Omni Hotel at the Battery Atlanta Restaurant
We went for the Mother’s Day brunch. The food was absolutely delicious! Having the jazz band and flower bar were excellent additions to the meal. I don’t like breakfast food or eat meat other than fish. There were plenty of varieties of scrumptious dishes for me to choose from. I will be returning!
It was the perfect mother’s day brunch! The food was seriously amazing and I can’t wait to go back!
The food at the Mother’s Day brunch was very good. However, the service was lacking and they were rushing us to leave even though they had several empty tables. We had to order condiments and drinks through other servers because our was missing in action. We saw her several times after receiving our bill, which we didn’t ask for. I don’t like to be given my bill when I’m not finished ordering drinks and I didn’t ask for it. It was hard for this to be a comfortable and relaxing family gathering because of the server rushing us.
Excellent service and fabulous food!
Excellent food and service! Had a terrific time.
you need to update your database. We showed up only to learn they are out of business :-(
I’m sure our meal would have been delicious had they been open. Was allowed to make a reservation through open table, valet parked and told them we were going to the restaurant, dragged our 9 month old inside, only to find a sign on the door that said “for service see lobby bar” and the doors locked. Checked with lobby bar... pastries only.
Well, we booked the reservation and got to the restaurant and it was completely closed for a private event. We were not contacted. We went to Cru instead and had a great time.
My husband and I wanted to try something new in the battery and gave Achie’s a shot highly recommend others to try this place out! The serving staff was attentive and personable and knowledgeable on the food items! The cocktails were incredible and not your average gin and tonic ;) we had the meat and cheese board to start then the scallops and ribeye for dinner. The scallops were amazing 10/10 would recommend to a friend and will Be dining back at achies!
Brunch - It was barely okay. The potatoes were crispy and tasty and my food was fine but it was boring.
A friend told me that the Hugh Acheson's and so I'd been looking forward to trying it out. The omelette was okay and but the only interesting thing was the Boursin cheese spread that was just dolloped in the middle. The salad was a dry pile of arugula with a uninspired dressing. It's certainly not difficult to wash some leaves and toss on the plate. One table mate's sausage was rubbery and my husband's chicken and waffle was rather disappointing.
Essentially, nothing was interesting.
But what brings the score down is cost. If it had been a cheap breakfast, it would be an okay place. At those prices it's just not worth it particularly when you have to deal with the parking at The Battery to get there.
Not surprising that the places was mostly empty on a Sat morning.
The service was very slow. The place didn't seem to be overly crowded and things were slow every step of the way...from the time it took our waiter to first show up to the time it took to have him pick up our credit card.
We ate at Achie's before a Braves game recently. In general, the cocktails were a bit expensive for what they were and the food we had (a burger and the chicken sandwich), was fine but nothing special, really. The wait for the food was not too long and the fries were very good, though. I might go again before a game, but I would try many of the other dining options around first.
This was a poor experience. It's relatively expensive, bland and the waiter was slow and not helpful at all. Disappointing.
We had a front table to the festivities of the Braves game and the Battery Park on Sunday night. It was a GREAT experience. Once the trees in front of the patio mature for some additional shade it will be all things amazing. Can't wait to visit again.
Breakfast was very good. The Buttermilk pancakes were outstanding the the sausage was surprisingly good as well.
Our second breakfast in as many days.
We were NOT disappointed. Avocado toast, great. Lemon pancakes, yummy. Omelet, cooked just right. Cute pyramidal tea bags, really neat. It's all good.
Wonderful breakfast for the energy required to explore the Battery area. Fresh ingredients, nice table settings and very friendly.
Great place for a business meal. Always seating and great food!!! One of my new favorite places to go.
Delicious food, nice drinks/bar options. Other than slight mishaps, a pleasant experience.
Sweet waitress but they were short staffed, just waited a very long time for even our drink order.. food took even longer and not served together.. but it was delicious
We celebrated our 45 anniversary at Achie’s. Had the meat and cheese board as an appetizer and was very good. Eating light so we had salads also very good. Nice atmosphere and good service. Wasn’t very crowded. We would go back again.
Achie's is a good choice for a quick dinner if you are staying at the Omni and going to a Braves game. The food is good , but not spectacular. The menu is not extensive. Our server was efficient and very friendly and people watching through the window onto The Battery was fun. We had an issue with the wine we ordered but our waiter more than made up for it.
Our service was amazing from beginning to end! Our hostess was amazing and our server was very attentive! We all had amazing things to say about food and the drinks! I will definitely be back!
We were there before an afternoon game and had a great time. Service was excellent and we were not rushed to leave our table- thank you Patrick!
Service was great. We never felt like we were being rushed. Our son loved his burger and fries, maybe we'll get that next time. My shrimp and grits and my wife's scallops were good but a small portion w/ no side. Dessert was okay. Price of the burger was fair but the others were not when no side was included. Get a table by the window to watch people outside The Battery esp. if an event is going on.
Good spot. My new work/business meal Go-To. It is a nice place and a good midpoint between for those meeting ITP and OTP. It is never full during breakfast or lunch. Which is nice for work meals. I feel the wait staff can be a little slow durning those slower times. Especially, since there is not that many people there, but I do appreciate them giving us space. Just wish they would check on you more often. Wish there were more veggie options as well. Over all great space and food. The clients I have me there have been really impressed. There's something missing there and I can't quite figure it out. It is like it needs a little pep in their step. I have been for breakfast and lunch. I am curious about going there for dinner. It is definitely worth checking out.
Amazing food. Tomato salad is a MUST try, along with the house G&T.
Definitely enjoyed the mojitos conjured up by "Micheal "!!! Brilliant presentation of the meal and Sanya was very friendly and helpful with the menu selection!!!
Went before the game vs the Dodgers, walked right in on our reservation, nice service and people. Burger was ordered medium and came out without any pink. Still good.
We waited over an hour for our food... We made a reservation here for 5:30pm so that we could make a 7:10pm game. By the time our food came we had to eat everything so quickly that nothing could be enjoyed.
For a restaurant at the battery, they really need to work on their service.
Delicious food and great service by Sergio! What more could you possibly ask for! The fact that the Brave’s stadium is just outside the doors is a definite plus!
The restaurant looks top notch but we walked in on a Tue night to zero patrons and no employees at the front or bar despite our 7PM reservation. We thought it may be closed. After being seated (we had to grab our own menus as the server just walked off to seat us without them) we all commented how strange the experience had already been. Our group started with cornbread (a Southern staple) all three of us thought it was terrible and had a bitter after taste.
We did enjoy the entrees but the service was bad to terrible, the wait staff had very little knowledge of the menu and our overall impression matched. Won't give Achie's another shot with so many other options around the area.
We dined and watch the crowd before the Jason Aldean Neon tour concert. Great food. Things were very busy so the service was a bot slow. Otherwise greatly enjoyed out experience!
Great restaurant we found right next to Suntrust Park with no waiting. Great service, good food & regular food pricing.
Why are poonts not eligible for this meal?
100 points were selected at booking.
If there is no solution, unfortunately now I have to find another restaurant that offers points for this regular meeting.
Horrible service and food. Out of many items. 5:15 reservation and did not get food until after 7 and it was cold then. Missed opening act to concert. Need more wait staff and better service. Nothing was done to accommodate or rectify situation. I ordered shrimp and grits and the plate had 3 Shrimp on it! Horrible.
Excellent atmosphere, nice craft beer selection, interesting southern-style comfort food, restroom way too small.
Great food and service. Upscale restaurant located inside the Omni hotel, right outside of the Chop House located in Braves stadium. I suggest a reservation. Plan ahead if you want to eat here before or after a home game.
I really want to like this place and the food is quite good. But they seem woefully understaffed. Our first visit was a month or so ago on a Saturday: one bartender
but because it's a double sided bar, he was MIA a lot of the time.
I booked a table for 7:30 this past Saturday: I'll admit I didn't know about the Zac
Brown concert when I booked it but figured the reservation would make everything OK.
We showed up earlier and the entire Battery was swamped! We decided to just wait
at Achie's but again, they were incredibly understaffed. I saw one bartender struggling
to keep up and the second have to leave the bar and cover the front desk. I asked to
see a hostess so we could check in but the woman I spoke to made no effort to find our table or even go to the front of the restaurant (which was swamped with people). They ran out of tonic before 7 so no gin and tonics. The poor bartender admitted that on the most crowded day of the year, they were incredibly understaffed.
The crowd eventually thinned out and we made it to a table. The food was fine but the poor waiter seemed exhausted from the last couple of hours (we saw a bunch of the staff cooling out and recovering in the back). I think the food is fine and the evening was not spoiled. But they really do need to prepare for events like Saturday and make sure they have adequate staff on hand, particularly at the bar.
Horrible experience. We, along with other patrons, waited 45 minutes past our reserved times. No hostess was seating anyone and we finally sat ourselves when a table opened up. I found the manager and shared my frustrations with the poor service. She stated that a few workers had called in sick and that caused the delay. I commented I understood, but as the manager, she needed to let patrons know. Even after my feedback, I never saw her again, not even to check in us when we finally got our meal. The food was good and the circumstances were unfortunate, but the manager needs to work ion her communication and, well managing.
