Best sushi in Chicago. Great beers as well.
Some of the best sushi I've ever had...maybe even the best. Great, intimate place.
The dessert is great！
Dinner and a show! The ambiance of the space combined with the superior quality of the ingredients made for a most memorable experience.
An incredible evening of superb food. Each piece was beautifully presented and the flavors were amazing. Spanning subtle to deeply engaging, the meal progressed at a comfortable pace, with only simple guidance. We were introduced to two fantastic sakes to pair with our meal. It was in the end a worthwhile adventure, and I felt the price was commensurate with the experience we had. I look forward to another visit. And the chef is deserving indeed of his Michelin star, announced the afternoon after making our reservation. Bravo!
The sushi was absolutely incredible, and we’ve had some of the best in Japan and on the West Coast. The setting is fun—Chef Park puts on a great show and the fellow diners at the tiny sushi bar were friendly and appreciative. If you like sushi, you’ll love Omakase Yume.
This place is perfect. Every bite was amazing. With only 8 seats, reservations are necessary. Service is very attentive.
Amazing experience. It was a very close and intimate adventure. We wished there would be more unique fishes, but the current selection was fresh, great quality, and left us satiated.
A deeply memorable and once in a lifetime experience.
Amazing meal!! Very deserving of the Michelin Star!
Every course was amazing, and chef was super helpful and insightful. Any time we had questions, he answered them fully and then explained even more than we originally asked. We're thinking next time we go out even for normal sushi that we should switch to nigiri after this experience.
Easily the best sushi I’ve had in Chicago.
delicious. every dish was fantastic. great sake and beer selection. awesome experience.
excellent food， and excellent service
Intimate dining experience with amazingly fresh and creative sushi hand crafted by Chef as you dine!
This place deserves the full 5 stars. Omakase Yume was so delicious and just felt so special from start to finish. Every bite of fish was fresh and tasty, and from the minute you sit down you just feel an overwhelming sense of hospitality and care that goes into the entire experience. Couldn’t have been more pleased.
Wonderful experience - excellent chefs choices. Fresh sashimi at its best!
An absolutely wonderful experience. Don’t think, just book it.
What a lovely place to celebrate a birthday. The restaurant is very intimate and the chef prepares the entire meals right in front of you. Dinner and a show! The sushi is incredible- melt in your mouth magic.
Overall a very special experience.
Best Edo style sushi I've had in the US. The chef was great. Just like being in Japan! The fish were divine. Eyes were closed while experiencing such delicacies. Will go back.
For the price, there are much better omakase options in Chicago. The alcohol selection is limited and priced fairly high. The fish is not as impressive as other places; better toro can be obtained. Many of the fish I was looking forward to see underwhelming but fortunately those I didn’t expect much of, turned out better than expected.
For those looking to have an omakase dinner, I’d suggest looking elsewhere.
The foods r great especially in Chicago. But a Little bit pricy.
Omakase Yume was incredible! Each bite was perfect and the service was wonderful. I will definitely be back!
Great food. The presentation was perfect and it tasted amazingly.
Everything was perfection. Once in a lifetime quality plates.
Omakase Yume might be a good place for newbies to this style of sushi. It's an introduction to the genre that won't ruffle feathers. However, to an omakase veteran, this place is decidedly average. The flavors of the fish are all masked by the same, smoky soy sauce infusion. Every piece tasted very similar to the next. The chef was efficient, and the water filling service was rapid and unobtrusive. The setting was nice and intimate--only 8 spots.
The restaurant did not honor a substitution request--at this price point, they should be able to substitute a single item on request. That seemed a bit oddly inflexible and not in keeping with the best customer experience.
It was definitely not worth the price tag. I was disappointed that I have had a better-tasting omakase in St. Petersburg--surely, Chicago should best Southwest Florida in this regard. I wouldn't come here again.
Outstanding, impeccable sushi in a serene atmosphere. Service was highly professional and no-fuss.
Eight seat Omakase was a great experience for sushi, presentation and ambience.
Food was phenomenal! Service was amazing. Chef Park prepared each dish with precision and care and each dish had its own unique flavor. Would highly recommend to go!
Chef Park imports fish and ingredients of the highest quality from Japan and creates an Omakase menu that is an absolute masterpiece. By far the best, most original sushi experience in Chicago. Upon entering the restaurant you are immediately teleported to Tokyo. My wife and I celebrated our honeymoon in Japan and Omakase Yume brought many delightful nostalgic memories back with each bite.
I wish I could get a reservation for every week!
Absolutely stunning. The care and hospitality towards diners was exceptional from he very beginning. Personalized name plates in this small 8-seater sushi bar was a nice touch. The actual meal was a show in itself. While conversation is by no means discouraged, watching the chef prepare each course was honestly awe-inspiring and quieted almost everyone. The flavors were so well balanced and course selection so well thought out that the food was the main topic of conversation after each course. Each course seemed to build on the last course. It was an exceptional experience and it seemed everyone was equally impressed with the food, the presentation, and little details that made the meal worth its price. Would come back again in a heartbeat.
We had an amazing and intimate dinner!
Chicago needs more of this. A perfect little spot with a perfect omakase experience. I will be back.
The food is absolutely amazing. For years, if I am craving for REAL sushi, I have to fly to Japan. There are usually too many ingredients in one roll and I really can’t taste the fish itself. Yume provides high quality fish options and you really can enjoy the true tastes. Also, the rice is cooked perfectly that I think is another key to high quality sushi.
Service was great. Food was good but a bit different from authentic Japanese Sushi.
Absolutely FANTASTIC all around!!!
Everything was amazing, unique and really enjoyable!
Incredible! The food and service were amazing. Absolutely worth a visit for a special occasion.
