleased to report that the food here is excellent, and the space is as appealing as I recall. It is a large restaurant, so it's good for groups, but it is also nice for a date, and you can actually hear yourself talking here unlike so many places with poor acoustics. There is live piano playing, which contributes to the atmosphere, and the service was spot on.
The dessert of snicker ice cream bar was every bit as indulgent as it sounds. To me this is a place for which you should dress nicely, but there was a mix of that with people who had probably walked in off the Embarcadero in their windbreakers. I kind of like the mix of casual / dressy . It has a low key vibe with high quality food and service standards.
Delicious Food - Excellent Service we had a lovely multi-course dinner. Wonderful for lunch and for dinner. A SF gem.
Excellent seafood dishes- loved everything! Great service, comfortable atmosphere and the desserts are worth the cheat!
Good food and service. Will be back.
One Market did not disappoint. Hadn't been for dinner in a long time. They did a superb job all around. The Octopus starter was amazing, with two creative sauces. And our mains-Halibut and roasted chicken w/asparagus were perfectly prepared. We'll definitely go back soon.
A special celebration, we had a great table, a wonderful waiter, and it was just the perfect place to spend time with friends and enjoy a great meal!
One of the great physical spaces in all the world. But the service was clumsy and the food was between pedestrian and downright bad. Very disappointing. It has gone way downhill from what used to be a fine restaurant.
Food and ambiance was fine as was noise level. My major objection was the waiter who kept suggesting we add to our order—appetizers, side dishes, dessert. This was lunch! It’s not what I’d expect from a fine dining experience, something more akin to a Friday’s or Olive Garden.
Located near Hyatt Regency Hotel and Ferry Building at San Francisco waterfront. Reachable by BART. Valet parking available. The service is excellent. The dishes are good but somewhat expensive. Our party tried the beef cheek for the very first time. It was quite good. Will most likely good back for special occasions.
The waiter recommended the Flounder and it was wonderful.
Great EXCEPT for nose level. Get a consultant.
Always exchange my Giants tickets with a friend for the last 17 years. Never disappointed.
The waiter and servers were highly professional and excellent. I give them full compliments. The food was quite good.
A wonderful restaurant that consistently provides good food good service for good value in the heart of the FiDi.
Went there for my birthday with another family and had a great dinner. The food was good, especially the Beef Tongue and the Scallops.
Server was great even with kids there and Tonya the sommelier paired our meals with the perfect red blend that a was a delicious value.
Thanks One Market!
Food was great. Our server was exceptional. Would recommend this place
Over more than two decades, One Market has delivered fine food creatively prepared.
Having dined at One Market almost from the day it opened, I must say it is trending downward. The lunch menu is less expansive, and the offerings less enticing. The food is uneven-decent gnocchi, but the flounder fell flat, you should pardon the pun. But for the good location and generally good service, this would no longer be my choice for a business lunch, much less for a special occasion.
Waiter was great and food was delicious. Only issue was the host. My colleague had a plane to catch so we were hoping to be seated a bit early so we can leave quick. We made reservations at 5:30pm and got there at 5:27pm. We were told we still could not be seated. It was only a 3 minute difference so we did not see the big deal in being seated.......
Excellent service, food and ambiance. High ceilings and lots of room between tables makes it easy to talk
We had drinks in their cozy bar and then a lovely dinner in the restaurant. We had a wonderful round table that was perfect for conversation and the service, wine, and food were excellent!!
Felt a little rushed by waiter. Hurried to eat our food. Food was great but could have used a little more time to eat and talk. Dinner isn't speed lunch but we made it work.
Around the world I've been to hundreds of eating establishments in all the continents and now I can add the long list " One Market ".
Where to start? Well the people! Immaculately attired with an attitude of efficiency that is a joy to behold.
As for ambiance the corner lot on one of the USA's most famous streets sets the tone, with the above , for the meal!
When it arrived I wasn't sure whether to eat it or take it home for decoration as it was so beautifully presented.
To quote two famous Americans one told the Philippines " I will return ". The other a more "local " personage said " I'll be back". My sentiments exactly
Service staff seemed a bit off.
Always a good choice for good food and service.
One Market consistently meets our expectations and, many times exceeds them. I had the swordfish with Meyer Lemon gremolata and my friend had the pork tenderloin (his standard choice). All I can say is Yum! and Yum!
We used to be regulars, but for various reasons, we had not been there in 18 months. Definitely heartwarming when staff heard we were "in the house" and made it a point to stop by the Chef's Counter where we were seated to say hi and welcome back. It's that kind of a place.
Will add One Market back into our restaurant rotation. THANK YOU to Larry and the wonderful staff!!!
Hadn't been to One Market in a decade. 'Love the look/feel and the staff was lovely. The food was awful. Steak was chewy to the point of sub-Outback w/o the tenderizer. The Sea Bass was tough/stringy. I eat Sea Bass all the time and never experienced this... not sure it even was Sea Bass.
It will be at least another decade. Too bad
