Private Dining

Our two private rooms, the Club Room and the Atrium Room, can hold up to 40, or 80 when combined. The Bay View Room or the Cesar Pelli Pavilion can accommodate 125 seated, 200 reception. Still larger groups, 850 seated, 2,000 reception, can utilize the entire restaurant or Cesar Pelli Pavilion.

Around the world I've been to hundreds of eating establishments in all the continents and now I can add the long list " One Market ".

Where to start? Well the people! Immaculately attired with an attitude of efficiency that is a joy to behold.

As for ambiance the corner lot on one of the USA's most famous streets sets the tone, with the above , for the meal!

When it arrived I wasn't sure whether to eat it or take it home for decoration as it was so beautifully presented.

To quote two famous Americans one told the Philippines " I will return ". The other a more "local " personage said " I'll be back". My sentiments exactly

Hadn't been to One Market in a decade. 'Love the look/feel and the staff was lovely. The food was awful. Steak was chewy to the point of sub-Outback w/o the tenderizer. The Sea Bass was tough/stringy. I eat Sea Bass all the time and never experienced this... not sure it even was Sea Bass.

It will be at least another decade. Too bad

We had the lunch special, two courses for $25. That’s a good value. The additional crab/butternut squash soup we ordered to share was $19, hence the 4 stars for value. Excellent service although the collision between the server and a bus person resulted in a glass of white wine getting spilled into Tom’s coat pocket of his leather jacket and hat that was in the pocket. Profuse apologies and offers to pay for dry cleaning followed. No permanent staining so no dry cleaning needed. Smoked brisket excellent. Skate in brown butter caper sauce good.

I hadn't been to One Market in a while and I was again reminded how good it is. I was there for lunch and had the quinoa salad; my friend had the crab cakes. Both were outstanding. The blending of flavors in the salad was wonderful. My only complaint is that it is very noisy, but that is common in restaurants now.

Very nice ambience. Paid $99 pp for Valentine’s Day and did not feel we got our money’s worth for the prefixe priced dinner. Neither of us liked the cabbage on the duck or the fish. Dungeness Crab salad was tasty but small. Apple torte and chocolate dessert were also both small portions but were very tasty. Zinfandel glass of wine was excellent for $16. Service was excellent. Enjoyed pianist although tried to sit farther away so we could hear each other talk.

The fixed priced lunch was outstanding. Salad and a main course. Excellent presentation and selection of sauce and extras. The brittle cake to die for.

I've dined here at least monthly for the last 3 years. Initially the food was very good. But in the last 6 months, the plate looks the same, but the food on the plate increasingly sucks.

This week I ordered the dry cured, bone-in NY strip medium rare. Part of it was medium rare, and the rest twitched when stuck with my fork. More importantly, this $45 piece of meat was extremely lean and 'CA via TX' tough -- like it walked here from there on a Jason Fung diet. If I want a collagen-rich diet, I can order Jello.

Who ever is in charge of the kitchen, they need someone new. In the interim, they need to deliver a credible ROI. Perha;s I will go back in 6 months and report if progress is being made. In the interim, go somewhere else.

Great dinner. We dined during their Thank you SF half off event. Made the whole meal particularly good whe. Its half off. Food was good all around....but at half off was great.
