Loved the Desserts!!!
Excellent food, service and ambience-- definitely recommend it!
Amazing amazing amazing can’t wait to go back next time I’m in LA ❤️❤️
Really nice staff and great food. Everything was coursed perfectly and server recommendations were spot on.
Food was fantastic, service was amazing. Go check it out.
My husband ran the LA marathon in the am.
Jim and the entire Onda team were awesome!
The food was fabulous!
Cocktails were amazing!
Outstanding food and service. Everything was amazing. Will definitely be back.
The server Jim made the experience
Food was excellent
Service was great
Atmosphere and design were very nice
Great dinner with great service
All the flavors were interesting and unique, but the menu makes it very difficult to do anything but taste. I don't know how to make a meal out of this menu.
Modern Mexican food with Californian twist. Lovef everything about the food. The space is slightly hotelly but the nice interior w my favoutite Mogensen chairs compensate well.
Really great overall experience.
Great food. Magically inventive, riffing of standard Mexico City themes, transformed into unimaginably savory and delicious treasures. Oh yeah! ¡Qué buenísima ONDA!
The food was delicious and innovative - the dips for chips, cactus in salads, the turkey quesadilla. $17 margaritas were pricey for the size and ingredients. The room is great and I’m looking forward to going back.
Onda is just exquisite. Epic. Romantic. Fun. Compelling and interesting. Amazing!!
Second time at Onda. Wanted to try it again because the food was a bit salty the first time. I love Contramar and Sqirl so much so I wanted to give it a second chance, alas the food was still so salty. Maybe I’ll try brunch. Hopefully third time’s a charm.
I can’t believe this is the menu and execution of a famous, award-winning chef. First, the crab tostada was terrible. They should tell you that it’s 1) virtually tasteless and 2) served ice cold (the other tostada is hot. The octopus dinner was also barely edible. While the other two dishes had virtually no flavor, the octopus was insanely spicy (and I like spice) and uneven in flavor/heat so some bites were fine and others were almost inedible. The tortillas it was served with were too flimsy to hold the octopus and fell apart. The wine list is a joke. Finally I don’t normally complain about prices but if I have to drink a $20 glass of red wine from ojai can you please give a proper pour?! Meanwhile you’ve got uovo, colapasta and l’anea down the street with flavorful, handmade, delicious food, happy service and for the most part, far more interesting wine lists. Onda needs a serious rethink on its food.
Our waiter was amazing, the food was pretty terrible. We were very disappointed.
Dissapointing. Too bad because Gabriela Cámara is a great chef and her restaurants in Mexico City are great. But this one is absolutely bland. No flavors. Every dish is forgettable. Service was not good either. Besides having a reservation -that was confirmed by the restaurant the very same day- they didn't find it when we arrive at the restaurant. They gave us a table "as a favor". That's what the hostess told us! And don't even think about saying sorry or bringing anything to the table. Waiter was good.
I left hungry and dissatisfied.
It was Absolutely fabulous and I cannot wait to go back when we are in town again!!
The food and service was amazing. The noise level was REALLY loud.
The vibe wasn’t right for the occasion. More casual than I thought. Food was just okay.
We had a nice birthday dinner but unfortunately there were some very negative aspects to the experience. The restaurant at no point wishes my wife a happy birthday, there was no candle, and to top it all off, her parents had called ahead to pay for part of the dinner and something special, which we were never alerted to and were too embarrassed to ask about. We received a phone call later saying they had forgotten somehow and that we could come by to receive a gift card.
To recap, great food and service, but unforgettable mistakes that can’t happen at a restaurant of this caliber, or it’s just another cookie cutter high end hotel restaurant that leaves you wanting more of the promises and expectations than the reality of what it is, disappointing.
Service was friendly and the place is chic. But the food is absolutely terrible and expensive.
Outstanding food, inventive use of local ingredients, our servers were engaged with heaps of knowledge about each dish. While all the dishes were perfectly conceived & delicious the corn tortillas were transcendent.
Amazing food and service.
Surpassed our expectations. The service was outstanding - some of the best in the city. The food was interesting and thoughtful. We would definitely recommend - especially for an expense account meal.
Ate at the bar and had amazing service. Will be back for sure!
started out with fresh inventive cocktails accompanied by the addictive Corn Nuts...
Followed with crab tostada - fine, but nothing special
The turkey Quesadilla was great, and we shared a very good spit roasted half chicken, but the piece the resistance and the thing I'm likely to return for was the sweet potato served with fresh tortillas.
That sauce was amazing - and craveworthy!!!!
Sauces overwhelmed the food. Just cook good food.
Delicious and creative plates with amazing service and drinks. Loved it
awesome awesome awesome!!!!!!!! So happy to have this place walking distance from our home
Some dishes were spot on and some a huge miss. Bland tasting but fancy looking. Servers hang out and chat and don’t pay attention to tables and the chairs are uncomfortable. Nice location.
Our waiter was exceptional. Truly great service.
This was my second time for dinner at Onda in 3 days. The food was great!
The food here is AMAZING. We loved everything we had. Can't wait to come again!
Great new Santa Monica restaurant. Food was unique and delicious.
