A local group of friends, Chris Arreola, Trudy Cooper, John Cooper, Michelle Ponte, and Chef Chris Ponte have created a Kitchen and Bar in historic Hyde Park Village. On Swann is a contemporary American bistro featuring a seasonal menu… thoughtfully sourced with local character.
The zinc bar encourages exploration and curiosity with spirits, cocktails, craft beers, and a wine list for all.
The open kitchen prepares a menu designed for sharing lighter offerings or having your own coursed meal.
We encourage you to walk-in and enjoy the fruits of our labor and to have an experience that's memorable.

Love it - Love Chef Ponte - amazing food - great vibe
I was advised upon my arrival that they did not have my reservation and that they no longer use Open Table. They still sat me. I still enjoyed my drinks, my meal and bring able to sit in the section of my favorite server (Megan). I don't have any negative feedback because I was still accommodated but do feel OT could've communicated the change
On Swann is amazing BUT THEY DON'T ACCEPT RESERVATIONS THROUGH OPENTABLE. OpenTable says they do, but it's not true. Our reservations were not in their system and they said they haven't used OpenTable in months. But they were extremely accommodating and gave us the next table that came up. We only waited a few minutes. Excellent restaurant, amazing food, fantastic service.
Always enjoy the food. Only issue is too noisy to have a conversation with people at your own table.
Great food, great service, fun place to be. Will be back soon! :)
Great for any occasion! Food is always amazing and the drinks are spot on!
Salads great, wine selection great, entrees not so great
Our dining experience couldn't be any better. The food was fantastic, the service outstanding and the ambiance and vibe electric! Highly recommend for any occasion.
Our first visit to On Swan was a delight. We have eaten at Chris Pontes other restaurant, Cafe Ponte, and we were not dissapointed with his new one.
When we dine out , its difficult for us to find a restaurant that has such top quality food. My husband is a chef and what we usually find is meals that are ok ......but we usually could make it better at home!
Lisa our server, took her time and explained menu options to us.
The service, food and ambience was exceptional. We look forward to returning to try other menu options.
We enjoyed the tuna crudo, carrot soup, mushrooms tartine, short rib ragu, and the cobia !
Great food and service. Very accomodatrly for people with food restrictions. They will make special meal for people with food alletgies. The only drawback is that the noise level is very loud.
Great food, if you can endure the noise. We had to shout at the server and across the small table to be heard. Don't understand why this is so trendy; high-decibel dining? Not our cuppa tea.
This is the 3rd time I have dined at On Swann. The food is consistently good and the service is good. The owner or manager visiting the tables to "check on things" is a nice touch!
Nick was a fantastic server. Service staff all excellent, great attention and interactive tone from phone to table. Good vibe. Great food. Foie Gras butter... are you kidding? Insanely good. My wife stole most of my food.
Jessica was a wonderful server. The food was delicious and I would go back in a second.
Hip, cool and lovely food with a pretty inside room and also a lovely outside area. The steak for two, pasta with short ribs and farmer board were all outstanding.
It was wonderful to have a classy lunch experience. The food was excellent both in preparation and in presentation.
Our server (Cali) was amazing. She took the time to go over menu items and make suggestions. We thoroughly enjoyed our meals and our experience there.
I love On Swann. I have been there several times for lunch and never been disappointed. On two recent occasions, I have chosen On Swann for visits with special friends, some from out-of town. They, too, have been impressed with the food, service, and decor. (In particular, the shareable Mediterranean board is an amazing combinations of tastes, textures, and colors, and enough for 5 as a first course.) I know that it's difficult for restaurants to maintain high standards week after week, month after month, and year after year, but I hope On Swann can manage to keep doing what they're doing.
Excellent food,service and ambiance
Great local restaurant with impeccable service. Entree selection is winderful and not the run of the mill choices !
My new favorite lunch place.
This is probably my favorite place in tampa. The food is always amazing. The service is top notch and the scene is on point.
If lunch is any indication of what On Swan serves for dinner, we will return. Our server, Kristin, was delightful with good suggestions and a sweet personality. We especially loved the cheese board with decent portions of cheese and delicious accompaniments. We need to come back and pursue the menu.
Lindsay our waitress was fun, energetic and kept things moving
The Cobia and Grouper were over the top! Delicate, well balanced flavors made these our favorites!
Food, wine, and service were very good. However, the noise level is crazy. Struggled to hear my friend sitting directly across from me.
Service was exceptional, very attentive. The appetizer board pleased many palettes. THE ASPARAGUS BISQUE CAPITALIZED ON THE CHEF'S TALENT. The rib eye was beautiful to look at and delicious to eat, but don't share with just two; it could serve four!
We looked for a popular restaurant with great ratings and we're NOT disappointed. Great vibe, service, and most of all fantastic food.
Loved the ambience! Lamb meatballs were delicious as well as steak tartar!
The food and service is always really good! The noise level can get a bit loud
Very nice venue with open kitchen and contemporary decor. Had dinner here with my neice on a Sunday evening. Service was personable and attentive. I had the Whipped Ricotta Corn Dip as an appetizer, we shared the Lamb Mestballs both were excellent. For a main course I had the porkchop and grits which was a excellent modern twist on a southern favorite.
There is a nearby free parking garage which was convenient. Fortunately we made a reservation a few days in advance as there was not a single empty table
My only complaint is that it is very loud. It is an open room with all hard surfaces so there is nothing to obsorb the noise. The management really needs to invest in reducing the volume level.
Been here several times, always quality food, but always slow kitchen. Huge lag after ordering before food arrives, much longer than normal good restaurant wait. I'm sorry to have to downscore Service category because server was actually very attentive and always brought drinks quickly. In addition they seat you quickly no waiting. But when a restaurant is this successful for so long I have to wonder while sitting waiting so long, are we being iced so we will buy more drinks? Or are they just disorganized in kitchen? On food: we always get the foie gras butter, amazing. This time had the chicken (cooked perfectly but uninspiring flavors and thick bland breast), burger (dry aged with pimiento cheese--amazing!), fries (awesome) and oysters (average at best). Previous visits had pork belly bun -- great! Also have had the gnocchi which was above average but not great. Wines by glass have been hit or miss, avoid Vouvray white it's way too sweet.
Love the vibe at this place but the food was not great. If you are a foodie, the menu reads really well and sounds great. Overall thought the food was just okay...did not leave us feeling like we had to come back to try more.
Service was great though and the vibe is energetic and fun. Definitely a hip place. I'd go back for drinks and maybe appetizers but it would not be on the top of my list.
Food was great, service was great, overall a great place for a date night
Birthday. It was great food a great server victor and great drinks!
Excellent from appetizer to dessert! Nicolas, our server was great at answering our questions! Management was very attentive and made certain everything was as good as we had hoped.
Wonderful Food and service as always. Consistently great.
The ambiance was beyond compare. Very tastefully decorated. The beautiful marble tables were a bit small for 4 people to eat at comfortably since the plates are enormous. They use up-cycled silverware and actual wood plates. When they tell you they are serving you an appetizer board, they are not lying. It is actually on a board that practically takes up the whole table. Food tasted delicious but was a bit foo-foo. Enjoyed the overall experience, but as my son stated, it is a girly brunch get together type of place.
It was our first time going to this restaurant and we thoroughly enjoyed it! Great ambiance, the food was fantastic especially the chocolate flourless cake. Had a very nice server. Would highly recommend.
