Omakaseed brings experiential dining and a unique flair for service to a vastly underserved market within the plant-based community. With a focus on Japanese-inspired vegan omakase, Omakaseed seeks to continue the mission of the team behind Sushi By Bou We focus on natural, minimally processed ingredients, highlighting seasonal and local produce. Omakaseed puts an emphasis on conscious cuisine and expanding the palettes of all who join us, vegan or not.

60-minute, 15 Course Vegan Omakase is $65++ per person. Beverages may be purchased at an additional cost. Please arrive a few minutes early.

Omakaseed 24-hour Cancellation Policy: A 50% per person fee will apply to cancellations and no-shows for reservations made within 24 hours of reservation time. Parties who arrive more than 10 minutes late can not be accommodated and will be subject to the no-show fee. Text 347-997-1615 to cancel your reservation within 24 hours of the reserved time. No phone calls, please!

Anyone who wants to go on a fun food adventure centered around plants, fruits and mushrooms will enjoy this! I love sushi and omakase but the environmental damage and expense are hard to reckon with...this is a fun alternative. Plus, they made a delightful vegan mochi ice cream plate for my birthday. Very highly recommended!

Fun concept and experience for those of us who do not eat fish. However, the timing was indeed very tight (one hour seating - we were fully aware of this) and I thought each item could have been a bit more different (lots of soy and wasabi on everything).

The experience was outstanding! The food was amazing as well. We were Kate for our reservation and to not miss out on the experience our server scheduled us for another hour same day. It was worth the wait!!!!! All staff was professional and provided great service. Most importantly my best friend whose birthday we were celebrating that day was satisfied and full! Will definitely be going again!

The food was amazing and delicious, the chef was so kind in explaining every course but we had reservations at nine and we were rushed through the whole experience. We were rushed and finished 15 courses in forty minutes… felt as if we needed to leave and that unfortunately made the experience… not excellent. Also, very overpriced for the whole experience

Wonderful meal! Each dish was carefully prepared and beautifully presented. The meal was a very creative and fun vegan adaptation of Japanese omakase and truly exceeded my expectations. Enjoyed interacting with the chef and other diners. Great cocktails!

Omakaseed was the perfect vegan Japanese experience. The chefs kept the courses coming and each one was a flavor explosion! My favorites were the smoked pineapple nigiri, smoked eggplant nigiri and the tomato nigiri! Glad we found an amazing restaurant for our special occasion dinners. Don’t miss out - this is an experience to remember!

Outstanding!!! I went their for the first time, Thursday night. I’ve tried Kajitsu and Shojin (LA) and this place blew those restaurants out of the water. The omkase was fantastic!

The staff was knowledgeable and personable. We had a good conversation and a couple jokes with each staff member, they were very inviting and friendly. The food was absolutely phenomenal! I was trying to think of elevated vocabulary to properly describe to them how much my taste buds were enjoying their creations. Highly recommend to everyone!

It was great to find a vegan restaurant in midtown but the music was WAY too loud. My server even asked the owner to turn it down and he just looked away.

We had a vegan omakase for my husband’s birthday and could not have wished for a better meal. All the dishes were delicious and unique and changes every two weeks with seasonal produce and served by the chef behind the bar. Everyone in our party would go back again!

Horrible experience The food is mediocre Nothing special They want you out of the restaurant in one hour. They rush the food and the check! The 2 chefs aren’t even doing the same menu. Don’t go there . Better options in the neighborhood

Wery overpriced for what it is. Almost no protein in the meal. Fancy presentation but not extremely flavorful. Dirt Candy & Kajitsu are better vegetarian meals for the price point.

Food was good, some dishes amazing, some dishes not as exciting. The chefs were great & explaining what was in each dish. Feels like they try & get you in & out super quickly. I think we had gotten through all of the dishes in 45mins - so good pre show if you’re in a rush. Not a place you would go back to but nice for a change.

Omakaseed is an unusual restaurant - it's Japanese-focussed but with a touch of hip - in the service and decor. The concept of having 8 people at the counter for a vegan Omakase meal individually prepared by two Sushi chefs is not novel in itself, but Omakaseed makes it fun and intimate. Food was really innovative and tasty. Good drink selection. Highly recommend.

I love regular sushi so was super intrigued to try the Omakase vegan sushi. I was pleasantly surprised to find that the food was really innovative and delicious. Every single Nigiri piece was very well balanced in terms of flavor and the flow / order was great. The setting is fine -- not overly complicated and actually pretty casual. The experience is one hour, which definitely feels rushed as I'm not used to eating like this. I like to take my time and savor the flavors and that's not really possible with this style. Lastly, I found the host incredibly rude and abrasive, which made for a lackluster experience.

Eh, cute concept but mediocrely executed. Waitstaff was bizarre and seemed untrained, reaching through us in distracting and frequent ways, interjecting often to tell us proper way of eating, chef was being trained in front of us , dessert was served before our last hand roll, felt rushed, seated us super late
