One Door East
Global shared plates, featuring both large and small plates, is the concept behind the menu at One Door East.
Loved the ambience of the place. The food was very innovative but slightly salty for my taste. We went for the restaurant month menu and also ordered Beef briskets on the side which was a little salty but it could be me. Drinks were great!! Would definitely recommend going and trying out this place once.
Tapas style place. A lot of small bites to try. It’s on the pricey side, but it’s worth it.
The food was excellent. Went for Crave menu & will be back soon for regular menu.
We had ten different items and they were all delicious. Highly recommend the brisket and octopus.. the drinks were equally as good.. speciality cocktails and service were top notch
It was my daughter’s 19th birthday so we were hoping for a lovely dinner experience. Your staff made sure all was perfect, from the excellent wait staff, to the food and atmosphere, all was exquisite! Even the piped in music had us all smiling and asking Siri “What’s this song?” Thank you for a memorable evening with the family, we shall return.
Lucas our waiter was great. Not too pushie but the right balance of service and attention.
From friendly greeting on reception through excellent dinner service and good food all made for a very pleasant evening. Our two guests were at One Door for the first time and said “ we will definitely come back with friends of theirs.”

Food was great as usual. Derick was outstanding. Very attentive great personality but also a great articulation of the menu.
This was our first visit to One Door East. We were celebrating our anniversary and wanted to try something different. Our very good friends joined us and that made it even better to try more. This was the perfect choice! It’s very interesting how the small plates are served when they are ready rather than in what we would consider sequential order. I’m sure our waiter had a lot to do with that too👍. We started with house smoked fish dip that was incredible and a beautiful beet salad. Next, we had slow cooked beef gyoza and sautéed shishito peppers. That’s not all! We had spicy black pepper and beef udon noodles with braised mushrooms. Delicious! Lastly, we ate the wood fired skirt steak with chimichurri/lime. It sounds like a lot and it was, but remember that they are all small plates. We can’t wait to go back and try some of the other items we missed. Highly recommended.
What a great restaurant!!! Food was great, fresh and tasty. The vibe was hip, fresh and on trend.
We went during their monthly art event which was combine with pride week. The food was excellent when it finally came out. The service was really slow, it took us 2 hours to get all our food and another 30 minutes to get our check. We were so ready to leave. Also, we couldn’t actually enjoy the restaurant as this event came with a DJ blasting music like a night club. I would try this restaurant without an event and hope for better.
We had high expectations coming in. Two friends had recommended the place and one had bought us a gift certificate. While we weren’t dissatisfied with the food it wasn’t as spectacular as we felt it was going to be based on what we were told. In all honesty, I felt the dishes were overpriced for what they were. I do recommend the ricotta toast, it was delicious!
Very unfortunately we had poor service. Our server was patronizing and borderline rude, but there was a helping hand who was absolutely delightful and friendly, he poured our wine and made us feel valued. The bussers and runners did an amazing job actually and I applaud them. So I’m not going to write off the service completely, it was just the one person. This could’ve just been an off night for the restaurant, but it could also have been a better night for us.
Great service and food. Quiet night so not much atmosphere but that is Fort Lauderdale in the summer I guess.
What a memorable meal. Everything was delicious but standouts included the brisket, Brussels sprouts, ricotta toast, beet salad, skirt steak, Nutella cookies. Our waiter Lucas was terrific. He added to our meal in every way and lead us through a great evening.
This is a more casual restaurant than it's cousin next door, Valentino's, which is more fine dining although the food here qualifies as fine dining in my opinion. There is a sizeable bar and tables are placed in the surrounding area. We went for the prix fixe menu, which had items from the main menu on it. The spicy tuna tacos were perfect. They had a crispy shell, perfectly prepared tuna, avocado mezcal mousse, and cilantro. The server told us to squirt some lime on it and I did on the first one. I found the lime overpowering as it masked the subtle flavors of the dish. I did not use lime on the other two. We shared an interesting salad of bibb lettuce. The dressing was light. The surprise was that it had a kick to it, which we enjoyed. The main courses were petite marinated chicken / mexican mole / cotija cheese / pickled fresno chili, which was fabulous. It was not like other mole that I have had in that there seemed like there was less chocolate. I was so pleased with it that our server sent me home with a container of the sauce. Our other entree was spicy black pepper & beef udon noodles / braised mushroom / snap pea / scallion. When I think of udon I think of the soup version, which this was not. This was incredibly flavorful. I would definitely go back and explore more of the menu but I could repeat exactly what we had.
I’ve have been a bunch of times but this time was not up to par. The service was terrible and the food took forever to come out. Overall was not satisfied.
Always a wonderful experience. Best burger around and Kallie is a wonderful waitress.

Ultimately I was disappointed. I give them points for trying but like most restaurants in the South Florida area they fall short. The menu is interesting with small dishes in the tradition of Spanish tapas. If your going to serve a small focused dish in front of a hungry ambitious diner it’s got to be spot on. As an example, I ordered the bbq brisket. As most know, brisket is an inexpensive cut of beef that with care and skill can be one of the tastiest slices of meat you will ever eat. The brisket served was bland and tuff to chew. Another dish, tuna tacos, was tasty but light on the tuna. It’s the little things like putting enough tuna in a taco that makes the difference between a great restaurant and just another restaurant.
Great vibe and particularly good service. Food was exceptional and drinks are always a good thing. Pricing seemed a bit high, but hey, it’s high cost Florida. Not an every day thing, but well advised for a special treat.
Service was very snooty and did not seem to have time of day for us. We were celebrating 2 birthdays and they charged us for the cake! The food was tiny and average. Super loud and very pretentious. Be sure to wear your best shoes because it’s the sort of place that’s only about the “scene”. We won’t be back and we dine out with friends frequently. We shall warn them off this high priced ripoff.

It was just ok. Under seasoned and over priced. The tomato & burrata had zero seasoning, and salt is not offered on the tables. The brisket was painfully dry. The beef udon was Chinese takeout in a nice dish. Great service, but won't be back.
Great place... very nice variety of foods and wines, especially wines. Great for parties, birthdays and just for get together.
Every time we dine there we have a nice experience. Wait staff, cocktails, amazing small dishes. Not much else to ask for.

I went with a small group of friends. We were greeted in a friendly manner, the restaurant and the bar were beautiful, and the service superb. What we appreciated most was the wonderful variety of small plates that were available to order...perfect for us with one vegetarian, one fish only and two who can enjoy everything. It was a wonderful dinner with great ambience and attentive, helpful service...we will be back soon!
The menu is tapa style and is great for sharing. The staff was exceptional at timing the food. It’s wonderful to try a little of a lot of dishes.
We had an awesome experience at One Door East! No issues making a last minute reservation. The ambiance was great - modern and unique artwork, dim lighting, sleek furniture. Our server was very knowledgeable and helpful with both food and drink recommendations. There were three of us and we ordered about 10 different dishes to share. Every dish was fantastic and perfectly portioned for sharing. It was fun to be able to try so many different things. We would definitely recommend to friends and will be back!
Great ambiance. The food and drinks were great. It’s a little pricey but worth it!
Started poorly 2 entrances to valet cars were at a standstill. We ordered . The drinks took 25 minutes. The first plate came a half hour later. Then while EVERYONE around was feasting we never received our other 4 plates. The cowardly manager never came to our table. After 1.5 hours we left hungry. Oh by the way it was a bday dinner. Not even an apology.
I am a local. I will tell all my friends to stay away. This place is terrible.

The food was delicious and the service great. But we were seated on the bar side which was not to our liking. We were a table for 2 and could not hear a thing we said to each other

From the art lining the walls to the meal, our senses were enthralled from the table set before us with recommendations from Greg , our Server. Beers flowed as a women-brewed beer release consisting of a porter well laid with vanilla, coffee and chile.
Lucas is terrific! The service was excellent. The only issue we had was the price for a scotch whiskey was higher on the final bill than it was on the menu. The manager tried to explain it to us however we felt it was inappropriate but said nothing. The kinks need to be worked out so that the menu price is reflected in the final bill price. The manager explanation took away some of the positive feelings of the evening.
