Booked a table for 2 at 9pm on sunday, after talking about and spending a long time wanting to try onda together after hearing lots of good things from friends and social media. We arrived 10 minutes early for our booking, however when we were given our table we were sat on a large table that already had 4 people eating on it, and we were sat on the end. I understand we had arrived slightly early, but if had been given an option or asked if this would of been ok, we would of much preferred to wait as we found this awkward and didn’t really feel comfortable until the other group had finished. This also meant half way through our meal that a server came and sprayed and wiped the table , i understand that this was done to reset that part of the table for more covers but we just found it abit off putting. However i would like to say we really enjoyed most of the food, however struggled with the parsley and garlic pasta because of an incredibly intense raw garlic taste (the nduja pasta, and the crab pasta were amazing). I wouldn’t usually write a review being critical however because we had spent so long excited to try the restaurant we were abit disappointed because it was only these things that stopped it being really enjoyable, however would be willing to try it again in the future.

We completely understand how your seating experience may have impacted your overall enjoyment. Had you let us know at the time, we absolutely would have done our best to accommodate you at a separate table. A lot of our guests prefer to be seated as soon as they arrive, which is why we offered you the available seats at the shared table a bit earlier than your scheduled time. We try and make everyone as happy as possible and it seems like unfortunately we just haven't achieved this with you! We really appreciate your comments, and we’ll take this on board as we continue to improve. We do hope to welcome you back soon!

Great food, really well cooked. We all enjoyed our choices for sharing and we loved the friendly staff and the dining room and location.

Good venue in a nice gentrified square. But apart from the food, everything else was not so nice. Service is bad, although I'd like to return as this was the 1st time I went here. Why was service bad? 1) 10 minutes for focaccia and olives to arrive, these were ordered as soon as we sat on the table 2) our server didn't warn us how small the portions were (again 1st time in this venue) 3) we stood 10 minutes waiting for our server to take desert orders 4) when our server went to the table for deserts, we asked for the bill instead. It was thrown to the table without consideration for the clients 5) server was confrontational when we told her to remove service charge for the reasons above.

Visiting home from Detroit and have been looking forward to this for ages. Food, drinks, and service were outstanding. Onda was worth the wait.

Gorgeous atmosphere, efficient yet caring staff. Shout out to Kaia in particular, she gave us good recommendations and was attentive. Probably the best pasta I’ve ever eaten so far.

It was our first time visiting Onda for dinner. The staff were super friendly and welcoming. The restaurant itself had a super laid back, chilled vibe to it and the decor was very aesthetic. The focaccia bread with trio of butters was delicious, we then ordered the vodka pasta and carbonara both of which were super fresh, packed with flavour and the pasta was amazing. Great selection of cocktails and wines which were also very yummy. Only let down for us was the desserts, two of us got the tiramisu however the sponge was very bitter with the flavour of coffee and the cream was slightly bland. And the gelato with cherry, chocolate and Italian meringue was not as tasty as it looked. I felt the chocolate was too bitter to the taste but the gelato and meringue were very nice but wouldn’t opt for it again. Overall we will be back for the pasta definitely a highlight for us.
