Join us Saturdays and Sundays for Tapas Brunch Buffet from 10:30 AM-2:20 PM!
Unfortunately service wasn't very good during this visit to the restaurant. Our waiter was no where to be found after taking our order. We heard that they were short-staffed that evening and our waiter was also helping out at the bar. The food was still very good but service was not up to par.
Great vibe at the bar. Short wait for table during restaurant week but nothing major. All courses of food came out really fast and were great portion sizes. It gets pretty hot towards the back near the oven so try and get a seat towards the front unless you are dressed lightly.
Very bad experience and had to wait almost an hour after our reservation to get our table. We asked for our drinks comped and they refused. On top of that, it was a dinner for a special occasion.
Wonderful experience - definitely planning on coming back! The shrimp & chickpeas and the meatballs were phenomenal, and the cocktails complemented our meal nicely. Our server was able to recommend an very good sherry to complement our dessert, too!
Good restaurant, but the foods were too salty. The service was great!
Food was fabulous. Waiter was wonderful. Very accommodating to my food allergies. Second time there. Will go again soon.
My friend and I recently went for restaurant week so we got a great tasting of the menu. The eggplant was out of this world!!! We sat at the chefs counter and Alex kept us engaged during our whole experience. Can’t wait to go back for another meal.
The food was really good. Really good. My only quibble is that the Restaurant Week menu was not a particularly good value compared to the a la carte menu.
We waited one hour to be seated. Our reservation was at 9 pm, and we got seated at 10!! Open table was the reason of the delayed seating, according to the hostess.
Never a bad meal or a bad drink at Oloroso, always great! Oloroso is always consistent like all greats should be. We have never had a bad meal or experience and always look forward to coming back for a meal and drinks be it at a table or in the very nice bar.
The overall experience was very nice at Oloroso! The food was very well prepared and the waitstaff was professional and pleasant. Also, very nice drinks!
It was busy but that was expected. The food was incredible and the planets we were served on were all handmade. Our server was really nice and we honestly had such a great time!
We were first timers and taking advantage of the restaurant week special. The food was amazing, servers very attentive and pleasant. Also, loved the dim lighting, music and overall vibe. Would definitely recommend and go back!
The food was good. We share some tapas, but what was terrible is the service. The server seemed like trying to figure out if she wanted to take care of us with another server. She took for ever to take our order. She never check on us to see if we like the food at all.
After closing our check we wanted to seat at the bar and get another bottle of wine but the bartender didn’t want to serve us. He said that they closed at 11 pm implying that he didn’t want stay there.
I am so disappointed to dine there for the first time and had an awful service.
A Mano is soooooooo much better. Specialty cocktails were extremely disappointing, so our second round we decided to order classic drinks.....not good either. A lot of vinegar in the red beets....not a balanced dish. Pork belly was extremely bad.....had two bites and decided it was not worth the calories. Overall....not going back.
I went with three friends. We loved everything we had! Definitely recommend the scallops. We even got a second order of the mushrooms...and the cheesecake. And the robust sherry selection is a fun twist that sets this restaurant apart from all the other great places in Philly.
NYE prix fixe was delightful.
Very good service, especially for New Year's Eve. Unmatched (in Phila, anyway) sherry selection. Sampled quite a few dishes - most good but there were several misses.
Food very good except paella that tasted like it was reheated from the day before. Very copious and interesting dishes . Sparkling wine flat . Friendly and hardworking waiters . They could have used a few more . All in all we had a lovely time for New Year’s Eve . Good value too .
My friend and I enjoyed an awesome NYE dinner here! The servers and kitchen staff were clearly busting their butts to put out so many amazing dishes to a packed house. Even Chef Wentz was there overseeing it all. I can't say enough about the excellent execution of each dish. The paella was delicious and the desserts were to die for. I will certainly be back another night but thought they did an amazing job on a very busy night!
Wonderful food and great service
The pre fix menu was not in favor of all people in our party.
We came for Saturday brunch buffet. It was unexceptional. Nothing exceptional about the food. Maybe their entrees are better.
Delicioso!! Muy buena comida !!!! Vale la pena si están en philly !! Recomendado!!
This is a terrific restaurant. We kept tabs omg things and each dish was better than the last. To top it off, the churros were perfect!
We came as a party of 4 at 1 pm on a Sunday for their buffet-style tapas brunch. The place has great ambiance and decor. There were only about 2-3 tables that were being served, so service was quite good. We got a pitcher of red sangria that was on the lighter side. There was a good selection of food to choose from and 2 plates is really all you need to get really full. The food was good, but obviously if sitting out a little bit, some were lukewarm. Some items were running low, but we asked for them to make some more and the server delivered the food straight to our table, in this instance, the codfish balls. I do wish some other items were included such as flan and octopus. Nonetheless, it was a very pleasant experience and would come back, maybe try for dinner.
They hit it out of the park.
Awesome brunch buffet. Great selection of delicious options, well presented.
Great dinner Paella was fantastic Service impeccable good drinks. Bread delicious
Excellent food. Every thing we ate was outstanding. We've eaten here before, but it was exceptional this time. The patatas bravatas were crispy this time, which we loved. We also liked the crispy milgas in everything.
The pork belly is so good with the crispy skin. We also tried the cod, wild mushrooms, pork meatballs and shrimp all very delicious. For dessert the cheese cake was the best then the custard,; churro was too greasy for me, but mom liked it. We will be back again to have fireworks in our mouths. Definitely a place for foodies.
Overall meal was delicious. Service was a little slow at times (slow to greet us and get our first drink and refills). But food came out quickly. We had the pork belly which was just divine (some of the best I've ever had). Scallops were also to die for. The roasted beets were a little underwhelming (pretty much just straight up beets). But overall, loved it, loved the atmosphere and will look forward to returning soon. Oh and the bread, it was DELISH!
This was the first tapas restaurant where I didn't leave hungry. The portions were ample for tapas and the menu varied and featuring the most flavorful dishes. The Gammas Al Ajillo was amazing! Will make it a double order next time!
We dined pre-theater and our experience was outstanding from start to finish. We were greeted graciously and the FOH confirmed we had a show. Sitting directly across from the kitchen and the two wood ovens, we had the best seats in the house! Excellent choices for specialty cocktails and wines by the glass. Every dish we tried was delicious and our server, Felipe, did an outstanding job of guiding us through the menu. My wife started with the beet salad and had the branzino for her entree. I opted for three tapas dishes: the grilled octopus, the pork belly and the sea scallops. We shared the olive oil cake along with tea and coffee to finish off an excellent experience. We had visited Oloroso once before and are big fans of the Wentz Restaurant Group. We highly recommend Oloroso!
Great Spanish tapas restaurant in Center city. This was our second visit to the restaurant and we were not disappointed. The Chorizo was delicious as was the meatballs, mushrooms and the bronzino. Tapas is so much fun especially when it was as delicious as it was at Oloroso. We arrived late due to traffic and we had tickets to a play. We finished in time to make the play but did not have a chance to try dessert. I am sure it was as fabulous as the rest of the meal. The service was excellent. Everyone was warm and friendly. Would highly recommend Oloroso.
loved every dish we ordred and we ordered a lot of them. The service excellent.
Very expensive! Ordered small plates and one bottle of wine, yet over $300 for 3 people. Wine was so so and extremely expensive.
Seated on a small table next to door, so every time someone came in or out, there was a chilly wind.
Restaurant ambience is nice but we will not return. So many alternative choices.
Everything on their menu is a winner! They have a large variety of sherries and excellent tapas.
We had the pre-theater menu and got to sit at the chef's counter. We loved all our dishes and it was interesting to watch the staff cook.
