I've never had a tough tenderloin, but sure got one here...service was spotty
From soup to nuts this restaurant was worth every penny!
Everything about our experience was simply PERFECT.
Staff very slow in serving the dishes and not attentive to customer needs. He took away the wine glasses before asking if we wanted it.
He did not bring bread if not after much stress.
He seemed confused
Food is consistently excelllent. Recently had snapper. Wow!
The lunch menu at One Market had something for everyone with a nice selection of steak, seafood and salads. The service was excellent without being too stuffy. My party of four shared a couple of desserts which were very tasty and the perfect size for all of us to have a few bites and feel satisfied without being overly full. The restaurant was full but still quiet enough to have a good conversation without “yelling” over everyone. This is a great place for a business lunch or a quiet dinner for business or pleasure.
Great business meal for 4 and all 4 of us loved it.
We dined here for my 30th birthday and it was delightful. The staff and management were extremely attentive in a sincere way. Our waiter even brought an amuse Bouche to the table compliments of the chef. We were lucky enough to be there on a Saturday night and could not resist the bone in prime rib dinner. Excellent. We are major wedge salad lovers and this one was the best we have ever had. We had a 6:30 reservation which was early but worked for our sitter but I would say it really starts to hum around 7:30. The live pianist elevated our experience. We were given a gift card as a date night over the holidays but would 100 percent return over and over.
Great night after the Shen Yun show.
Ate a late dinner but the food was very good. They stayed open until.we finished. Very nice waitstaff
3 small scallops for $36 was very substandard.
Oven fan was so loud we moved tables.
Live piano was great!
1/2 price wine list featuring Freemark Abbey for only $45 caught my attention but then they came back and sold me something else I never heard of.
Since we were in a hotel, I sliced my prime rib up into bite size pieces for takeaway. Unfortunately, when I got back to my room, only the bone was in my takeaway box.
We went there with family for an early New Years Eve dinner. Our meals were very good. Loved the warm Acme bread. Service was outstanding. Waiter and kitchen were careful about our food allergies even on a busy night, which is something that we really appreciated. Lively crowd, even for the early seating. We will be back.
Maybe we were not lucky that evening... we both, my friend and I, had the same dish and had an indigestion, nightmere
We appreciate the efforts & service but we were not lucky!
We have always tried to visit One Market every time we travel from Arizona to California to visit old friends. This time I decided to make a reservation after we had lunch at Marie Callenders in San Jose with friends we met while on a cruise out of San Frfancisco. My wife especially enjoyed the chocolate dessert as she really likes chocolate mousse.
Both of us thought our entree and salad were prepared beautifully. We loved our waiter who was a lot of fun and helpful. The drinks and desserts were good- min were a Cosmo and tiny creme brulee. I was especially happy that we could talk in normal tones and the sound level was very low.
the only problem is seating, made reservations many weeks in advance, walk in and the taciturn woman at the counter sends us to a table ten feet away, why would any party of four want to sit by the door, complained and were given much better table, sorry to say saw a family of four in their Sunday best later seated at the door table, sad when other tables were still available.
otherwise our waiter was great and the food likewise
We were very impressed with the food and we live in Yountville which some think is the culinary capital. The celery soup was the best I have ever had. The main courses which were the octopus ragu and the risotto were exceptional. All servers were also top of the line both anticipated our needs. Short story a 5 star experience.
Holiday celebration with friends
Always with superb food and service. Never disappoint us every time we dined here. Attentive to all our need without even asking. Highly recommended.
Reliable option for client meals - a little pricey but the food is always good!
Enjoyed our dinner with friends to celebrate special occasion.
We had a wonderful evening, celebrating a birthday.
The appetizers were excellent, especially the beet carpaccio and the crab salad. For main courses, the New York sirloin was cooked to perfection. The halibut and red snapper were also excellent. We also ordered sides of Brussel sprouts and roasted cauliflower. The best part of the meal was desert, chocolate mousse cake and creme brûlée.
Service was also great.
Had sand in my risotto - overall tasted very good, but hit a portion with the sand, turned my stomach. For the price I expect perfection. The ginger lime drink was very good.
Excellent and thoughtful service and very good food. We were thoroughly pleased.
I ordered crab cakes as an entree. I had a choice of 3 or 5. I chose 3, based on experience in other restaurants where 3 was enough. Each crab cake was the size of a fingertip. In essence, the item should have been on the appetizer list. Plus they were tasteless. My two companions ordered cobb salad. They told me that the salad was edible, but not outstanding. Neither finished the dish.
There was 3 of us and 2 order prime rib, the other risotto. After waiting over 1 hr and half the meal served was cool, not even warm. Risotto fine. The server offered to heat it or prepare another. We were so tired, waited so long, just disappointed and wanted to leave. The mgr brought us new dishes, did not apologize, offered it for free. Most importantly, i was so disappointment since I recommended this place. Reservations were 7:30, served by 9. We left without eating. Totally disappointing!
Everything was perfect except the prime rib au jus was a little bitter and tasted like they added balsamic vinegar to it and there wasn’t enough of it either that made the meat a little dry. Also the meat was lukewarm.
Highlight of the meal was Spanish octopus starter - beautiful poached halibut was overwhelmed by a very strong balsamic sauce; potato tots were huge and we never saw homemade ketchup. Large serving of prime rib was mediocre at best. Scallops were likewise ok, but nothing special. Wine server lectured us about the wine we had independently ordered and with which we are quite familiar: much of her information about the winery was incorrect.
A very mediocre meal in noisy surroundings, at fairly dear prices.
I am in San Francisco for work every week and have been making it a point to try out different tasting menus / wine pairings. Of the 7 places I've been so far, I enjoyed this one the best (and less expensive than all the others). The food was top-notch: the amuses bouches, kampachi, octopus, foie gras, scallops, and duck alike. Furthermore, it may have been the best wine pairing I've ever had. The sommelier, Tonya, is extremely knowledgeable, personable, and made it a truly remarkable experience. I will certainly be going back again and highly recommend this place!
One Market is our go to place when we go to SF. The food is consistently good and the service is excellent.
The chef at our lunch used cilantro that overpowered the delicate flavour of the acorn squash soup... The crab in the crab cakes tasted spoiled... Altogether bad food.
It is our good to restaurant for special times. The food and service are always first rate. Every part of the meal was excellent.
For the money you spend , service should match. Food was great, sommelier very friendly and informative. If I were to choose to spend money for a special occasion in this neighborhood the restaurant I would choose is "Boulevard ". Just not what we expected.
The reception was very welcoming and helpful, seating us in a banquette and close to the music.
The food and music were very good.
Second time for Thanksgiving dinner. They hit it out of the park again !
We feel that One Market had over extended themselves on their reservations. My husband we arrived at 6:05pm and were told that we would be seated on time. We finally got seated close to 7:00pm. Needless to say; I was very hungry at that point! Also; my husband & I have an issue in respect to how they handle their "gratuity".
I do mind paying for great service why should customers be encouraged to pay gratuity on "Sales tax & Employee Health Mandate" as well?
Our server had "suggested greater than a 20percent gratuity on the "whole bill" rather then on food she was very poor in calculating her figures. The total amount did not add up right!
We went to One Market for Thanksgiving Dinner and the experience was wonderful. This is not an easy holiday to serve, and the quality of the food, atmosphere and service was terrific. Our family is grateful to have such a thoughtful restaurant in our beloved SF!
Food was good but at these prices, I expect great. Service was inconsistent.
