Hated the chef not going to lie, and they were so stingy about portions, like the couple next to us got a singular cheap skinny candle for their birthday and nothing else

Great experience, top notch sushi. Compared to many of the $300-$500 this is a steal. Sushi chef was very kind and thoughtful in his explanations. The chawaushi spent baby eels was unreal and the uni temaki was awesome. Will be back

The overall quality of the food is great. However, for the price, we do expect slightly more meticulous and elegant presentation of the food, and less people per chef. Max 6 people.

Celebrating our anniversary and we couldn’t have been to a better place. Food is delicious and service was prompt and professional. Stellar experience with Chef Shin. Domo arigato!

We have an omakase experience every Valentine’s Day and this was among the best (and we have been to some excellent ones). The sushi chef and hostess provide the highest level of service even apart from the excellent (in all respects) sushi quality.

It was one of the best dining experiences I’ve ever had. An incredible meal served by a knowledgeable and talented chef. Hostess was beautiful kind thoughtful and very attentive. I could never go back to an Rossi restaurant after that. Price point was perfect but the food and restaurant exceeded excellence

The chef was so nice and very friendly. The food was on point. Their lighting is stark and very bright. Maybe dim them a little or warm up the space. Overall the sushi was very fresh and delicious. Their Sake selection is wonderful as well.

My fiancé and I came here as a pre-wedding celebration and had the time of our lives- couldn’t recommend it more! The attention to detail, attention to our individual tastes and palettes was all attended to by both the Chef and support staff. Could not have recommended a better dining experience, especially in NYC where they’re notorious not to care at all. If you want to feel like you’re not in NYC but rather in the heart of Japan, enjoy here.
