   My wife and I had a lovely experience. It was a traditional sushi experience with high quality fish. The courses were nicely sequenced and we left feeling satisfied with our meal. The space was bright but comfortable and intimate. We had a lot of fun and enjoyed our time. They charged us $10 for water which I felt was a little tacky considering how much we spent on the full experience but that’s splitting hairs. Overall, it was a great omakase experience.

   The food was incredible as was the chef and watching him prepare everything. We really enjoyed every bite! My complaint is with the sake/wine list. The sakes were all starting at $150 a bottle and up. Most over $200. The cheapest sake was a $70 8oz carafe. The only wine by the glass was Chardonnay at $38 a glass. We asked if they had any sparkling or anything else by the glass and they said no. It was offensively expensive drinks- like they assume if you are spending $200 per person to eat you don’t care how much drinks are?? We ordered water and without asking us if we wanted tap (we did!) they poured Evian. 4 bottles of it at $10 a bottle so $40 for water. It was disappointing at such a lovely meal to not be able to just have a glass of water or a reasonably priced drink. They are connected to Le Grand Boucherie, and we were the only people there- I wished we could just get a glass of anything from their bar!

   The experience, service, and food was incredible. Unfortunately there were two people who decided that having a very loud conversation was appropriate. That was not the issue, using vulgar language was highly inappropriate. The staff did not speak to the individuals, which I can understand. But the experience and price of the meal, demanded the staff intervene. Finally I asked the pair to stop with vulgar language. And I was met with a singular comment “free speech”. This was disrespectful to the chef, staff, and other patrons, and ruined out experience

   Very good service. Food is great too. Very neat and tidy dinning room, very Japanese style, peaceful atmosphere. Will come back.

   Food was amazing, every bite was an experience, and watching the chef make each one was a real treat. It was very quiet, a little piano music or something I think would have been nice to help with the atmosphere but that is really nitpicking. Loved our evening! 16 courses was almost too much!

   Kanemaru-san delivers an authentic Japanese sushi meal with grace and good humor. His kyubei credentials are very evident in his delicious otsumami and sushi. Highly recommended as a previous Tokyo resident.

   Food by Chef Kanemaru was outstanding! Hospitality was great as well, with a lot of personalized attention and fast response. Will definitely be back!

   The dinner was outstanding. Chef Kanemaru service and selection of the items in the course meal was very good. We really enjoyed the fatty tuna and sea urchin. The quality and taste of the food resembles what you could get in a high end sushi place in Japan. I highy recommend this place without any hesitation.

    Chef prepared a wonderful menu with a front row view of the sashimi service. 8-10 seats per service. Drink options were excellent and service was fantastic.
