One Market Restaurant

The Prime Rib Dinner on a Friday or Saturday night is an excellent value. There is also a piano player which adds to the ambience.
One Market is one of my favorite restautants in San Francisco. The food is always outstanding with excellent service. The prime rib dinner now featured is to die for.
One Market is consistent. And that is not a dig by any means, consistent in a restaurant is indicative of a well-managed resto. I was dining with an old friend, and One Market was my default. There would be no hipster-wait. The dinner was tasty, the service attentive but not hovering. Well-priced wine list. The menu is focused and the dishes were to our requests. The front of house was efficient, and as our catch-up conversation ran long, there was no pressure for us to leave our table. All in all, a solid choice for dinner.
The prime rib was terrific. The accompanying spinach was too salty for either of us to eat. The mashed potatoes were average. The ginger peach iced tea was unavailable. The room was so dark, my husband had a real problem seeing the food on his plate. The service was great.
I enjoyed the drinks, service and ambiance, salad, desserts but a little disappointed with the Prime rib quality and I rather have my prime rib roast that rotisserie. Overall is excellent, i shall return with other food on the menu. 5 stars
We had such a GREAT server! The wine list was so incredible. I want to come back just to get more treasures off such an amazing wine list. The prawn louis salad was pretty disappointing otherwise it would have been a higher rating on the food.
The Surgeon was amazing. Tried 4 desserts and lived them all. The Apple pie was fantastic Service was great.
Awesome service as always and the crab cakes NEVER disappoint. The chopped salad was wonderful! My “GOTO place with clients”
Booth request was totally ignored, never addressed or mentioned even though requested. We were initially placed at a table near the entrance door and piano player even though the reservation was made one week in advance. The seating was crammed together. Cocktail service was poor resulting in a delay to receive at our table.
The meal was really good. The service was incredible. Look forward to going back again.
Room felt too big
We live in SoCal but get to visit SF at least twice each year. And we ALWAYS go to One Market and we are NEVER disappointed. Great menu, service, and ambiance. It's always a treat to dine here
Atmosphere was perfect for business lunch.
One Market Restaurant is my favorite restaurant. The food is consistently delicious and the service is excellent. The staff is very efficient and hospitable.
Food was excellent and service very good! Highly recommend but if its a business lunch it does take some time.
I wouldn't say the food was awesome but it was very good. I have no problems with the food, just that I've had better elsewhere. What I want to rave about is the excellent service we received. The waitress was simply amazing. When we had an extra person show up unexpectedly, management had no issues moving us to a bigger table. They had a pianist in the front, which was nice but a bit loud. After we moved, the ambient piano was quite enjoyable. I would definitely come back.
If you enjoy salty food, this is the place for you! It felt like they emptied the box of salt in my Ceasar Salad. Unbelievable!
It would be nice to see more reasonably priced vegan options.
Their business lunch is a great value.
Great service! Food was good, snapper was thin and lots of dark meat. Not the best I’ve had there. You win some you lose some.
The dishes were good size portion (not too fancy-small) , location is easy for everyone to come, and the waiters were friendly.
Trout was excellent (as always); soup as well; salad had excessive dressing (suggest that it always be 'dressing on-the-side' (?)
Everyone was exceptionally attentive and gracious to each one of us. It was an absolutely outstanding experience. It felt like we were in a private room. I cannot rave enough about our experience. OUr server, Georgiana, was fantastic!
Food, atmosphere, and service were great. It was a bit chilly in the dining area ... we kept our coats on. Prime rib was done perfectly.
Delicious food for special event! My group was so lucky to have Georgina as our waitstaff! She was such a professional and very attentive! 5 stars for her too!!!
I like One Market and it is sort of a go to easy location and reliable. However this time, the food was really mediocre. Very disappointed. The mushroom soup, while flavorful, was thick and gloppy with a very unappetizing consistency and the greens in the soup (maybe fresh parsley) had a lot of stem and where not adding anything to the soup. The scallops were on a risotto which was good but the scallops themselves were questionable and I am not sure totally fresh. The apple pie dessert was good.
We went to One market for a friend's birthday and I was blown away. I ordered the African-American menu for Black History Month and loved every dish on there (except dessert). The beet salad, the beef short ribs, and the sides were all amazing. Honestly, it was one of the best meals I've had in years. I couldn't recommend this restaurant more highly.
The house cocktails were perfect accompaniments to delicious delicate octopus and chickpea fries. The salad was refreshing. The entrees were also light and perfectly prepared as explained in the menu. The desserts were outstanding and worth saving space for!
Best in the City from my perspective. From the time you walk in the door the professionalism and team work is clearly evident. No doubt someone in Management knows it's the people, all the people, that make a restaurant experience top notch.
Yes, do recommend it frequently; after many visits over 26 years the star still shines. Especially nice on the weekends when there is no after work crowd to navigate.
This was our second time at One Market. Both times the service was impeccable and the food fantastic. We were seated right away by their stellar host KK, who pulled out all stops for both visits by decorating our table for the special occasions. Our waitress, the runners, and the sommelier were all very attentive, knowledgeable, and quick with any requests. We never felt rushed, forgotten or over-attended. To top it off, the piano player adds a special and subtle touch to the ambiance which already offers soft lightening and a superb view of the Ferry Building and the Bay Bridge. The food is fresh and as good as it gets. We had the Prime Rib which was cooked to perfection, tender and succulent. We'll definitely return!
The Black History month special menu was well worth the visit. Been missing 1301 on Fillmore, was great to get some of Chef David’s special short ribs!
Always a pleasure here.
Look, I loved the food. The service was very personal. Was it the best dining experience I ever had? No. However, it was a top notch dining experience. The weekend prime rib special was different than and other weekend prime rib special, TRUST. My wife had the risotto. The risotto engulfs ones mouth with flavor. Get a wne to pair the food with and you’re golden pony boy.
Great place for small and large groups. Great location. Food is excellent. Bar is very lively.
Amazing food and service, got a nice walk around the water after. Great place!
This is one of our go-to restaurants in the City. We love the special menus during holidays. We were recently there for 2018 NYE early seating and this past Valentines' Day. Creative, innovative and delicious menu items; great wine list and craft cocktails; attentive and friendly service; and wonderful location at the foot of Market with views of the Ferry Building and the Bay Bridge.
Great restaurant- excellent food, outstanding service . . .
It was a special pre Valentine's Day
And the meals were spectacular as was that Rippon reisling!!! Service all around something you can be proud of...thanks John
